Spoke to the midwife and I've got my booking appointment next week and bloods etc the following one. she reckons based on dates I'm over 7 weeks pregnant, which is surprising as I only found out a week ago. I just couldn't remember how long before that I did tests that were negative. I expect my due date to be later once the scan is done but we shall.

Welcome new people to the group! @scoutcat I hope your scan goes well for you. It must be hard not to be nervous.

xreadytoglow · 28/03/2022 16:44

Any advice..
Today I've had a tender lower abdomen. I can feel it even when I don't apply pressure. It feels almost like a pulled muscle / stitch kind of feeling. It feels tight. And its all the way across from hip to hip.
I've read about round ligament pain but it doesn't sound like how Google describes it.. do you think I've pulled the muscle somehow? I do stretch first thing in the morning out of habit and when I'm rolling over etc it's always an effort cus I try not to disturb my dog 🥴🙈 so its always a bit acrobatic haha. I need to stop because I've worried myself now.

Cheetocat · 28/03/2022 17:42
@Cheetocat I hope that manages to stop the bleeding, must be hard not to worry.

Also feeling pretty sick this morning, wish I could do nothing!

I don't have a date for the due dates list, as have no idea until I see the midwife and get a scan!
Thank you, it is lighter today at least which is reassuring. At least I saw a heartbeat in A&E which was amazing.

I won't be getting a proper due date until my 2nd trimestre scan which is in quite a while so I'm just going by the date that was calculated in my period tracking app for now.

Thanks for setting up the new thread @Cheetocat , I hope the progesterone works for you and stops the bleeding! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I am 5 weeks tomorrow and still really only having heartburn at the moment, though am exhausted all the time! (Which could just as easily be due to running round after the toddler!) I have such anxiety that something is going to wrong with this, going to have a private scan in two weeks and it feels like forever!!

TFMinx · 28/03/2022 18:18

I'm feeling so sick! I teach reception, so it's really hard. Made the decision to tell my boss today (7 weeks) as I feel so bloody rough, but luckily he was lovely about it all. Hope it subsides soon though!

tigger2022 · 28/03/2022 18:46

Today I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum - only 6.5 weeks so still a way to go till it subsides Sad anyone else?

I'm not sure whether to tell my boss or not (I'm basically useless at the moment but I work from home so it's easier to get away with being useless!) - I got selected for a lot of professional fast track programmes and I don't want to jeopardise it!

Cheetocat · 28/03/2022 19:05

@BabyBird20 You're most welcome!
I had my first appointment this morning, it took 2.5 hours to go over everything which I didn't expect. I told my doctor that I have no nausea and she said that was great and that not everyone gets it. I think I'm okay with it because I know my digestion is different and I have other symptoms like the sore boobs etc.. so I know things are happening with my hormones even though I don't have that classic symptom.

@tigger2022 I am so sorry to hear that, I know for some people it goes on for a long stretch of the pregnancy but I am sending you good vibes and wishes that you get relief really soon! A lot of people who sufer with HG have such a hard time, I hope the people in your life are caring and sensitive to your needs! Flowers

Overlyanxious · 28/03/2022 19:23

@xreadytoglow is there a chance it could be bowel related - so gas or constipation? I get pressure and random pains due to both.

Katiekat84 · 28/03/2022 19:28

Just checking in, I'm 6+2 after IVF. Have been suffering with sore boobs heartburn and headaches and a bit of a dodgy tummy but nothing too bad yet.

@tigger2022 I'm sorry to hear that. HG is so tough. If it were me I'd tell my boss you'll need support.

@BabyBird20 I'm the same I thought I'd be less anxious second time round but I'm still just as worried about the scan and just praying everything will be OK

Bramblecrumble21 · 28/03/2022 19:29

Checking in 8 weeks and feeling back to normal most of the time. I'm just waiting now for my booking appointment. I didn't get many symptoms last time.

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late to the group but would like to join! I'm 5w2d today, due 26th November or thereabouts. I got my BFP last weekend but it hasn't really sunk in yet. Symptom-wise, I've been feeling slightly sick and headachey at times, and sooooo tired, but nothing too severe (yet?!).

ALittleBitofVitriol · 28/03/2022 21:35

Oh I'm sorry @tigger2022, HG is awful. My best friend had it quite severely and, honestly had a really rough time. Try not to get dehydrated (my friend ended up needing fluids a few times, which helped a lot). Don't be afraid to ask for help - especially from your doctor!

Brambleowl · 28/03/2022 23:27

I'm just joining in too. I'm 6 weeks 3 days and due in the 19th Nov. I've had previous misscarriages so I'm freaking out a little bit each day and still can't believe that I'm really pregnant. I can't celebrate until I know everything is OK. Do I wait for my 12 weeks scan or do I try and get an earlier one? That's the question I'm asking myself. I do have some symptoms. I'm hungry, nauseous occasionally, tired, constipated and getting occasional crampy/ stretchy feelings in my uterus area.

I had an unembryonic pregnancy at 11 weeks and I can't get my hopes up because the scan might show that there is nothing there again.

fuckwhatshouldido · 29/03/2022 00:18

Just placemarking on the new thread. Sorry to those having a hard time ❤️
Nothing to report here…just plodding along slightly in denial still!

MagicalMommy · 29/03/2022 04:22

Hi everyone! First time poster and first pregnancy :) I’m just over five weeks today and estimated due date is November 27th 2022 eeeek! No major symptoms so far, lots of cramping in the first few days and now just a lot of pulling feelings when I move. My digestion also seems to have slowed down to a snails pace haha. Don’t have my first scan for a few weeks but looking forward to going through this with everyone :)

Congrats and welcome in! This is also my first pregnancy, 8 weeks today. I feel like this first trimestre is crawling.

@tigger2022

I feel so bad for you HG is horrendous. I had it in my first pregnancy and this one is going the same way. I went on cyclizine last time and I’ve put myself back on it again although it’s not really helping yet. I can’t get out of bed at the minute, I’m completely useless.

Also, I think you definitely need to inform your work so they can support you. There’s no hiding HG and you will need their support. Have you been given any meds to try?

tigger2022 · 29/03/2022 07:58

@Motherofpugs the doctor is sending me cyclizine so I can't wait to try that! I've been awake since 3am vomiting so probably going to take the day off work anyway. Will have to see if the cyclizine makes it any better...

Motherofpugs · 29/03/2022 08:22

@tigger2022 it should help at least a bit. It was a lifesaver for me in my first pregnancy. They can knock you out a bit though and make you really drowsy! But it’s better than the nausea and vomiting. Just try to rest as much as you can and definitely don’t go work. Your doctor might even be able to sign you off for a bit.

Make sure you speak up as well if you can’t keep any food or water down - you might need to go hospital for fluids. Hopefully the meds will help with that. If they don’t there are different meds you can try instead.
