Hello ladies ☺ I'm possibly a little too early jumping on this thread but after trying for a very long time I've just had my first positive test!

My period isn't due until Fri/Sat but I was at a work night out yesterday and I happened to have a spare test, which I thought I'd use in case there would be lots of alcohol. Turns out I got a pretty solid line 🥳

I'm trying hard not to get too excited as it's so early on but I'm really happy to have finally got a second line. Fingers crossed it will stick!!

DogsAndGin · 13/04/2022 09:00

Thank you @Tofu35

@AfterBathingAtBaxters wow how exciting! Huge congratulations to you x

DogsAndGin · 13/04/2022 09:05

@galaxyripple sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing 💐 you’ve made me realise I must tell my dad asap!

@dogtired22 how are you feeling today?

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 09:10

@AfterBathingAtBaxters haha I like your forward planning, I definitely had a few wines the days before I tested. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

@lovesT please let us know when they call back, I’ve got everything crossed for you x

I’m 5+3 today and still no sickness! Had another ‘moment’ to my DP this morning re lack of symptoms & just having a hard time accepting this is actually happening. I think if I had a phone call about my booking in appointment or something that might help tide me over to the early scan but it’s just so bizarre, you question whether you’re really pregnant or you’re imagining it!

MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee · 13/04/2022 09:29

Thanks for creating this @tofu35

@lovesT bleeding can be completely normal, I know how worrying it can be though (I had a bleed with my daughter) I hope epu get back to you soon, the wait is unbearable 💐

lovesT · 13/04/2022 09:31

@Tofu35 @PinkFizz1 thanks, I feel down and worried. I spoke to someone and they said they will call me back. I text my midwife and she asked about abdominal pain etc and to call the EPU if concerned so I have. They said one of them will call me back so hopefully soon. It's just horrible waiting and wondering what will happen 😥 x

LolaJ87 · 13/04/2022 09:36

Tagging @embob993 - the one who started us all off on the last thread Grin

Thanks for getting us going this time @Tofu35

Congrats @AfterBathingAtBaxters - welcome to the club! Did you work out an estimated due date yet?

@lovesT It happened to someone I know all through their first trimester and their baby got here fine. Obviously get it checked out but once it's not red blood, the chances of things being ok are much higher. Keep us posted, you'll be in my thoughts.

I'm feeling better than I have in days, still a bit queasy but a lot more energy. 9 days until my scan, I get a swoopy feeling in my stomach every time I think about it - I so badly want everything to be ok.

BuchananBaby · 13/04/2022 09:38

@Tofu35 thank you for making a new thread 😁

@lovesT I hope you're okay hopefully the EPU will be in touch soon and put your mind at ease just make sure you look after yourself ❤️

@AfterBathingAtBaxters and @DeadSouth congratulations on your BFP's 🥰

@PinkFizz1 have they given you a date for your booking appointment? I honestly had minimum symptoms until 3/4 days ago and now everything makes me feel sick especially 'wet' food 🤢 I'm 6+6 so you have plenty of times for symptoms but I hope you have a symptomless healthy pregnancy ❤️

DD triggered my nausea this morning she decided to projectile vomited her breakfast and part of last night's dinner everywhere including on me 🤢

PinkFizz1 · 13/04/2022 09:42

@BuchananBaby no I phoned last week and they said my details are on the list and to wait for a call back. I had an email with some links and leaflets etc & that said they can’t guarantee when a midwife will call but they are going to.

I’m North Ayrshire & I know it varies from place to place I just thought I would’ve had some communication by now!

BuchananBaby · 13/04/2022 09:56

@PinkFizz1 I know it's a nightmare I'm North Lanarkshire when I phoned she took my details and said someone would phone me back by 9 weeks to give me a booking in appointment which would be about 11 weeks but she said if I hadn't heard to phone them, same as last time I think it'll be a lot of chasing up

lovesT · 13/04/2022 10:02

@LolaJ87 thanks, yeah I've read a few things online where this seems to be quite common and women have gone in to have healthy babies but I can't help but worry 😥

@Buchananbaby thank you, they called back and I am booked in for an early scan next week on Thursday so it's going to be a long wait. Just hoping and praying I don't get any bleeding. They said the hope is that it's implantation bleeding that's only just coming out. They are sending me a pregnancy test to take the morning of the scan to make sure it's still positive 😥.

I still have symptoms and apart from feeling down and worried I feel okay.

I'll keep you all updated x

MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee · 13/04/2022 10:12

Oh @lovesT think nothing of them sending you a test the nurses and doctors are v process driven. It doesn't mean that they're expecting it to be negative, it just saves them doing a test when you arrive.
Fingers crossed for you 🤞

DogsAndGin · 13/04/2022 10:14

@PinkFizz1 I hope you’re okay. I feel much the same - no symptoms, no sickness and lots of tummy aches. My DSis (has a lovely little boy) has reassured me that she was exactly the same at first, and ended up with hyperemesis from week 6 onwards! I also haven’t had a date for the booking appointment yet, but the midwife called me yesterday, just to say hi. Which I thought was really lovely, as it was purely for the benefit of the mental health of prospective mothers.

raxel · 13/04/2022 10:14

@PinkFizz1 I’m 5+4 and no sickness or anything else really here, either. First pregnancy so nothing to compare with and the uncertainty is driving me nuts!

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 10:15

@pinkfizz1 @buchananBaby hah no way, my health board is Glasgow! If you're still waiting for a call back from last week Fizz, phone them again. The booking in and initial scan are quite time sensitive, wouldn't want you to be overlooked because of an admin error.

DeadSouth · 13/04/2022 10:16

@lovesT I hope they get back to you soon, I had brown bleeding that turned red with my second and all was good just a little cervical irritation. Hopefully the EPU can get you checked over soon 💕

@BuchananBaby all that chasing sounds ridiculous I’m in North Lanarkshire too and called to arrange my booking appointment yesterday (6 weeks) and they booked it for next Thursday (so just over 7 weeks) while I was on the phone.. hopefully they don’t leave you till 11 weeks to book in

DogsAndGin · 13/04/2022 10:18

Welcome @deadsouth how are you?

Mommabear20 · 13/04/2022 10:21

Haha 😂 I didn't see this one and started another new one! 🤦‍♀️
