@minster2012 @blackcurrantqueen your meet up on IG looked like it went really well 😁
Aww @lexber the 2 cots make it all so real, I actually felt jealous for a minute that there'll be two wee squishies in there soon for you to love......then I remembered how tired and uncomfortable I am carrying just the one so I'll leave you to your two 😂
@larrythelizard hope it remains mild for you 🤞 One of my work colleagues has just tested positive now too (along with the others) but she's birthing partner for her daughter who's due in about 2 weeks (partners working away), I feel so sorry for her really hoping her daughter doesn't come early and that she gets negative tests very soon, what a worry for them both!
Great deal on the pram bundle @juno231!
@minster2012 I feel your pain on the christening, I've got that wedding next weekend and still have nothing to wear either and zero motivation to get something as every dress I've ordered so far I've sent back as I feel like a hefalump in it 😫
@paintfairy I'd get 10 babygrows and 10 vests in newborn size it saves you having to constantly put a washing on if you've got spares the washing can wait for longer. If you're worried about size just buy 2 packs of 5 and only open and wash one pack before baby's born then once you see the size you can either open the other pack or return it for the bigger size as need be. And get one pack of 0-3 incase it's a big baby to start with and you can buy more from there if you're not wanting to buy too much initially. (Tho I need to feel organised so I have her wardrobe ready till 6 months 😂🙈 but a lot of that was 2nd hand clothing bundles.)
Muslins you can never have too many they're great for a multitude of messes, I totally overestimated them before DS was born but quickly grew to love them and bought tonnes so there was one to hand everywhere!
Bibs as others have said not too important in the early days if you have muslins to hand.
Sleeping bags, I usually have 3 in each tog so if ones in the wash I have one for them to use and a spare if there's been a nappy accident.
Blankets I got a tonne as gifts for DS but realistically only used around 3 of them, one for the pram, one to throw over during naps if he fell asleep before getting in the sleeping bag and a spare for the wash.
Bras - zero idea that's what I'd like to know, going to get 2 nursing bras to start with incase my boobs explode in size once I bf, but once they settle on a size I'll probably have 3 or 4 to account for washes.
@bez91 good luck with the growth scan today, hope baby and the fluid are both behaving.
Good luck with your scan too today @lexber
@becarefuloutthere I was listening to an audio book on breast feeding and they were talking about babies losing weight to start with and said its far more common in breast fed babies but that's why the colostrum is so high fat at the start to account for the weight loss so not to worry too much about it they soon catch back up again.
Sorry to hear about the BFN @franklydear 😔
Having a really shitty morning, was so stressed out at driving to the hospital myself (DH usually does it as I hate driving and parking at the hospital is a nightmare), that I realised I couldn't remember the way, pulled over to turn on sat nav wasn't paying attention properly and totally fucked my alloy 🙈 Went for the glucose test (tired, crabbit, hungry from fasting given I usually have a cereal bar or banana at 3am to stop me feeling sick followed by cereal at 6am but haven't been allowed them). I can't stand any flavoured water it makes me gag so I definitely wasn't looking forward to having the glucose drink but was assured it was only small. I've taken a picture beside my water bottle........its not fucking small by any means!!!! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 11am then I can finally eat so may be feeling a little less tetchy and hangry by then 😂
