On the first thread we had started recording expected due dates which I thought would be good to continue!

I haven't copied and pasted from the last thread as I don't want to accidentally tag anyone who is no longer in the thread as I know there have sadly been some losses.

I know there’s been a few discussions on early reassurance scans but I’m still struggling to understand how early to go. What did others do?

There are 4 clinics nearby that all offer early reassurance scans and all charge the same price, however 2 of them say from 7+ weeks and when I rang advised it best to wait till 8 weeks, while the other 2 say from 6 weeks. Surely they all use the same equipment so can’t understand why it’s varying?

I’m tempted to do a 6 week and an 8 week because the wait is killing me (currently 5+3, and no symptoms) but I’m nervous that if I go at 6 weeks and they can’t pick anything up that I’ll be in panic mode.

@Poppybloom55 Hi, I have never went private however the NHS have offered me reassurance scans at 7-8 weeks previously. I did asked for a 6 week scan but they said no and the reason I was given was that it would be too early to see a heartbeat so we don’t want to send you home worrying there’s no heartbeat x
