Weekend away with DH's family. Shattered now but home and catching up on you all...!

Timing of the Mat1b about the same for me @kaylsd but I'd keep an eye on it and make sure you chase if need be. I was prob around 22-24 weeks feeling movements with DS because I didn't really know what to expect. Have felt a few already this time but know what I'm expecting. Not frequent or anything though.

It always seems to be one step forward two steps back @feliznavidad2...we're back to bribing poos on the toilet instead of withholding 😬

Lush spa day @Minster2012. I'm planning on asking my similarly pregnant friend if she fancies it at a later date, not seen much of her recently though.

@DKDK123 @Juno231 that sort of family childbirth is my worst nightmare, my parents thought me/DH would be telling them when I went into labour last night. Erm definitely not! Won't be telling them if I do end up choosing ELCS this time!!

Yay for scan @Juno231 even if little miss not performing as she should!

At the moment I'm enjoying having an electric car and being on a fixed tariff until the autumn but sure that will change in the winter..!

yes Sunday night & tonight here at my friends then we are heading 35 mins to a SUPER exciting play date with someone you might recognise from here as we always laugh we face "terrible toddler Tuesdays" eh @blackcurrantqueen why not do it together?!

@larrythelizard def do the spa/massage I've fit another one on Easter Saturday a spa day with my friend & already looking forward to that. I've got a hybrid car so doomed on both fronts of the petrol & our electric bill skyrocketing 😣

@Kate105 no i did actually warn DH that it'll be longer than he thinks going without for, as it isn't just the pregnancy! After will likely be even worse than now!
@Lexber swollen lady area? Not good. I'm amazed your tattoo is still looking OK though!
@bez91 we tried from behind last time and it hurt my hips. Couldn't stay there for long. Same applies on top. Useless.

@larrythelizard I'm glad I don't have an electric car but diesel isn't much better! Its all part of the ploy to stop us driving......

I'm not happy any more. I had maybe 9 good weeks. But now the wind is back. The heartburn is back. I've fallen out with my pregnancy pillow because it makes me too hot! God knows how it'll be in bloody summer. Aarrrghhh. Everything is a million quid. I also thought i didn't have to see the consultant again (last I saw her she said I'll have follow up phone calls after the extra scans) but she called today and is on about me going in a few weeks and having a face to face appointment. 😫 I don't like her, she's scary.

@paintfairy I'd love to say all the pregnancy aches and pains get better but unfortunately you get to go through a nice spell for a few weeks in 2nd trimester then bang not only do they come back but the list just keeps piling on 🙈 you do get a baby at the end of it tho so focus on that good part 😂 I'm so glad I get to WFH now as 3rd trimester fun this time round has been a pattern of constipation followed by a few days of the complete opposite and not being able to venture far from the loo. And going through packets of Rennies at an alarming rate with the heartburn 😣 But then every now and then I take a peek at the other bus and remember when we were all on there going through disappointment and heartbreak every month and it puts all the aches and pains back into perspective. 💕
Take DH with you to the scary consultant appointments. Hopefully you don't need to see her too many times.

I deffo plan on taking DH to the consultant appt @paintfairy in case two sets of ears are better than one. You might feel better in a week or so too, it's a constant rollercoaster!

This morning the tumble dryer is on the blink, the last wash the dishwasher did didn't use the tablet so isn't clean, one of the blinds needs fixing and the hot water tap is also not working. It's the most Monday version of Tuesday ever!

@paintfairy hopefully it's a one off blip and everything will settle back down again! I suffer bad at the moment with gas cramps just feel like I need a balloon sometimes to pop my tummy and let it out that way! Sending hugs ❤️

Pregnancy is hard!! Every day is different and yes I can get harder as you get bigger but there are still good and bad days. Take care of yourself mentally and physically on the bad days. I completely understand how you feel! Yesterday was a bad one for me - the pain was unbearable and I spent half the day in tears! I was in office and managed to hide it, but I think they could see I wasn't comfy and really struggling (I cried in the toilets so no one saw) and when I got home I shut my front door and broke down completely! 2 hours in the bath and then into bed and shit sleep BUT I've listened to my body today and I'm wfh, on the sofa, crap tv, PJs and costa hot choc delivery! Today isn't as bad a day..

@DKDK123 so glad everything went well, my next scan is Thursday and I have 2 very active babies this morning, one even tried pushing my laptop away 🤣🤣

If anyone is struggling with heartburn please go see the dr, i had it so bad at 18+ weeks and have been on medication since and hardly have any issues now (unless I forget my tablet) it's definitely made me more comfortable and day to day easier xx

DLA forms are the worst @Franklydear 😬 I need to redo my youngests around Sept and dreading it - because obviously autism goes away 🙄 it's frustrating as we work so hard to help them be able to do things and are constantly teaching them so they can be a better version of themselves tomorrow yet if we do too good a job they will be penalised as deemed "capable and don't require support" when they do but we have just worked so hard to teach them it comes across that way. Fingers crossed you get it sent and back asap xx

@Lexber thank you, nobody ever understands unless you have to do it yourself , I just wrote 14 pages and ticked 400 boxes of everything that is ‘wrong’ with my wonderful child, I stressed at least 40 times that he is doing well with all the support he has, please don’t take it from us, it’s not much to start with, all done, signed and ready to send, his current claim doesn’t run out until may so hopefully on time.

Cd 26 and getting antsy, last two cycles 25, but not too hopeful yet.

It's so difficult @Franklydear and I hope they listen to you and understand.
I remember filling it out the first time and I sat back afterwards and was like "wow do I really do that much for her" it's just normal for us as it's life but when you break it down to what they need to tell them everything and the help/support we give them!

Hmm interesting @Lexber how bad was your heartburn? Mine is relatively constant but mild unless I eat something acidic/spicy/too sweet. I wonder if it's not bad enough to get meds?

So frustrating @Franklydear to write all that's 'bad' about your wonderful boy so he gets help he deserves. I hate this country sometimes. Saying nothing about CD26

@larrythelizard Mine was constant too and up and down with how bad it was but the best thing I did was call the dr as it was making me miserable! The minute I ate anything with too much flavour/spice of the minimal proportions I was chewing on rennies! Don't suffer in silence!
I've not taken my tablet yet this morning and can feel it coming on now - I've just ate pineapple 🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

I think I've hit the nesting phase... I just want to buy baby things, organise baby things and clean... 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ 31 weeks tomorrow

Thanks @Lexber I'll pop an e-consult into the dr when they're open again tomorrow. What meds are they out of interest? Would be amazing to eat flavour again!

@larrythelizard omeprozole seems to be the common one and has worked wonders on me!!

I've just had a text off my neighbour asking if I can do her a favour - and taste some cake 🎂 she is a baker and is experimenting changing recipes slightly and trying new ones. In as a good neighbour I obliged and she just dropped of a slice of cherry bakewell cake and a slice of chocolate orange cake for me to sample and give her feedback on 🤰🥳 it's the same beautiful woman who made me a cake when I was craving sponge cake and dropped it in to me a few months back!

@larrythelizard your Monday version of Tuesday does suck, hopefully it gets better as the day goes on.

@lexber I might see what the doc has to offer for heartburn, I didnt bother as I had it bad with DS and all the doc would give is a liquid which made me gag, they wouldn't give tablets. Hopefully times have changed since then 🤞

@franklydear @lexber I really feel for you on the DLA forms. I hate helping parents with transition to adult services forms or their DLA as you spend the whole time prior to that celebrating all their kids achievements and how far they've come then it comes to those forms and the only way they get any help is if you focus on all the negatives and things their child can't do. It must be so hard for a parent to have to hear and focus on all the negatives, it's such a backwards system. 😣

I'm so glad I got made to WFH when I did ad covid seems to be on the rise again, loads in my workplace have came down with it this week and DSs nursery is shut this week as there's too many staff off with covid too. Going to start being more mindful of where we're going and who we're mixing with again if it's on the rise in my town at the minute, things are surprisingly going well with this pregnancy so far that the last thing I want is covid coming along and funking everything up!

Phew catching up after a crazy busy but good day making MN to real life as @blackcurrantqueen & I had an amazing meet up /play date for hours & hours which was soooo good 😊 then the 3 hours home 🏡

Soooo @paintfairy def agree with the others take DH if you don't like seeing the consultant but honestly it's good they are keeping a close eye I always think it's better (but then again I'm much more faulty!) it was the same for us being ivf we had the extra apps. I'm sorry you are feeling crappy, it should get a bit better in the middle 🤞🏻

@larrythelizard did your Tuesday Monday get better?!!! God I'm so fortunate with my food throughout this taking all flavour out would be horrible def get some meds

@DKDK123 eeeek I'm so glad you got to wfh when you did then, our area is still nicely stable & we have been so lucky with DS's preschool & school they've both had no cases since Xmas 🤞🏻I am planning on limiting what I'm doing though for the couple of weeks before whenever they c section date is but he'll still be going to school & DH work so it's hard

@Minster2012 aww that's lovely you both met up and the kids got on well! Is this the first real life meet up from the bus? It would be lovely to do that more but for me I'm too far away from everyone 😅 and because I'm not a usual Instagram user I'm still pretty anonymous to you all actually. @2020mission ooh I'm so intrigued by your first name now! It is very Scottish? You live near my friend in Glasgow I believe so when I next visit her I'll let you know and see if we can make something happen. I'm thinking I'll see her in May/June. Haven't actually told her this yet mind lol!

I woke up feeling crappy in the night and feel awful this morning, did a LFT and yep, it's positive 🤦🏻‍♀️. Not much point in testing in terms of the fact I don't HAVE to isolate but I obviously will. I presume I don't have to do anything different because I'm pregnant other than take nothing but paracetemol? Any ideas anyone?
