@Casper94 it's good that they're referring you. EPU will look after you. How many weeks are you? I'm also having right sided pain and cramps but no one will see me until I'm 6 weeks. My last pregnancy was ectopic so I completely understand how you are feeling and the worry you are facing. Hopefully they can see you soon.

Casper94 · 01/04/2022 10:52

@scoutcat thank you, I'm 6+3 today and praying all is okay, I'm telling myself it's a good sign that I've got none of the other symptoms of ectopic so just hoping all is okay

GabsK92 · 01/04/2022 11:00

Hello mums to be!

Cautiously joining this discussion after having had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks back in December. I am 5+5 today, due 27th November. I'll be doing early scans privately in a couple of weeks for my own comfort of mind. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone, and really hope everyone is doing well and not feeling too nauseous yet! xx

GabsK92 · 01/04/2022 11:03

@Casper94

God is anyone else dealing with extreme hunger? I'm demolishing enough food for about 4/5 people and I'm STILL hungry 😱 I'm overweight as it is I'm getting concerned I'm only 6+1 and piling on the pounds already 😬😅
Haha yep! I have about 5 meals a day, and don't get me started on the sugar cravings... I could demolish a cake a day. Just listen to your body. By 5 weeks your body has already produced over a litre of extra blood, so you need that energy!!
scoutcat · 01/04/2022 11:05

@Casper94 yes no bleeding is a good sign. That was the only symptom I had last time. In the ectopic support group im in, a lot of ladies are convinced they're having another because of cramps on one side but more often than not it's a cyst or just normal stretching and cramps. Im trying so hard not to worry haha

sarahj878 · 01/04/2022 11:07

@Casper94 good luck with your scan. Hope everything is ok, are they fitting you in today?

sarahj878 · 01/04/2022 11:10

@GabsK92 welcome, we are due date twins! I’m feeling really hungry too. Yesterday I felt incredibly nauseous however and everything made me heave. I’ve got an early scan at EPU on Monday then private ones booked at 8 weeks and nearly 10 weeks.

sarahj878 · 01/04/2022 11:11

Can I ask everyone’s thoughts on when to tell nearly 5 year old son he’s going to be a big brother please? It’s almost like he knows because randomly he has started asking questions about siblings and babies. We wanted to get a bit further along and tell him around 10 weeks taking him to a private scan with us but now I’m worrying that might still be too early. I want to tell him before we tell anyone else and I don’t think we can go much past week 10 without telling close friends because of events we will be going to

Tuesdaysgirl · 01/04/2022 12:16

@GreenGreenyGreener me too, dying to tell my DC aged 9 & 6 but obviously need to wait!

My cycle was really irregular too (in fact I think I was perimenopausal) so am not really sure on dates but have come up with 18 Nov. However I feel soooo pregnant. Am really breathless and already uncomfortable lying on my back. Maybe it’s just being old, unfit and on my third but hopefully my dates aren’t too out of whack. Just waiting for a booking in appt after self referral.

Tuesdaysgirl · 01/04/2022 12:18

@sarahj878 I think we will wait until 12 weeks (although I’m not having any earlier scans) because of the risks associated with being a bit older.

I have told other people though. I want support in case anything happens, but obviously it’s different with the kids

bravotango · 01/04/2022 12:24

Hello, I'd like to join! My due date is 23rd Nov. Have been TTC since Autumn 2020 and this is my first BFP so crossing fingers for success! Have had very tender breasts and in the last 5 days have had quite bad nausea, but no sickness. SO excited and just trying to manage anxiety until my early scan which is a week on Sunday.

Tuesdaysgirl · 01/04/2022 12:29

@LunaLisa congratulations! we are in a similar position with a surprise third. It’s taking some getting used to.

I grew up in Kent but now live in Scotland. Used to go out in Maidstone loads Grin

Ladymama12 · 01/04/2022 15:50

Hi ladies, ive been following for a while but only just got round to saying hello!!
Im another mummy joining the club. Im 9 weeks pregnant and an older mummy aged 39. I have a daughter who is 14 so this is a little daunting. Due date is around the 20th Nov ill find out at next scan which isn't too long away. Congratulations to everyone here, isn't it nice to all be in the same boat haha. Ive been feeling awfully sick, moody and my stomach is huge already...
Gabs and caper my best wishes are with you and anyone else who is worrying. Hugs to all

LunaLisa · 01/04/2022 15:52

I'm coming round to it as wasn't apposed to having a 3rd just wasn't sure it would be the right decision. But still doesn't feel real yet.

Ah how lovely up in Scotland. I'm not sure how this little one will fit in but we will adjust some how.

Bramblecrumble21 · 01/04/2022 16:32

@Ladymama12 welcome. My mum had my younger brother at 39. One of us has got the due date calculator wrong because I'm 9 weeks today also, and due the 4th November. My last period was 28th January.

I've started to feel low the past few days. I can link it to a few small things at home and work but feel it more today when my DD is at nursery and I'm at home. (She didn't like it when o collected her at 3 before because she likes having tea there) There was a lot I could have done and I didn't have the energy or the mood so just lay down most of the day. I'm not sick and eating well but...I was depressed in my first pregnancy at the beggining and am hoping it's just blues. I did have some strategies that I could try again, like a mood diary.

LS1983 · 01/04/2022 16:35

@Ladymama12 Hi, I am 39 in July and this is my 3rd. Youngest is 11 so I'm crapping myself doing it all over again as well!! Still doesn't seem real!

SonicHg · 01/04/2022 17:09

How is everyone managing the nausea? 5+6 today and only managed to eat a banana and a packet of crisps. :(

I'm planning to hold off as long as possible telling our two (5 and 3). 9 months is an eternity for us, but almost unimaginable for them!
sarahj878 · 01/04/2022 18:30

I’ve been a bit quiet this afternoon as had a small bleed. I got a scan and thank goodness I saw the heartbeat! Measuring correctly and very relieved. They identified an area of bleeding responsible and said not to worry. I’m an emotional mess tonight but very happy and relieved to have seen the heartbeat.

roobearbaby · 01/04/2022 18:35

@sarahandduckarehigh at least you have managed to eat something. That's the most important thing. Just eat as little and often as you can. Doesn't matter what it is!

scoutcat · 01/04/2022 18:40

So sorry you went through that @sarahj878 but what a relief to know that everything is ok

LS1983 · 01/04/2022 19:25

@sarahj878 glad all ok! What a worry x

sarahj878 · 01/04/2022 19:39

@scoutcat @LS1983 thank you both, yes was huge relief! I can’t stop looking at the picture and smiling Smile

Ladymama12 · 01/04/2022 22:32

@sarahj878 so pleased for you.i can't imagine the relief ur feeling right now.
@Bramblecrumble21 thanks for the welcome and reassurance☺️ hopefully being in this group will help with any blues/hormones or depression. The good news is you got through it before and you have the tools to get through it again. Lots of friends here to support you also. And apologies 1st Nov im due tbc at my scan ☺️
@ls1983 Thanks and well done to you!!!
yes Its bloody scary, i personally worry about not having the energy and like you, it hasn't sunk in yet (dispite my huge belly) overall its starting to feel very exciting.
