So pleased to hear so many scans going well 🥳

Chanel05 · 27/04/2022 13:59

@Nellynoo182 it's normal for symptoms to come and go :).

Having lots of symptoms or losing symptoms doesn't tell you about the health of a pregnancy.

Nellynoo182 · 27/04/2022 14:06

Thank you for the reassurance - it’s appreciated!

LolaJ87 · 27/04/2022 14:15

@F03t woohoo! That must have been amazing, huge congratulations 🎉

I have to ask though - it seems everyone else is measuring either correctly or ahead... am I the only one who has measured behind at an early scan? 😕Again, I'm a bit of mess at the moment so I'm probably just finding something to worry about where there's nothing to worry about.

Meowcat89 · 27/04/2022 14:35

@LolaJ87 no you're not alone. I thought I was 8 weeks or 7 weeks 4 days depending on what app I looked at, and she said I was measuring at 7 weeks 1 day. I was starting to feel a bit weird that everyone else seems to be more or less on time.

I have another scan on the 9th May so fingers crossed!

LolaJ87 · 27/04/2022 14:58

Very similar so @Meowcat89 - my LMP dates had me at 7+6 and my scan measured at 7+1. The nurse didn't seem at all concerned, especially as I have irregular cycles. Just seeing everyone else measure on-time or ahead made me start to worry!

My next scan is at my NIPT next Thursday (5 May). I'm sure we'll both see progress on the next scans. Thanks so, so much for replying, I had been told it was very common but I was feeling like an outlier here!

Meowcat89 · 27/04/2022 15:13

Oh that's interesting cos didn't we have our scans on the same day? How weird that we both got the same date! Let me know how you get on next week, I'm sure all will be fine! 🙂

LolaJ87 · 27/04/2022 15:20

@Meowcat89 I can't remember - was yours last Friday? I have desperate baby brain 🙈I will definitely keep you posted, please do the same! I'm sure we'll both end up with massive babies and laugh thinking back to when we were measuring a little bit small 😂

Meowcat89 · 27/04/2022 15:26

@LolaJ87 That's ok. There's so many people on this thread it's hard to keep up with who's who! Yes, it was on the 22nd 😊 That is something I am wondering though as small babies do actually run in my family. As long as we have healthy ones that's all that matters! & I will def keep you posted. When's your midwife appointment? I have that on the 9th too.

Tofu35 · 27/04/2022 15:31

Thought I'd check with the midwife today since my booking and scan were the same day. Seems that shouldn't have happened so my first scan will be at 12 weeks (before it was happening at 9+4). Good I checked, but also ive given myself a longer wait now!

After immense tummy pain and the dreaded shoulder pain, I was utterly convinced this was ectopic. Turns out, everything is fine!

watermelonwizard · 27/04/2022 15:45

hello.

I found out on my birthday that I was pregnant....it wasn't planned but after a very stressful week, we have decided to continue with the pregnancy...I am hoping to start feeling some joy soon. I am aware this sounds so ungrateful, I have an 11 month old daughter, who we were trying for for a little while and reading a post such as this would have made me angry...but I am just being honest. I feel extremely daunted and scared, but I am hoping this group will help to ease my worries and get excited :) congratulations to you all.

I am 32, married, with a 10 yr old boy from a previous relationship and my 11 month old girl. so this December bean will be number 3.....!! I am due Dec 21st. X

Tofu35 · 27/04/2022 15:51

Lovely scan @DogsAndGin ! Welcome to the group @watermelonwizard :)

LolaJ87 · 27/04/2022 15:57

@Meowcat89 I'm in Ireland so it's a bit different here, have my booking visit in the hospital at the same appointment as my 12 week scan, so 23 May. Feels like such a long time away!

@DogsAndGin look at that little one go! It's worth feeling awful to see them safely where they are supposed to be. You must be so relieved! Congratulations.

@watermelonwizard you're entitled to feel exactly how you feel. You must be exhausted with a baby in the house and an older child, an unexpected pregnancy on top of that must have been quite a shock. Hopefully as the news settles and the first trimester passes, you'll start to feeling better and then the joy will come in time.

watermelonwizard · 27/04/2022 16:16

@Tofu35 @LolaJ87

thank you! yes I think it will take a while to get my head around it all! I am dreading telling work as I have only just returned from my last mat leave- trying to tell myself it must happen a lot!

This will be quite different for me in terms of time of year, my DS and DD are May/July babies!

LC84 · 27/04/2022 16:26

@DogsAndGin thats amazing!! How far along are you? Lovely pic!!!!

baby2in2022 · 27/04/2022 16:46

@watermelonwizard congrats. I'm similar to you. I have an 11 month old son who took 14 months to conceive. We did plan to try later this year for a second with my son taking so long but accidentally got pregnant. I found out Easter weekend. I've just returned to work from mat leave as well and was only in this department for 6 months before going on my mat leave so I feel a bit awful having to tell them I'm having another year off.
Now it's sunk in we are so excited to expand our family and for my son to have a sibling so close in age!! Hoping they'll be the best of friends xx

MsWonky · 27/04/2022 18:08

Hi everyone

Please may I join in? Had my bfp following FET (first one ended in cm last month) and am 4+3, due end of December. HCG all looking good and I’m scheduled for my early scan in a couple of weeks, felt super crampy all day today and off my food apart from marmite which I am eating out of the jar! Trying not to worry about the cramping and was a bit reluctant to join the group so early on but wanted to feel like I’m not alone!

LC84 · 27/04/2022 18:13

@MsWonky I felt the same! Nervous to join group just in case but wanting to think positive! Ive had period like cramps for the last week (am 5w1 today) and booked an early scan for 6w4!

DogsAndGin · 27/04/2022 18:29

@LC84 thank you 😊 I thought I was 6 weeks 6 days, but they reckon it’s more like 6 weeks. I couldn’t believe that everything was okay! I’d convinced myself it wasn’t going well 😅

MsWonky · 27/04/2022 18:42

@LC84 thank you! We’ve had a bit of journey to get here so I think I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Feels nice to be part of group tbh, we’ve kept our struggles very very quiet over the last couple of years and have watched every single one of our friends get pregnant so I’ve felt really alone for a good while now!

cocoforbes · 27/04/2022 18:46

Such lovely news from scans today! 🎉

@Nellynoo182 I had a few days this week where my symptoms seemed to get dramatically better to the point where I almost felt normal. I totally freaked out and had a massive cry the first day. But after doing a bunch of research (of other mumsnet posts, as you do!) I realised that lots of women report them coming and going. I also found a number of posts about symptoms disappearing early and not coming back and the women having perfectly healthy pregnancies. One woman said she had told a midwife her concerns and they'd simply said 'symptoms mean nothing', I've been trying to remind myself of that statement now regularly!

@MsWonky @LC84 I've had what has felt like constant mild cramping since 4 weeks and I am 7+2 today. I think it's pretty normal. Got my scan tomorrow so I'll know for sure soon!

MsWonky · 27/04/2022 18:55

@cocoforbes thank you 😊! Good luck for tomorrow, how exciting!!!

PinkFizz1 · 27/04/2022 18:55

I can’t remember who was adding to the Facebook group (this thread moves so fast 😂) I’ve tagged @Jj19 but it could also have been @BuchananBaby 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry ladies! Can someone send me their fb details so I can add them to be added to the group please?

MochaHoldTheMilkAndCoffee · 27/04/2022 19:25
