@Dogt17
Thinking of you, hope everything goes well today! X

lulabilly · 19/02/2022 14:36

Congratulations to all mamas!

I’m due 28th and started getting period type cramps through the night however these were constant so can’t be contractions? I feel a bit sick today, can this be a sign of early labour?

feb2022 · 19/02/2022 14:54

@lulabilly I'm due on the 28th too and I've been the same the last couple of nights, it goes by the morning but definitely very crampy at night time, I'm also sickly and a bit off my food
Fingers crossed it's things starting to progress I'm so done with pregnancy now 😂

lulabilly · 19/02/2022 15:44

@feb2022 are you also a FTM? Is the baby engaged yet? Fingers crossed for us!

feb2022 · 19/02/2022 15:48

@lulabilly no it's no3 for me, my last appointment the midwife did say she was very low down and she was engaged
I remember feeling quite crampy for the week before I went into labour with my boys too and feeling a bit "off"

Chichimcgee · 19/02/2022 18:49

Due 27th and exactly the same, period type cramps but doesn’t feel as tight across my stomach as it did when I had my son. He wasn’t in the right place though so not sure if it’s a sign of labour or not?!
Have moved into our new house yesterday via dv refuge so don’t have a midwife and haven’t seen one since 34 weeks, I’ve managed to register at the doctors and hoping to get an appointment asap but meanwhile very crampy, lots of pressure and lightning pain

Peachi82 · 19/02/2022 20:09

Just to update, we had our daughter via elcs on the 15th. Surgery went well and I was home the day after. We're so in love with our little lady ❤️
Trying to rest as much as I can to recover from the pregnancy and the birth.

@Chichimcgee
I have sent you a message regarding the Facebook group. I didn't kick you off and I don't think the other admin did. If you let me know your real life name, I look into it. I am sorry you feel hurt.

Chichimcgee · 19/02/2022 20:21

@Dogt17 how exciting!

@Peachi82 I have replied, I know who it was, she just didn’t like me I think. Congratulations on baby, I bet the time is flying by isn’t it!

I’m so uncomfortable I just want her to be here now, I don’t know how there’s room in there for her and my organs, it feels very cramped!

momo20 · 20/02/2022 05:34

Hello everyone! Could I please have the link to join the Facebook group please?

Dove88 · 20/02/2022 06:59

I’ve not really been active on this thread but have been reading all the posts! Just wanted to add our arrival
Baby arrived early Sunday (20th) morning at 41+2 after a long induction. Ended up with absolutely no pain relief aside from tens machine as gas and air made me really sick! I was shouting ‘I can’t do this’ literally as she was being delivered. I’m an absolute wuss too so I’m sure all you other ladies have got this!
Dd is sleeping well but I keep jumping awake to make sure she’s breathing 😂

feb2022 · 20/02/2022 10:31

@Dove88 congratulations 💜💜
Haha I still do this and my 2 are 2&3 😂😂

BabyFeb22 · 20/02/2022 14:54

Baby arrived 18/02/22! The morning after being told we didn't need to be induced and could go until due date my waters broke-typical 😂. Pretty small at 5lb 5 so just got home! Also, any tips on the best place to buy tiny baby clothes?? We have Primark and Morrison's but they still bury her! Xx

Winterfellismyhome · 20/02/2022 16:07

Congratulations @Dove88 & @BabyFeb22

Asda have tiny baby sizes Thanks

I've been having horrible period pain and tightenings since about 4pm 🤢
Making me feel a little bit sick... I hope they don't tail off into nothing

BabyFeb22 · 21/02/2022 07:52

@feb2022 When my contractions kicked started (had started a little before the drip) it was like bad period pain but it was in my back. Was only 3cm but when they put me on the drip they only had it on the lowest setting and I got to full in 4 hours and they said after they think it may have been because I'd been in slow labour a few days without realising and just thinking the pains were normal pregnancy back pain.

BabyFeb22 · 21/02/2022 07:53

@Winterfellismyhome Aww brill thank you I'll have a look in there 😊

Dogt17 · 22/02/2022 06:31

My baby boy arrived on the 19th after a second long, awful induction. It seems my body doesn’t know how to go into labour or it doesn’t know how to progress. He’s had such a difficult few days of his life as soon as he was born I noticed there was a certain something that didn’t look quite right. He’s been examined by lots of doctors & he does have a form of disability. My heart breaks for him. It doesn’t matter to me he is still the most beautiful boy in my eyes. But I’m now full of worry that he’ll get bullied or life might be made hard for him because of this. It’s also awful to watch your newborn be constantly examined, prodded & poked. Today we have no appointments or anyone to see & I plan on sitting & cuddling with him all day ❤️

Chichimcgee · 22/02/2022 06:34

@Dogt17 my ds has disabilities, he’s the most incredible person I have ever known, I know things are so difficult right now but he will prove to you every day how amazing he is ♥️

Chichimcgee · 22/02/2022 06:39

Baby girl born 20/02/22 5lb 6oz
Went into labour the day after we moved from the refuge into our new home.
Had her the following day by emergency c section. She had big problems and needed resuscitating.
Cousin meant to have ds and left him at the hospital so he’s at emergency foster absolutely terrified bless him.
A complete and utter nightmare to be honest.
BUT we all get to go home today, baby is a fighter and doing well, ds is incredible and will be fine and I just want to lay down on my sofa and relax!

Dogt17 · 22/02/2022 07:40

@Chichimcgee thank you so much for the kind words. I find myself looking at him & then just burst into tears. He is the most beautiful little thing & it really hurts at the moment. He’s not even 3 days old yet & there’s been so much focus on it with doctors & specialists. Then we’ve told family so there’s been lots of questions. I just going to forget about it today & just enjoy having my beautiful boy here 💙

Dogt17 · 22/02/2022 07:42

@Chichimcgee and congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Sorry to hear it’s all been a bit eventful! Enjoy all being back together today ❤️

CucumberCool · 22/02/2022 17:18

Congratulations on the birth of your son @Dogt17. Thinking of you during these first few days. I hope you have some answers soon and you can get on with enjoying life with your perfect little boy. XxxX

feb2022 · 24/02/2022 08:45

I'm so sorry to hear some of you ladies have had a rough time lately, congratulations on the births @Dogt17 @Chichimcgee
How are you feeling?

Chichimcgee · 24/02/2022 22:08

@feb2022 I posted on aibu as she was very poorly, cold and not waking or feeding etc thank goodness she’s on the mend now. She’s on the 0.4th percentile so is a little fighter.
I’ve had bladder retention and weakness, I’ve had mri/ct/xray and they want to do more scans and tests tomorrow. Managed to get ds to a friend who genuinely adores him so he is safe and happy.

swiggles · 26/02/2022 11:42

Oh no chichimcgee, sorry to hear you've had such a tough time. Thinking of you all! How are you doing today? X
