Wow @mommabear20 you did the full register of posters too, we're not worthy of your organisation 😂

@Tofu35 you're kidding! What a small world! Where are you planning on giving birth? I think I'll go to the Royal again as I had my daughter there last year 😁

@DeadSouth wow what a small world! It's a bit of a joke here tbh I fall under Cumbernauld and found it was constantly chasing stuff, when I had my daughter I had to phone the hospital at 12 weeks about my scan that my midwife was supposed to arrange and it was never done so had to arrange it myself and I got the letter Friday afternoon for a Monday morning appointment. Luckily I was wfh so I could give my boss some notice. I also arrived for so many appointments and had to wait 15 mins for the midwife to arrive 🙈 shambles!

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 10:41

@buchananbaby going to the QEUH. Aww that's lovely if you had such a good experience (and a wee girl!) at the Royal last year :)

Thank you for starting another thread @Tofu35

I've been feeling nauseous these two days and have just lost my appetite. I haven't been sleeping well because I'm still getting used to falling asleep after peeing in the middle of the night 🥲 I already went before I slept!!

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 11:04

My constant refreshing of MN is probably a sign of my levels of nausea today. First day where I've felt like a zombie at my desk. The countdown is on for the weekend and bank holiday Monday!

@raxel I know what you mean! My first baby too! Last week I was hoping to get more symptoms as I thought I would find them reassuring! I'm not complaining I just want a healthy baby in December 👶

Nejnej · 13/04/2022 11:16

I'm struggling with the nausea too @Tofu35 - I'm back to work on Friday after 2 weeks off (COVID and some annual leave) and dreading whether I'm gonna cope!

MadamMaltesers · 13/04/2022 11:42

Hi everyone!

Can someone add me pls I'm not able to on this phone. I'm 5w 3days today edd varies a bit. But im sticking with December 10th. I joined the Due June 2022 lot, but mc in November at 8 weeks. I was in two minds whether or not to join this group, but I think I could do with the support. Wishing you all healthy pregnancies.

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 11:46

Hi @MadamMaltesers, I also had a miscarriage in November so definitely understand your caution about joining here. I've joined a few pregnancy after miscarriage threads on this board too, so all my bases are covered. How are you feeling today?

Hi everyone, I got my bfp 2 days ago & a due date calculator tells me baby will be due 20th Dec. This is dc3 for me & a complete surprise so I'm still coming to terms with it all! Really looking forward to getting to know all of you Smile

Sdoubleyou · 13/04/2022 11:57

Hi all, feel free to chastise me, but I very stupidly felt my cervix yesterday (with clean hands in the shower) and then proceeded to panic search Google for an hour after I found it was quite low. Turns out cervix positioning this early is notoriously unreliable, but it still gave me unnecessary anxiety. Why? Why do I torture myself like this? Otherwise the symptoms are getting stronger. Terrible fatigue and seriously sore nips. Hope everyone is well and keeping everything crossed for those waiting for scans and appointments.

Mommabear20 · 13/04/2022 12:00

Is it too early for cravings? I've been thinking of nothing but roast potatoes for 2 days so I'm having a massive bowl for my lunch and then doing ac roast dinner with them again tonight 😂

@mommabear20 if this is when nausea starts, I think you should be allowed to have cravings (especially if it's a bowl of roast potatoes at lunch time!) 😍

I had some pinky red discharge last night, but nothing since - trying not to panic, but easier said than done 😕 Not sure whether to call someone or not either, or who to call if I do. My GP were quite rude when I rang - Just sent me a link to an online self-referral, and that said they'd contact me within 28 days 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 12:32

@noodle87, call the EPU and say you had pinky/red discharge. They're there to help xx

Hi everyone, been lingering for a while just wanted to say hello. I’m due on the 6th if all goes well this will be my first. Me and my partner have been trying for years, fell pregnant naturally 4 years ago but Miscarried , then had failed IVF last year. But here we are again and have naturally conceived Smile My anxiety is going crazy though anyone have some good techniques for help? X

KittyKat1989 · 13/04/2022 12:37

Hi all. I'm checking on you all every day (or more like every hour!) but I feel too paralyzed by fear to post much. I'm so worried that something will go wrong. I have had some very light spotting over the last couple of days but no pain. Could that be normal or should I ring the midwife / EPU? I have a private 7W scan booked in for Tuesday, so am hoping that I'll calm down a bit after that.

lovesT · 13/04/2022 12:49

@Noodle87 definitely ring your local early pregnancy unit. I rang them this morning as I've had brown discharge when I wipe and I'm booked in for a scan next week. They were very good. Obviously still worried but definitely ring someone x

Thank you, our EPU are only contactable through a GP referral, and GP rarely answer the phone - I'll give them a try and if I can't get through maybe call 111. I just really don't want to waste anyones time

MadamMaltesers · 13/04/2022 12:54

@Tofu35 I'm okay thanks just a bit on edge which is understandable. Think I might pop into those pregnancy after miscarriage threads too. @Tofu35are you trying anything different this pregnancy? I'm taking high dose folic acid and aspirin not sure it's going to make a difference though

lovesT · 13/04/2022 13:12

@Noodle87 I don't think you'll be wasting anyone's time, I'm sure the midwives would prefer that you check rather than worry or anything. That's annoying they're not easy to contact though. I hope you get some answers soon.

I still feel so rough - nauseous, sore boobs, sense of smell is crazy and I hate our new sofas because they stink, gone off loads of food and sooo tired. I'm hoping that having all these symptoms is a positive sign. So far brown discharge hasn't got any worse. I might take a pregnancy test tomorrow morning and hope that the line is still as strong as it was 🙏

Mommabear20 · 13/04/2022 13:25

I'm sooooo hungry today! I had cereal for breakfast, a banana, a bowl of curly fries and a bowl of roast potatoes! And now all I can think about is McDonald's double quarter pounders 😂

Tofu35 · 13/04/2022 13:34

@MadamMaltesers taking pregnancy vitamins (that I got from the midwife last time round) and trying to make sure I go for at least one walk per day instead of just moping around the house! Also, remembering how sick I got last time, I'm trying to get as much work done as possible while the nausea and tiredness are still manageable...

I've heard of some people taking low dose aspirin but never tried it myself!

@mommabear20 curly fries! Haven't had them in years
