@Juno231 it does seem that even the v2 is not that easy to fold (or is certainly one of the bigger ones). But I'd need to see it done and to lift it. I don't mind IKEA empty. The problem is the people! Also the annoying children. So I did again sit wondering what on earth we've set ourselves up for. 🙈

@Juno231 that's a good point on when the babies for the uppa, one was 5 years ago the other 2. They are fab pictures glad you had a great time & MIL pleased & engaged too that's lovely ☺️ oh good yeah can't diss ikea around you 😂

@paintfairy you need to KEEP asking them, fold & unfold every one. That's what the assistants are there for

@paintfairy IKEA on a weekend is stressful! I know that retail park you mention it can be bloody manic, we have a new IKEA slightly closer to us now. We have the ocarro which we'll be using again. DH chose it, I like it but it's unnecessarily heavy so with a high backed boot was a bit of a pain and it's a bit wider than standard too so I was always getting the back wheels stuck on stuff 🤦🏼‍♀️ whatever you buy they'll be something you don't like about it I'm sure

@larrythelizard did you manage to get through the batch cooking without being sick? 🤞🏼

@Juno231 fab your MIL was thrilled 🥰 it's nice that she was a midwife. She might be helpful in certain scenarios if you have a good relationship with her? My MIL is still buying us shit, she asks if we need X,Y,Z ie nappies, toiletries, talc 🤦🏼‍♀️ nail clippers etc we say no thank-you - then she buys it anyway.

Midwife appointment today (25 weeks) taking DD with me. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to but the midwife base is at the local sports centre and I usually take her swimming on a Monday so makes sense. My friend gave me this swinging chair thing and she's had her doll in it all weekend and been organising babies room which half the time I think is so so lovely that she's excited then think shittttt have we exposed her to too much too soon in case something goes wrong. Rational thinking, rational thinking

@Minster2012 the vista v2 came out in 2020. So they might have had either? And yeah I know that's what they are there for but being we aren't buying i felt annoying asking them. 🤣 I will though next time. @bez91 yes that was my only concern with the ocarro, its heavy. I'm going to go on with my tape measure next time too. 🤭 The wheel widths matter. And yes you probably do know the ikea I'm taking about as I can't think of any more near me. Awful place. But then they do this with all retail parks- they start out OK but they keep adding shops with only 1 car park entrance (and a car park not big enough) and it becomes insane. We've got a retail park down the road they keep adding to and that's already crazy too. You just can't get in and out. I only go at night. And my MIL still doesn't know. 🤣 I wonder when he'll actually tell her?

More crazy dreams. I did at least get more sleep last night but I'm starting to dread going to bed? I dreamt that the ivf worked but a few weeks in the baby died. The ivf man said it was my fault for having my seat belt in the wrong place and I did it. He said it should be 'here' and not 'here' whilst pointing. But it didn't look any different and I was still confused where it should be. I also felt i never knew anyway. So I was really worried it would happen again and we only had one more go. I didn't even bleed before they put the next one in and I was then thinking- hang on, will this work? I told a friend about my ivf who accidentally told my mum and then she told other family in the (busy) post office and everyone heard! Aaarrrgghhh.
And I also think (this sounds miserable) that part of why I want to know what the baby is, is because if anything bad happens I'll never have known what it was? 😭

@paintfairy how was your dreams last night? Once again mine was horrible my mum fell through a roof and hit her head on the floor, it’s making me dread going to sleep now 🥺😩 it’s your choice if/when you want people to know that’s the beauty of it although the later things progress little bumps may not stay little forever 🙈🙈 I’ve never been a huge fan of ikea I don’t like the way the layout is but I do like their wardrobes

I think the uppa baby vista is quite bulky @paintfairy (lots of friends have it) but known for being pretty robust and with an excellent basket underneath. We've got the bugaboo fox (I think) and it's big when folded, especially with the bassinet on it. It filled the boot of DH's 1 series which he had when DS was born. When DS got bigger we bought a more compact one for the car. I think the oyster is more compact folded? Also some of the cosattos? Also I wouldn't worry about them being 'difficult' to fold - they all are but then you become the ninja of whichever one you choose and it's easy (but all other prams are impossible to manoeuvre still). Also I think you can probably google which pram fits in your car boot and see what comes up?

Just about @bez91 I haven't been actually sick yet just hardcore nausea. Yes, rational thinking. Chances of things going wrong are diminishing all the time. And also this is deffo your time for number 2. We can provide the rational thinking at any point, just shout.

Shit loads of work to do today, skipped the gym this morning as I didn't sleep that well and could then have a lie in as it turns out I literally can't function when tired at the moment!

Hello, just having a lazy catch up having put TSD down in his cot again for his morning nap 🥳🙌🏻💪🏻 so actually having my breakfast in peace!!! H is WFH which is a slight fly in the ointment because I want the house to myself haha but I will cope 😂

Been AWOL all weekend because I had a friend down to stay. It was really nice and TSD was vaguely cooperative despite being full of cold so that was a relief. He's still up a fair bit at night but my cheapo midnight secret book purchase finally arrived so once the cold is gone we are going for it!

On the other hand, TSD cried hysterically last night because he did a big burp and scared himself 😂 then I woke him up changing his nappy at 3am because I was convinced he'd pooed (lol no just big farts) so that meant we were all aboard the banter bus for an hour or so. Genuinely considered going into the spare bed and coming back in an hour to see if he'd finished chatting 😂🙈 so much wind all round and we are very topical with all the storms, just feeling the impact inside rather than out 😂

Finally, I would just like to say that I ❤️ IKEA but please remember that I live in the arse end of nowhere and so it is always a novelty and a very exciting day out. Plus the meatballs are excellent.

@Juno231 - So apparently they have caught it on Sunday from across a football pitch... but said on Wednesday that the nephews popped in on Monday or Tuesday - but now they have tested positive it's from a football pitch and they've followed all the rules blah blah blah

@paintfairy @Minster2012 I haven't had really much of anything for the last few weeks either! The cramps aren't like period cramps they're just there like a little pulling, probably had them every other day last week once or twice for about 15 seconds, but haven't had them since yesterday morning! I'm not worrying about it, if I was in pain and they were constant and if I was spotting then obviously would be different!

@Ltay2 that's really good to know because a few days ago was around when my period would've been I think!!

@larrythelizard teeniest bump ever but it's there🥰 hahahaha love a reassurance scan!! I think cramps thst don't hurt and with no blood can be pretty normal then hearing from you all! Brownie points for DH on the bacon butty!!

@paintfairy oh god that IKEA trip sounds stressful!! I'm not a fan of IKEA at the best of times let alone at the weekend!! And completely grt you with the feeling a fraud, I still feel a bit weird talking so openly about it, like it should still be a secret! Don't get me wrong I'm happy people know but it's like I shouldn't be talking about it😂 your dreams sound crazy!!

@kaylsd wow that's so good thst they accepted that!! Every house we've offered on we've offered way over asking price and still been out bid, it's crazy at the minute but we think surely this house will be reduced soon as it's been on since November so when it's reduced maybe then we'll go in with a cheeky offer! I'm going to ring the hospital today and see if they can shed some light on the appointment! Aren't our bodies funny things, keeping us on our toes clearly!! @bez91 well that definitely explains it!! OH always said that when I get pregnant he wouldn't be able to have sex (vaginally🙄) because it freaked him out "having his penis so close to the baby" honestly😂😂😂 but so far it hasn't stopped him, but poor man, my hair seems to grow back so so fast, i can't keep up with it😂😂

Well I decided enough was enough of me making teas for myself, and I've ordered healthy meal preps for my teas instead😂 I got a variety and they're ones OH used to get and they're so so good, I'm excited to get home and have my tea!! Going to ring the hospital today and hopefully get more clarity on this mystery appointment! I'm feeling a bit off today, just a bit out of sorts and not with it! Hopefully a nice walk will sort me out!!

@paintfairy sorry to hear about the funky dreams, it's definitely a hormonal thing. I've also been having some crazy dreams lately, it's so annoying because it definitely doesn't make you feel rested does it! we went for the bugaboo fox (although we don't have a car so didn't factor in boot storage). Got it in the January sales for 25% off and have quite a few friends with the same model who all love it.

@Minster2012 hope this week is less mad for you!

having a bit of a wobble this week. Had been feeling the baby move quite a bit last week and then in the past few days it's changed and I feel like I haven't been able to feel them as much. I know it's still early days (22 weeks) and that I have an anterior placenta so that cushions the movements as well, so the most likely scenario is that bubs has moved to a position that I can't feel as much but MY GOD I've put myself in a state about it. Just so scared of something happening to this baby.

Oh @bez91 it's so hard isn't it! I think that about DS knowing & being so excited but then I think well if anything happens then he'll understand why we would be upset etc so I don't think it's a bad thing. I had that appointment on Friday was lovely to hear the heartbeat again 🥰

@paintfairy I agree with the "If anything happened id like to know what it was" but I think you would find out anyway

@Kate105 we live about 1.5 hours away from an ikea too but still think it's a nightmare. As is burping & scaring yourself. Maybe I do that in the night?? Come on sleep genius & you e got it sorted with naps in the cot. See this is why I say you need a monitor before 6 months & ppl say "no cos you should always be in the room with them when they are sleeping", I personally think it's healthy to try get them to nap elsewhere as a lead into self settling. But only my opinion.

@whatwonder I was like that at exactly the same stage except my placenta is posterior so that made me more worried. I phoned the midwife & they got me in to see them & hear heartbeat 💓 I'd say contact them for reassurance

Not quite a slow week here & hampered by the fact I have no car today. (DS gone off with my parents just now). We went to drive to my parents yesterday for tea & got to the end of the driveway when we realised I had a puncture. Well actually a full on flat as a pancake tyre. So my car now abandoned across the road from our drive at the side of a country road on a jack & DH dropped it in to get a new turn which my dad is picking up shortly & will put on this afternoon. So I can't go anywhere.

I gave my whooping cough vacc tomorrow & X's toddler vaccs so we might go somewhere nice after that

Oh and is it a new MAFS tonight??????

@larrythelizard @whatwonder I think I'm swaying to the fox at the moment. The issue i have is- i need something that will bounce over the horse field, as well as go round the shops. And many of them aren't robust enough. So that narrows down our choices anyway (maybe a good thing). Later i might get a 3 wheel more rugged one if I feel we need it, but to start with i still need something functional, but trying to keep it user friendly ish.

I've been looking at gender scans. Seems to be 3 options around here- meet your miracle, window to the womb and ultrasound direct. But reading the reviews I can't decide! And my other concern is if they are wrong?! Which it seems happens..... 🤦‍♀️🤣 So even if I find out, I'll just be worrying its wrong anyway. 🙄

Oh the uncle (who has no morals) also isolated for 10 days and took a PCR before christmas to hold my LO - BS he had symptoms of covid. 🤥🤥🤥

It's a fact that she can't carry girls - but in her day (as I am told every single day) they had a 12 week scan and a 20 week scan and sent on their way... 🤥🤥🤥

@paintfairy if you have a window to the womb near you then there's often groupon or wowcher deals for them. My cousin's wife had a MC at 16 weeks & she went into hospital & they did some testing. But I'd say a gender scan would be nicer! Obviously you could wait til the 20 week nhs one
