Is it looking like for anyone else their feb baby will be arriving in March? Due 24th of feb and very fed up 😂

feb2022 · 28/02/2022 07:30

@AAllen56 I'm due today and I've been having little niggles but I think she's far too comfortable in there... she's probably heard the weather forecast and thought sod that! 😅

feb2022 · 28/02/2022 07:31

@Chichimcgee how's little one getting on?
How are you doing x

CucumberCool · 28/02/2022 07:44

House of COVID

So my partner and SD have both tested positive (both had multiple tests throughout the day, starting negative then became positive).

I still seem to be negative.

Partner is wearing a mask and we have the window open (cold! We're staying under the duvet today I think!).

SD coming home tomorrow.

I'm still negative.

Is there a way to test a 13 day old? Is there any point? I'm keeping an eye on her temperature but I don't think there is very much I can do if she does have it?

Anyone else been in this situation? I think I need to hear positive stories of newborns not being effected if anyone has any?!

AAllen56 · 28/02/2022 09:55

@feb2022 it just feels like it’s never going to happen! I have my first sweep today, very nervous 😩 do you have anything booked? (sweep/induction)

I am in a same boat - was due on 24th and still no sign 🤪
Maddie020 · 28/02/2022 10:49

Hey ladies who already has given birth - did you have any sort of signs before going into labor OR before water broke?

I am already 4 days overdue and still no sign of her coming out.

P.S. we've issued eviction notice for her 🤪

feb2022 · 28/02/2022 11:35

@AAllen56 nope not yet I was supposed to have an appointment today but when I checked my notes it says the 8th March 😂 obviously a mistake so I'm just going to wing it the next few days if nothing has happened
I'm having period type cramps at the moment though and back pain so hopefully things will start to happen soon...sooo fed up now 😅

BabyFeb22 · 28/02/2022 12:48

@Maddie020 Nope I had no signs at all! Just woke up one morning stood up and my waters started trickling! My partner even asked if I was sure that I'd not just peed myself a bit (won't lie I did also wonder the same 😂). I also expected my waters to just all go in one but they didn't so they started at 5ish and I didn't call triage until about 8ish when I was sure it was my waters. Good luck everyone still waiting!

Dogt17 · 28/02/2022 13:58

@Maddie020 I had absolutely no signs at all. I then started with lower back ache, a little like period pains around 4/5pm. This lasted maybe an hour or so but then went so didn’t think much more of it. Lost my mucus plug about midnight & waters went around 1am

CucumberCool · 28/02/2022 14:32

I didn't lose my plug (noticeably anyway) and my water were broken for my when I was well into full labour.
I wasnt sure I was in labour and I was 8/9cm dialated when I arrived at broth centre.
One thing I would say is back and period pain came in waves, but I felt no contractions in my tummy.

feb2022 · 01/03/2022 06:05

@PrettyPlatapus broth centre made me laugh 😂... I do love a typo
I'm having back & period pain now as we speak, not sure if it's the real deal or not, feels really different to when I was in labour with my boys, most of the pain is in my back, like an awful spine twisting nerve pain 🤢

BabyFeb22 · 01/03/2022 08:48

@feb2022 That was like my pain I hardly felt anything in my stomach it was all in my back I felt like I didn't know what to do with myself!

BabyFeb22 · 01/03/2022 08:50

We had her 10 day check up yesterday and she's doing amazing, was born at 5lb 5oz, dropped down to 5lb 1oz on day 2 and now at 5lb 10oz! She rewarded us with some lovely projectile vomit at 4am though that went all over her, her basket and us and our bed 😂 poor thing even had it in her ear!

haidri · 01/03/2022 10:21

@Maddie020 no water breaking, no mucus plug, no contractions.. just back pain 🤦🏻‍♀️

Maddie020 · 01/03/2022 11:54

Thanks ladies - I am still waiting - hopefully having membrane sweep today and hope it does something 🤪

Maddie020 · 01/03/2022 13:58

Hey Mammas - so I am 5 days overdue, just went to midwife for membrane sweep but she couldn’t do it as I am not dilated at all - is it normal not to be dilated at 40+5 weeks? Xx

AAllen56 · 01/03/2022 17:31

Same with mine yesterday! We are due same day 😅 I had bleeding and cramping today and another sweep booked for Thursday, very dissapointing isn’t it 🙁 xx

Yes it is disappointing, I am feeling so heavy now and just being impatient 🤪
feb2022 · 05/03/2022 16:29

So ladies I had my little girl yesterday at 1:30am... she is just perfect in every way
Anyone else still waiting?
I was 4 days over in the end

becarefuloutthere · 05/03/2022 17:32

@feb2022 congrats 🥳 I was 4 days over as well. Had my little girl on the 26th.

Sleepyquest · 05/03/2022 18:57

Yes :( I was still nowhere at 41 weeks! Any sign now?
feb2022 · 06/03/2022 06:34

@becarefuloutthere awww congratulations 💜💜
I think my little one has colic or reflux at the moment

Dogt17 · 07/03/2022 09:46

Can anyone recommend nappies? I’ve been using Aldi’s. I used these with my daughter over 4 years ago & they were great. My son is only 16 days old and we are having 2 or 3 leaks daily. It’s driving me mad as it’s just adding to the already never ending pile of washing 🤦🏻‍♀️

CucumberCool · 07/03/2022 14:00

We're using the Aldi eco ones and ive not had a problem, the Lidl version however were leaking every time!
