@Mommabear20 I was convinced I was having a boy then my daughter arrived 🙈😂

This time I am really spotty which happened with DD although DP is desperate for a boy but we won't care either way 🥰

I think I may jump on the Dinners on this thread and have a baked potato and Tuna only thing I can think about eating 😂

Laughingmole · 26/04/2022 19:02

I got my results back from my urine sample last week and apparently I have a urine infection! I have no symptoms of this but they have put me on antibiotics just in case. Apparently it’s really common in pregnancy to show infection?

Mommabear20 · 26/04/2022 19:22

@lovesT I'm officially out of my normal jeans at 7+3 😂 had to wear leggings to work today which didn't go down well until I said is that or nothing 🤣

Mommabear20 · 26/04/2022 19:26

@Graceybaby because I think I would prefer another girl 🤣 so I feel like I've jinxed myself

bbno2 · 26/04/2022 19:54

@lovesT I’m starting to feel at 8 weeks like I’m actually getting a bump which can’t be possible surely?! But it’s baby number 2 for me so maybe? 🤷🏼‍♀️

i find it hard to remember who to tag so sorry I’m not replying directly.. but yeah I wouldn’t bother taking your partners to your midwife appointments. Especially not the first one. Maybe the 16w one if they let you hear the heartbeat or a later one where they do heartbeat.. but not all midwives do Dopplers anyway. There really isn’t much for them to learn or get involved in.

food wise it’s like I’m constantly hungry but I don’t fancy anything and then occasionally something sounds appetising. A jacket potato is now sounding quite good. I know you’re supposed to moderate tuna consumption due to the mercury and I’ve had a bit already restart yesterday so will go away and remind myself of the guidance.

today I’ve just felt really out of it. Like I’m hungover. Bring on second trimester energy!!

Yeside · 26/04/2022 20:06

Hi all,

I’ve been reading a lot with occasional post but had my viability scan yesterday and although I’m scared to join this group I’m trying to be positive. I’ve been trying for a sibling for almost 3 years now (my son is almost 5) and had a miscarriage 2 years ago when I was the exact due date as a best friend. It was a hard journey. I found I had a polyp so went to have that removed and was told by ivf clinic after that I should get pregnant - it didn’t happen so went ahead with IVF as I’m 42 (as of last week) and feel time is ticking. First round January failed and now having transferred two embryos we have one that’s currently sticking and due date is December 9th. … hoping for the best 💜

BuchananBaby · 26/04/2022 20:13

@bbno2 you should be fine I think it's if you have Tuna 4/5 times a week it's an issue

@Yeside what a journey, congratulations 🥳❤️

PinkFizz1 · 26/04/2022 20:32

Hi all,

Some good news! I can’t believe I’m writing this. Our scan went perfectly, everything is healthy and we saw a very strong fast heartbeat, and I’m measuring 2 days ahead!

I cannot BELIEVE it! I can’t believe everything went well! And seeing my wee blob on the screen was just amazing!!

question for the ladies that have been to early scans and dated a few days before/later - did you change your due date in your pregnancy apps? And are yous going by the scan dates now instead of what you were previously going by?

Ps thanks everyone for all the well wishes. We are so made up!! ❤️

lovesT · 26/04/2022 20:39

@bbno2 @mommabear20 glad it's not just me! I also feel like there's a tiny bump too but surely not (also my second) .. I'm quite small anyway so maybe it will show sooner?! Husband said just get maternity jeans and leggins out again so I might haha, better to be comfortable than walking around the house with unbuttoned jeans 😅.

Haha glad the jacket potatoes and tuna is catching on! I've got one more cooled potato left so might have it tomorrow 😋

@cocoforbes honestly baked beans got me through my first pregnancy, they hold a special place in my heart (and stomach) 😂

@PinkFizz1 I really hope everything went okay today x

bbno2 · 26/04/2022 20:41

@PinkFizz1 oh congratulations! 🥰

@BuchananBaby thank you! Saved me a Google!

embob993 · 26/04/2022 20:43

@PinkFizz1 woohoo!! Congratulations 🥰 I bet hearing that little heart beat made everything seem so real.

Because mine put me a week ahead, I'm going by the date they told me as was quite a clear image. However, my NHS scan measured me a few days behind that. That scan was a blurrier image.. the baby was in a different position and apparently my bladder was too full! So I'm making the private scan my due date for now until my 12 week scan can confirm it more accurately 😊

BuchananBaby · 26/04/2022 20:48

@lovesT DP even had one too 🙈

@PinkFizz1 congratulations that's so exciting 🥰! I changed mine yeah I'm sure with DD the early scan put me a few days ahead then the 12 week scan done the same. I'm saying I'm officially 9 weeks today 🥰

baby2in2022 · 26/04/2022 20:57

@PinkFizz1 aw amazing news so happy for you. With my son I moved my dates forwards. I think I moved forward 3 days on private scan and then another day forward on the 12 week NHS one xx

Sdoubleyou · 26/04/2022 20:57

@PinkFizz1 so glad to hear it went well!!

I may be the only one (going on the conversations in this thread), but the idea of tuna is making my stomach heave! 😆

F03t · 26/04/2022 21:02

So happy to hear your wonderful news @PinkFizz1 how far along did that make you now? Really happy for you!

I’ve had awful diarrhoea all day today (tmi sorry) and worried about what that means pregnancy wise… think it’s just nerves for my scan tomorrow and hubby has gone out tonight so my worries are growing solo! Would appreciate some crossed fingers/prayers for good news tomorrow x

lovesT · 26/04/2022 21:04

@PinkFizz1 sorry didn't see your post before I posted .. that's great news!! So happy for you. Now soak it up and enjoy it 😊 my dates seemed to be spot on with both scans so I haven't changed anything x

Orcarain · 26/04/2022 21:05

Just experienced a small amount of brown discharge. Sat in tears to NHS 24. I'm only 7 weeks so there's not much they could do for me. Just have to wait and see. Just hoping it's a sensitive cervix or implantation bleeding.

lovesT · 26/04/2022 21:06

@F03t it's always a nerve wracking time! I haven't had that because of pregnancy but if it makes you feel better I get it when I'm nervous too 🥴. What time is the scan? We'll all be thinking of you and waiting for your update 😊🤞🙏🙏

lovesT · 26/04/2022 21:19

@Orcarain if it gives you any reassurance at all I had about 4 days of brown spotting when I wiped after going to the loo, it stopped just before 7 weeks so it was more like 6/6.5 weeks but I had 2 early scans and all was okay, they couldn't see a reason for it and before the scans the midwife said it could be implantation, I asked if it can happen that late and she said it could as it takes time to make it's way out. I know that is no certainty and I know the feeling, it's horrible. But I read so many posts and it does seem to be common. I hope it's something simple and you get some answers soon. Can you book an early private scan? X

Orcarain · 26/04/2022 21:24

thanks @lovesT. I was also thinking implantation bleeding was too late for me, but you’ve reassured me.

I’ve luckily not got any pain. I’m such a worry wort. I felt so sorry for the girl on the phone trying to get my details between sobs!

my nearest private scan won’t see people until their 10 weeks. Need to look into it a bit more.

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 26/04/2022 22:11

Gosh this thread is busy, a few days away and I'm already lost who's where and what's been happening! I'll need to try and stop by more often!

Not much happening here...
I'm 5+3 today, still no symptoms other than occasional cramping 🤷‍♀️ Just under three weeks until my first scan!

Congrats to those that already saw a healthy heartbeat at their first scan, exciting times!! 😊❤ And good luck to those that have scans coming up! Looking forward to hear how everyone is getting on.

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 26/04/2022 22:17

@Orcarain When I first found out I was pregnant I read through quite a lot of "symptoms post" on here because I didn't have any. One thing I came across quite a lot was women talking about brown discharge/spotting, and this seems to be something many experience.

I don't think this is anything to worry about, but I know that's easier said than done. It might reassure you to read some of those post 🙂

Orcarain · 26/04/2022 22:22

@AfterBathingAtBaxters this is why I love this forum! I’ve been reading and reading. Everything that happens to me I’m Googling “insert symptom mumsnet”.

Well I’m now tucked up in bed. Absolutely nothing there on the sanitary towel they advised me to put on.

thank you so much for responding.

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 26/04/2022 22:23

@Yeside Congratulations! How far along are you now?
Having had the first scan is a big milestone, that's great news!

CP22 · 26/04/2022 22:26
