@ChasingRainbows22 last pregnancy I missed out as I looked too late. So this time I emailed about getting on the waiting list for autumn summer and she said, most women start at 12 weeks pregnant. I also went to one yoga class in my life and embarrassed myself by being unable to balance, and fell through a door I tried to lean on. although the corrections they give are good and I can't get that from YouTube. I have hypermibile elbows so normally lock them and I was showed to flex them I bit and I just wobbled.

roobearbaby · 03/06/2022 07:35

OMG so I am sure I felt my first proper bit of movement last night. I've been feeling the odd flutter now and again but last night I am absolutely sure i had what felt like a poke from inside which moved across the bottom of my belly by a CM or 2. It completely stopped me in my tracks and I burst into tears 🤣. I've not felt it since though!

Bramblecrumble21 · 03/06/2022 07:42

@roobearbaby I came to say something similar. Not as distinct as you but I woke at 4 and took a while to go back to sleep and felt some flutters and changing pressure on my rectum (sorry tmi). Still just 80% sure as.i work up gassy. As a second baby I've occasionally got these phantom movements, like 3rd trimester movements, a large head slowly moving or a limb pressing out. Then when I put my hand to my belly there's nothing there. Does anyone else have this?

So as I imagine this, I don't really trust myself with believing my smaller movements I feel. (18 weeks on Sunday)

AbbiL0u · 03/06/2022 21:16

@Bramblecrumble21 @roobearbaby had similar a few nights ago, like a poke from inside! But I still question it because I’m worried I make it up in my head, I have felt what I have thought is baby a few times but I think it could be wishful thinking.

We have been with family today and there’s been lots of talk about the baby, and now I feel really worried we will find out something is wrong at our 20 week scan in a few weeks! I’ve had comments I’m smaller than people would expect too (bump wise) which has started to worry me. How’s everyone else feeling about the upcoming scans?

roobearbaby · 03/06/2022 22:46

@abbil0u try and ignore comments about bump size. Everyone is different. I had one friend who didn't have a noticeable bump until 32 weeks! She had a perfectly healthy baby at 8lb!

I'm weirdly not too worried about my 20 week scan. I suspect that will be completely different the closer I get to it (1st July) but I think maybe the odd movement I am getting is helping my anxiety.

I do have a small bump (it is teeny) but the bottom of my tummy is hard and that is giving me some comfort too.

Remember ladies, everyone is different, don't Google stuff and the odds are in our favour ❤️❤️

Kathno4 · 04/06/2022 20:45

18 + 3, 3d/4d scans yesterday ❤️
still feeling awful and hormonal but I’m sure it’s related to the antibody situation; I got my special blood card through the post today… to carry around at all times and make sure we get given the right blood if we need it, last time had 2 antigens this time have 3. Overthinking outcomes are shit. I’m not sleeping. counting down the days I have baby out of my womb and in my arms hopefully as healthy as can be, feel guilty and like my body is a failure 😣
anyone else have antibody issues?
20 week scan on the 16th then there will be a big 7/8 weeks wait til the next one, when they will be every 4 weeks after that all being well ❤️

sarahj878 · 04/06/2022 21:42

Lovely pics @Kathno4 did you find out what you were having? I don’t have any knowledge of antibody issues but have had some scares relating to my placenta so am expecting to need some extra and fairly regular scans throughout. Hope you start to feel better soon. I’m not sure where the second trimester energy boost is for me. Seems to have eluded me so far

Kathno4 · 04/06/2022 21:48

We aren’t finding out this time around 🥰 it’s scary isn’t it!
yeah me neither, nor he probably had 3 half days of energy since the start of this pregnancy, then I do the most, end up exhausted and can’t move for a few days after 🫠 hoping you get the energy burst soon ❤️

SonicHg · 05/06/2022 09:51

@AbbiL0u oh dear, sorry about all the aches and pain. I’ve been fortunate so far and haven’t experienced any of that but I’m sure I’m not that far behind you! xx

sarahj878 · 05/06/2022 10:11

@Kathno4 I'm exactly the same, end up doing too much then am shattered. Feeling really useless around the house and especially now as have been told to be a bit less active than I was! And that wasn’t very due to tiredness. Aw that’s lovely. We didn’t find out with my son and remember I was paranoid we’d find out by accident on the 4d scan lol. Hope you get an energy boost soon too x

teddy2806 · 05/06/2022 11:14

Had my dating scan in the last week and official due date is 29th November 🥳 we don't plan on finding out the gender but happy to let people guess and Google everything possible, I just don't want professional confirmation 😂 anyone any guesses?

Bramblecrumble21 · 05/06/2022 21:11

Very cute teddy. Looks like it's pushing up at the probe with arms and legs, just like mine. It's great to see them move around so much. Just 2 weeks till my abnormality scan. I am now feeling flutters most days.

VolcanicProtectorMan · 06/06/2022 08:10

Anyone got to the other side of the nausea yet? Last time it subsided for me bang on 16w. 16+1 today and I’m feeling ok this morning. Obviously don’t know if it’s going to last though!

Bramblecrumble21 · 06/06/2022 10:41

@VolcanicProtectorMan I'm lucky not to suffer with nausea. Fingers crossed your out the other side. My headaches are similar in timing to last time. however, they continued until I started a mental health medication, some time towards the end of the second trimester which cured them. But, I'm happy to say my mental health is much better. I have an obsectric appointment in a couple of weeks due to previous MH (no other pregnancy risks) I'll mention it. But in good conscience I can't ask to go back on the medication just for headaches. 🤣

sarahj878 · 06/06/2022 11:26

@VolcanicProtectorMan I’m 15+1 and although nausea has mostly gone it’s still surfacing occasionally out of the blue.

louloulas11 · 06/06/2022 11:53

Hi ladies, wondered if I could please join. I am due 19th nov. So just over 16 weeks. This is my second pregnancy and still don't really have much of a bump.. just a bit bloated looking.. I'm also not feeling anything. I don't have my 16w appt until Saturday.. can anyone advise if this is normal? Thanks so much xx

roobearbaby · 06/06/2022 12:02

Welcome @louloulass27. I'm 17 weeks today and I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow so don't think it is that unusual

louloulas11 · 06/06/2022 12:11

@roobearbaby thanks for replying :) I meant the no movement yet and barely any bump?? Xxx

Bramblecrumble21 · 06/06/2022 12:55

Hi lulaluea. Also second pregnancy here. It's all normal, you can read more further back on the thread. I'm 18 weeks yesterday and only felt convincing movements for the past few days. I can feel a bump and have been able to for since about 14/15 weeks but I think I'm in the minority there. I read somewhere 18-20 weeks is often when you feel the first movements. I'm pretty sure I only felt movements after 20 weeks first pregnancy as I had an anterior placenta. This time I wouldn't be surprised if it's to the right or back as I'm feeling flutters middle to left.

Bubbano2 · 06/06/2022 15:54

Hey everyone - I was just wondering if anyone else is having to have a c-section. This is my 2nd pregnancy and for medical reasons I have to have c-section which is fine but I am under a different hospital this time around and I have had one consultant appointment cancelled and one was due for today but got a call last week saying it will be on the phone rather than the face to face which was booked. When someone phoned today they just said antenatal doctor and got a few things wrong, they went to end the call saying I can just be midwife led until I mentioned about getting the date and she said oh yes sorry I will need to book you in at 32 weeks to sign consent forms.

It has left me feeling a bit unsettled that I won't see my consultant until then and discuss a few concerns (I have small lump under the skin of my previous section scar so wanted to show them that etc). Last pregnancy I saw my consultant around 3/4 times.

It's made me think about changing to the other hospital which was offered to me at the beginning - am I overthinking this and hormones making me worry?

tigger2022 · 06/06/2022 16:57

Does anyone else know what they're having yet? I found out I'm having a boy 😊

2in2022 · 06/06/2022 19:32

@Bubbano2 sorry to hear you’ve had a crap experience with the consultants so far this pregnancy.
I am having a section this time round due to a fourth degree year with my first and ongoing complications since. I seen a consultant at 12 weeks when I had my scan and will see her again after my 20 week scan when she said we can book in my section date. She also warned I may need to have growth scans as my first was a low birth weight despite being a week overdue so she said we would meet after those also if I needed them. May be worth mentioning to your midwife at your next appointment?

Bubbano2 · 06/06/2022 20:20

@2in2022 thanks for getting back to me. I have my 16 week midwife appointment on Friday when I'm actually 17 weeks so will definitely be mentioning it. Seems a long wait to 32 weeks until I actually see someone. I'm also going to ask about logistics of changing hospital.

sarahj878 · 06/06/2022 21:02

@Bubbano2 sorry to hear you didn’t have a good experience, that sounds really unsettling. I’m consultant led too and haven’t got my first consultant appt until 20 weeks. It’s also a phone call and says that although I’ve been given a time it may be at any point that morning! I’m really shocked that it isn’t face to face as last time I had several appts throughout. I also don’t think it’s good enough that it could be at any point that morning as I’m not sure what I’m supposed to tell work! Im going to mention it to my midwife when I see her next week I think. I don’t see why they can’t have appts face to face anymore. Midwife and anaesthetist are.

OtiMama · 07/06/2022 06:58

@louloulas11 I'm also due 19th and second baby. No movement yet is normal, I think some people are thinking it's not because others are feeling it. Also bumps show at different rates.

@Bubbano2 sorry things have been cancelled so far for you. I have no c section experience but I would say go with your gut and if things don't feel right with how they are treating you then swap to the other hospital. Definitely speak to your midwife about your concerns too, they are most definitely valid.

@tigger2022 congratulations! We are finding out but got another month to go. I'm getting impatient now lots of people seem to know but will come around quickly.

I'm still feeling a bit sick some dates but I remember last time 17 weeks was my break through to feeling good so hoping next week I will be full of energy haha!!
