@Orcarain I think we've all done that and some (like me) a bit more often than is necessary 😄 But that's why it's good to share and not be afraid to ask. It's very stressful this pregnancy business!

Yeside · 26/04/2022 22:43

Thank you 💜 It’s only 7 weeks 2 days… due to ivf they did donn no it earlier … I have another booked with midwife coming up. Tentatively excited .. it was nice to see the flashing heartbeat

Noodle87 · 26/04/2022 22:45

First two days back have been tough, I've had to confide in a trusted friend and my direct line manager because I've been really nauseous. And I've had a 2 hour nap both evenings...

I am still completely off sweet things, I genuinely think if anybody at works notices anything, it'll be because I've stopped scoffing chocolate and the biscuits 🤣 Anything salty on the other hand.....I could eat 10 bags of crisps.

And whoever mentioned the fridge smell.....100%. Opened the fridge and work today and retreated VERY quickly!!

5manc · 26/04/2022 22:46

@PinkFizz1 that's amazing news, so happy for you! ❤️ I was measuring one day behind so I'll probably change my date as I wasn't 100% sure when I ovulated anyway then see what happens at the 12 week scan!

Good luck to everyone else with scans this week 🥰🤞

GabsK92 · 27/04/2022 05:42

Hello just introducing myself on here having jumped from the Nov 22 group. I had my second scan today and DD expected 1st Dec. Looking forward to a little Christmas baby all going well xx

Pinkfig · 27/04/2022 08:21

@KittyKat1989 we decided to book the nipt as I'm an older mum at 40 and the combined screening test the NHS provides is likely to produce a high risk result (from what I've been reading). The harmony test will give us an almost certain result of chromosomal abnormalities. Its basically to get rid or the stress factor the NHS screening might give us.

MrsCrumbtious · 27/04/2022 09:26

@PinkFizz1 thats amazing news so happy for you!

Have had to switch to maternity clothes today as the bloat is well and truly arrived (at 6+3) we were planning on waiting until our 12 week scan to tell family but don’t think I can hide it for that long 😂

hopefulsunshine11 · 27/04/2022 09:32

Has everyone's booking appointment been face to face or online? I'm in Scotland and it's meant to be on Near Me. My appointment is at 10 and still not received the link. Honestly why can't we just have bloody face to face for these types of things now it's ridiculous ☹️.

Wanderlust16 · 27/04/2022 09:49

Hey! I’m in Scotland too. My booking appointment time was in person but my consultant appointment is going to be online.

Tofu35 · 27/04/2022 09:55

@hopefulsunshine11 @wanderlust16 I'm in Glasgow! My booking appointment and first scan are on the same day, both face to face but in different parts of the city (Partick and the Queen Elizabeth hospital). Let's hope there's no delays or big waits because it's looking like I'll busy!

Hey @Tofu35 my appointments were there! What I would say is my booking appointment was well over an hour and they were late so I didn’t get out til about 2 hours after my appointment time. Just a heads up!

Congratulations @PinkFizz1 - so pleased everything is going well for you!

I am a complete wreck at the moment. The nausea, mood swings, headaches, exhaustion.... I can't cope with my current workload and I'm literally a heaving, weepy mess a lot of the time. I'm on holiday for a week at the end of next week, so I just hope I can hold out until then.

Tofu35 · 27/04/2022 11:08

Thanks @Wanderlust16 , I'll maybe give them a call and find out if having both on the same day was an admin error or if it will be okay! Think my scan is before the booking appt so maybe it'll be okay...

@hopefulsunshine I'm in Scotland too and mine was over the phone. With my daughter pre pandemic (and in England) it was fave to face which I liked! I agree I'm bored of it all being online or over the phone, although it does make it easier with a toddler I suppose.

hopefulsunshine11 · 27/04/2022 11:28

Thanks ladies, think I'm just feeling hormonal, eventually got on and she was lovely and it makes it feel more real although I'm still a nervous wreck and don't think I'll relax until the scan! I'm my own worst nightmare.

It's bizarre how it's done different ways throughout the NHS.

PinkFizz1 · 27/04/2022 11:50

Ahh thanks everyone! I can't believe it! I'm now 7+5 which is amazing as I wanted to be a few days ahead. Thanks for all the info on the pregnancy apps too, I've updated my apps to reflect the new dates 😊

I can't stop watching the videos of the wee heart beating 😍

MariaDingbat · 27/04/2022 12:32

Hi ladies, I'm just back from my first scan and am delighted to say we saw a lovely little flickering heartbeat! Measuring just right too at 7+6. I'm so relieved. Still feel dreadful and throwing up but I'm so happy.

@MariaDingbat huge congratulations! I'm delighted for you, what lovely news.

Orcarain · 27/04/2022 12:57

@hopefulsunshine11 Also in Scotland. My first appointment is over the phone... but I then have to go into the hospital for a blood test the same day. It feels like such time wasting!

Nellynoo182 · 27/04/2022 13:06

Hey everyone

First time pregnancy and an anxious mess over here 🙈

Last few weeks I have been really nauseous and threw up a couple of times. However, last 2 days I am really hungry and back to eating like normal (if not more!). Is this normal? Is this a sign of miscarriage? I haven’t bled and I still feel quite tired. I have been staying with my mum and she has been pampering me and cooking for me so maybe that has had an effect? Thanks for any guidance/ experiences you can share! Xx

Graceybaby · 27/04/2022 13:33

@Jj19 I've just added you on Facebook, could you add me to the group too please? Thank you! My names Keely :)

F03t · 27/04/2022 13:37

Hi all, delighted to share that my scan went well today :) I thought I was 7+1 but little bean is measuring 8+2 actually (giving an EDD of 5th Dec). I sobbed with reflief and joy at hearing the heartbeat and we saw a teeeny leg & arm. So many happy tears and just so proud of little bean growing away! 😍

Hope everyone is doing OK, and congrats on your scan @MariaDingbat

PinkFizz1 · 27/04/2022 13:53

@Jj19 I think I’m ready to join the Facebook group, could you post your details again please so I can add you? Thanks 😊
