@jj19 that sounds awful 🙈 glad it was false alarm though!!

I was supposed to be driving 4hr round trip for work visit today but have had such an upset stomach, no sickness just the other kind, ran into an asda in a blind panic 🤣🙈 I thought folic acid was supposed to cause constipation not the oppposite 😳😩

Still absolutely freezing all the time and weeing every 20mins Im sure someone in work is going to notice soon or will just think Im a massive hypochondriac if Im like this for next 7 weeks with no explanation 🤣🤣

DogsAndGin · 28/04/2022 12:59

@LC84 I am frozen too! Luckily the dog makes an excellent hot water bottle. Also, I am very hungry all the time but have no desire to eat - I just forced down a bowl of pasta 🤢 no sickness yet 🤞🏻

PinkFizz1 · 28/04/2022 13:02

@lovesT thank you 🙏🏼 I’m still paranoid that someone will magically see though! 😂

Meowcat89 · 28/04/2022 13:20

I sometimes struggle with constipation anyway but it's getting a bit of a joke now 🙈 anyone got any good remedies or know any over the counter stuff you can actually take in pregnancy? I already eat so much fibre and it doesn't seem to make any difference to me!

MsWonky · 28/04/2022 13:39

@Meowcat89 the only thing that tends to work for me is drinking lots of hot/warm water! I’ve tried fybogel etc and no movement at all but the water does the trick eventually!

lovesT · 28/04/2022 13:48

@Meowcat89 lactulose!! It can be used for very young babies so I'm pretty sure it's fine in pregnancy but double check. It's over the counter and it works. 😅 .. I didn't use it in pregnancy but used it after I had my daughter as it was ... not easy 😳 would very much recommend!! All it does is draw water to the stool to soften it ... Hope that helps x

AliceAbsolum · 28/04/2022 13:59

Hello ladies, I've been lurking for a bit, thought I'd join in.
I'm 7+1 today. Just came back from the EPU after an incredibly stressful week of pain and bleeding. But we have 1 baby in the right place with a heartbeat measuring exactly right. Relief doesn't begin to cover it. But it's still early days. No idea how to feel!
DH and I have had a long road. 7 years TTC, 4 round of IVF and a MC at 8 weeks last year.
Just get me to 12 weeks!

Tofu35 · 28/04/2022 14:27

We'll need a new thread soon (maybe by tomorrow considering how chatty we get). Does anyone want to create the new thread?

PinkFizz1 · 28/04/2022 14:33

@AliceAbsolum welcome! Can I ask if you had an early scan/saw the heartbeat before you had your MC at 8 weeks?

PinkFizz1 · 28/04/2022 14:35

@AliceAbsolum so sorry, I was typing too quick and didn’t put in my original message that I was sorry for your loss. Incredibly insensitive of me x

AliceAbsolum · 28/04/2022 14:37

@PinkFizz1 No worries. Yes unfortunately everything looked good at 6+2, strong heartbeat. There are no bloomin guarantees with early pregnancy :(

PinkFizz1 · 28/04/2022 14:38

@AliceAbsolum ah sorry to hear that. You’re right about no guarantees. This is my first so I have no real reason to feel as incredibly anxious as I do that something is going to go wrong, but I just can’t shake it!

congrats to you and everything crossed for you.

Mommabear20 · 28/04/2022 14:41

We could use the thread I started before I noticed this one had been started 😂 title is Due December 2022 ❤️👶

AliceAbsolum · 28/04/2022 14:44

@PinkFizz1 Horrible isn't it. Weirdly I'm less anxious this time around. Learnt a lot last time. Mainly don't get too attached too early and don't excessively Google.
May time pass quickly for us all x

baby2in2022 · 28/04/2022 14:51

@Mommabear20 when I search for that one it says it's already full 🤷‍♀️ maybe I'm typing it wrong xx

Tofu35 · 28/04/2022 14:55

Send us the link @Mommabear20 :)

Tofu35 · 28/04/2022 16:00

Thanks! We're only 30 posts away from filling this one up, it'll be done by dinner time!

Tonight it's veggie nachos for me, although I keep thinking how nice a chicken curry would be 🥰 but we have leftover chilli so better get rid of that first...

@LC84, I know what you mean! I've been alternating between constipation and the runs. And more the latter. I cut my prenatal in half and take half at lunch and half in the evening. It helps. I'm also totally off coffee, which my body just doesn't tolerate at all anymore.

I also had a loss a few months ago and it was a MMC. Super scary since I had a bunch of symptoms. I expected to be more anxious this time around, but I'm oddly at peace. I guess it's the realisation that's it's out of my hands that's an odd comfort. Just hoping everything is ok this time around.

Nejnej2 · 28/04/2022 16:30

@Sdoubleyou I ended up switching prenatals as somebody online recommended! I was previously on the Pregnacare conception ones (just using them up) and have switched to plain folic acid and vitamin D from Boots.
My tummy is much better, but I was also one week post COVID at the time so it's hard to say what the real culprit was! I was always find with them before.

Haxeri · 28/04/2022 17:14

I'm planning on telling my parents this weekend, but despite having a great relationship with them, every time I think about it some little gollum part of my brain goes "frankly it's none of their business". I had a similar frame of mind when I got engaged and decided to move out of the country, "none of their business". I'm just not a natural "sharer" I guess. Anyone else?

Tofu35 · 28/04/2022 17:16

I had an unopened box of prenatal vitamins from my last pregnancy booking appt (miscarried at 9 weeks) so when I got the BFP I switched from pregnacare to those. @sdoubleyou @Nejnej2 I went through a few days of having the runs, but now it seems like I poo infrequently but more solidly.
