@Vil10 the mystery appointment isn't for your other blood test etc is it? Or is that already booked in? I've no idea but they did this to me. 🤣 I think they like to keep it fun for you.
@bez91 your nana! 🤣 I've got no grandparents left now, but I can only imagine how fun that would be. Old people are funny. I do feel a little sad my dad will never know about the baby though, the grandparents I can cope with. And yeah the vibrating! God, its awful if you've been on something a few days. A boat too even! When you walk you still feel like you are moving! And I can't tell anyone! Because DH still hasn't told his bloody family! But I likely would drop it in. There will be no big announcements over here, I'm just not that kind of person. No fb announcements either. People will just see me with a 2 year old at some point and wonder who's kid it is. 🤣

I'm not sleeping well. I keep having bad dreams. I think I'm anxious about everything and there's ages to go yet! God, it's going to be a long 5.5 months.......

@Ltay2 look at him! Nearly a year oh my god!! That's really good on the milk ladddr, keep going, when he's not trying to escape! X has basically grown out of his allergies (dust, eggs, oats, fish) now so there's hope!

Team shit mum all the way @feliznavidad2 & @larrythelizard, however if you see my Insta we've had a nice afternoon gatecrashing DHs beating day after lunch. This was HOWEVER, after he had wreaked havoc in the house (storm Malik still here this morning), snipped a hole in his trousers with scissors AND then when about to get dressed to go out he just lay on our bed & weed. Through our sheet, our mattress protector and MY pregnancy pillow. So yeah he's fully capable of every single wee during the day taking himself to the toilet @bez91, he just bloody didn't. Said "oops"
That's it we were def driving to see daddy to get him a much needed snooze 💤 45 mins later he was a very chirpy toddler again & was happily shouting the pheasants out of their hiding places & charming all the ppl
All of us walked miles & I just want to sleep.
However I'm now in a bath with a toddler.

Shouting for daddy saying it's DEFINITELY bedtime ffs

@Minster2012 Oh that's so good, definitely a weight off not having to deal with all the allergies! Even if he can manage cheese by the time of our wedding in November I will be less nervous about him potentially swiping some food off someone's plate or finding something on the floor, although just me overthinking!

No @Ltay2 make sure ppl on your table know he's allergic to things so no feeding the child. I've seen it happen giving bits of stuff & I had to be no thanks don't give him stuff please! Yeah we now don't worry about it, he just has one tiny patch of skin that flares slightly it's a total revelation 🥳

Thanks everyone. Still was on the oxytocin drip to make contractions start and they were adamant about treating me as GBS positive as I had it in DS pregnancy so we're in for 24 hours obs but she's great and being such a little poppet and is so alert when she's awake 💗

@Crazydoglady123 congratulations she is just gorgeous and what a lovely, in control birth story that sounds like! 🥰

My Gran is still hanging on, just. Poor woman there literally is nothing too her she's all skin n bones now, she looks worse than my Nana did in her final stages of cancer, but determinedly she's still fighting. She doesn't even have the strength to sit up or hold a cup of water anymore but she uses all her strength to lift her hand to place it on my bump and whisper that she wants to meet my girl. She's been so excited about this pregnancy that I think that's what's making her body try to hang on so much that she doesn't want to go until the baby is born, pity there's still a while to go yet 😢.

A group of my friends from back home are coming up to go out for afternoon tea today, it's the last thing I feel like doing but as they're doing a 3hour round trip just to see me I'd better go! They want to go out before I end up stuck in hospital, they have no faith in me staying out of hospital either, think I'm the only one that's determined I'm not landing up in there this time, DH, my friends and the doctors have all written me off already, I just need to prove them wrong 😂

@bez91 I think she will but she'll definitely have forgotten by tomorrow who's pregnant, I'm going to get her a scan pic and make a note on the back who's pregnant etc so she can use that! Aww that's lovely bless her😂 I wish I'd have video'd my nana's reaction, I told her on Christmas Day but she had covid so it was a doorstop visit and I told her to grab her phone because I needed to send her something about the dogs (I'm always sending her pics and videos of the dogs) I sent her the video of the baby and the heartbeat from my early scan and she thought the dog had got another bitch pregnant🤣🤣🤣 absolute bonus points for OH!!! Do you not feel like you're more sensitive down there during sex since being pregnant? As soon as OH puts it in I'm like😳 and chocolates in the morning!! Absolute winner!!

@Minster2012 it's the first morning I've actually thought "does that look like a bump" usually there's nothing to see in the morning and I'm just a little bit bloated at night😂 there's a number at the top of the letter, I might ring on Monday and see what it's for! I'm just confused as they said the anaesthetic app would be further down the line so it's worrying me a little at what this app could be for! Sounds like you had a right morning!! Good idea on getting him out, however not so good on you being so tired now!! You definitely deserve a rest day today right?? OH is on a shoot today, last one, and it's only his second one, he's so excited bless him! We stud our dog out to a mans bitch a few months ago and he was lovely and with our dog being a working dog (well worked before we saved him from being shot) he invited OH and Cassius to go with them, he went last weekend and couldn't stop talking about it when he came home and said seeing Cassio doing his thing was unreal to see!!

@DKDK123 ohh your poor gran!! I just tested up at her touching your bump😢 grandparents really are the sweetest souls!! I hope she's comfortable and you seeing her will be making her feel so much better!! Sending you hugs!! The afternoon tea, even though you really don't feel like going, it might distract you for a while! Enjoy yourself!

Has anyone got cramps around 13/14 weeks? This last week I feel like I've had really light mild cramps, not painful I'm just aware that they're there, guessing it's just things pulling and stretching?

@DKDK123 oh how awful. That's really sad. You seem so near the end to me, but in other ways you are so far! Bless her. It's a long time for her to hang on.
@Vil10 I don't get too much of anything. Apart from after the scans (that did worry me). I get odd twinges and pulls but I wouldn't describe them as cramps. Not like AF ones or anything. But I think everyone is different. We dtd last night and I'm not extra sensitive, quite the opposite. 🙄🤣

@Vil10 I had a few cramps around 12 weeks and even had a tiny bit of bleeding (sorry if this is tw) although was literally a speck. I was told that around what would have been your period times (4,8,12,16 weeks etc) you could get some cramps although obviously if any blood then to always get checked. Of course everything was fine

I still get cramps @Vil10 I mentioned them to the midwife yesterday & she said if they are constant then let them know but if they go off then it's ok

I feel a different human today!! That's what sleep does 😂

That sounds tough @DKDK123, really tough. How lovely of your friends to come and see you - I really hope you prove them wrong!

That was a cute hint of a bump @Vil10! I'm a bit crampy off and on fairly constantly but try and tell myself that the pterodactyl doubles in size every couple of weeks so no wonder it all feels a bit weird (obv sometimes I completely freak out and book reassurance scans 😬)

DH winning points this morning, he's making me a bacon sandwich - I feel sick so can't face the thought of smelling it at all but I'd like to eat it - he's fired up the gas BBQ as it's quite nice outside!

@Minster2012 I wonder how constant constant is? 🤣 But I had it for literally 3 days after the last scan. And I did start to worry. Nothing since. Asked the bits I get don't last long at all. @Ltay2 I didn't know that about the period thing. My mum actually had periods with us though for the first 4 months!

I had some terrible dreams last night. I'm not sleeping well. But I did also dream we went for a gender scan! And i thought I saw what it was and was sure. But then she wrote down something else and I was so happy I cried. 🤣 This is not going to end well. 🤭 I can't actually decide if we should find out or not
Today we are going to IKEA. Nearby is a big mamas and papas. So we are going to have a nosy. Somehow I feel like a fraud still, so I won't buy anything. 😆 But it'll be good to see things and DH get a sense of the minefield that is to come!

@paintfairy the nightmares are awful aren’t they :( I hope they don’t have any meaning behind them! Yesterdays I had my mums boyfriend kidnapped her 🤣 and yesterday I was at my brothers funeral 👀 I hope they deffo don’t have any meaning! I feel like I need to go legging shopping for a comfy life!
@vil10 I hope the right house comes up for you! We ended up putting a cheeky offer in our house for 30K less as it was on the market over a year and they accepted it so you never know! Can you ring anyone about the appointment to understand it a little bit more? Don’t worry about the cramps hun I get them on n off, my new thing I’ve noticed I get random cramps what feels like in my hip area for like 2-3 seconds then goes 🧐
@larrythelizard five guys is nice if you have one of those near by? I don’t know any posh burger places really 🙈
@paintfairy well done for hiding your little bump and thank goodness for boobs being the focal point I can imagine you doing the vogue poses in order to try distract attention from the tummy 🤣

Finally a day off work, I feel like I’ve lived there last 2 week, I’ve been a tinker and booked a scan for tomorrow for 12 week just on the principle so we can tell family as the only people who know are my MN ladies, my mum & his mum and dad and my best friend that’s it 🙈 also it’s only 40 pound so I can’t resist, que the scan-anxiety to start tomorrow morning 🤣🤣🤣 my best friends coming over for a coffee today and making a roast dinner, have the best Sunday :)

Does DH want to find out @paintfairy? I have been having crazy dreams too but none really about being pregnant, I genuinely am still struggling to remember I'm having a baby this year...particularly now as I start to feel better some of the time 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yay @kaylsd that's exciting! I'm in on weds and mainly trying not to think about it. There's a couple of youngish lads that have taken over a few nearby pubs and stuff, one does pizza which is amazing (they had no tables there) and one mainly does burgers. It was very good but not the same as a MacDonalds! DS refused to eat anything other than chips

@paintfairy ahh I still have my grandparents that live away but they're in really bad health, I think it's a different dynamic anyway with great-grandparents. DHs nan is emigrating back to the UK from Australia in a couple of weeks, she's so lovely and never met DD whose 4 so that will be nice. I like the idea of just being seen with a two year old and everyone is like wtf 🤣

@Minster2012 yes actually wearing the child out sounds detrimental to you too! The braxton hicks are weird i never had them with DD. Hope you have a chilled one today planned? Let DH takeover

@larrythelizard originally I said we wouldn't find out and he was happy with that. But I did ask earlier. He said he doesn't know. I was like- how hard is it? He said well he doesn't really mind either way, he's more concerned whether it's healthy. And i feel normal too so I keep forgetting as well! 🙄
@kaylsd yeah it's crap! One of my dreams was that they were trying to give me sedative in a hospital and it just wouldn't work. And another was I saw a dr/nurse trying to kill another nurse by injecting her with something. And he saw me. So then he came after me! I was running around the hospital trying not to get murdered. And I'm 15 weeks and still no one knows bar my mum, stepdad and brother and my best friend! Plus someone else i know that did ivf. Awkward. 🤣

So- we went to IKEA. Terrible experience. We got there for opening so it started out OK. Somehow we were in there an hour and a half though (only went to look at wardrobes). So at a point it suddenly became manic and there were noisy kids and people everywhere. I hate the bloody place. The car park by the time we came out was insane so we had to walk to the other shops i wanted to go to (its quite a big retail park) where as usually I would have been lazy and driven. 🤭 Some idiot also parked behind us waiting for i don't know what, and we couldn't get out, when we did come to leave. 🤬
But we went to mama's and papa's. That was fairly ok as not busy. We investigated prams (in there it was pretty much between the occarro, bugababy fox and uppababy vista) and a lady showed us how the fox worked. They are so alien to me. 🤣 I showed DH car seats. He was mostly having a breakdown about cost. 🙄😆 And also looked at the furniture stuff. So it's given us some idea. There is quite a big pram shop we can drive to, so we'll probably try there one day too. I was still feeling like a fraud. 🧐

I've not been on all weekend as had my friend down from Scotland for my baby shower so it's been a busy weekend, with not a lot of sleep but enjoyable all the same. Check out my cake...think I'll do a post on insta in a bit with a few more snaps. Hope you're all well 😘

Not sure IKEA is ever anything other than a terrible experience at the weekend @paintfairy?! Sounds good if you have a big pram place nearby, I think it's useful to see them one after each other. Also I agree with @Minster2012 I think you so want to find out! Maybe it'll feel more real if you do?

MIL/fIL have now have covid. They were exposed "last Sunday" (she's lying 🤥) so Monday/Tuesday. Nephews ++ on Wednesday.

I am furious.

MIL/FIL we're over here Tuesday. Nephew came over (uninvited) Sunday. Uninvited due to covid risk of school.

With a medically complex 33 weeker and being 🤰🏻 - I am struggling to peel myself off the celling with rage at the disrespect/lack of precaution and lax'ness!

@paintfairy also gonna say IKEA is my hell. So that would put me in a rage anyway. How often would you fold the pram? Did you decide not a lot? Only reason I say that is 2 ppl I know have the uppa baby vista & they hated it. They said it was big & bulky & awkward to put up/down & in and out of the car. If you had to lift it into a high back truck it might not be great but I'd ask to actually put in my car & see. I think you want to find out the sex & think of your baby more as a person

@larrythelizard @Minster2012 IKEA is literally hell on earth. I hate going to any shop with people. I thought we would be out quicker than we were and therefore avoid people! Fail. And yeah i think I do want to know what the baby is! As for the pushchairs I've done some reading and did see the vista seems to come out as the least easy to fold and also its not as small once folded. Literally I go everywhere in the car so it is a factor. I'm used to lumping stuff about so I'm not exactly fussed but at the same time there's no point in making life more difficult for yourself. We only saw the bugaboo fox folded (didn't want to keep asking people and I couldn't work out how to do them 🤣). We've got plenty of time to mull it over, so I'll go to the other shop at some point. Maybe John Lewis too?
@SWAttempting Yep, it is. My brother has covid and my mum phoned me the other day to say she wouldn't come down for a week, just in case. Because she is worried about me.

@Minster2012 when did your friends have their babies? I'm only asking as the uppababy V2 is only from 2020 I think, and rates really highly on foldability in reviews. So I'd guess they've improved that part? Worth taking into consideration @paintfairy

@minster2012 we told MIL on Friday and she was so so thrilled. She used to be a midwife at guy's/Tommy's back in the day so she was very interested to hear what hospital I'm with and about my continued care etc. She's already asked more questions than both my parents combined!
