No more neighbours to smooze @bez91, the one that also lives down our driveway this morning asked me if they could remove an old gate post that's on the driveway (we own the driveway) but on her boundary line so that they can fence off their land better and she just said oh they'd seen it and not bothered (but they are a fair bit away from our actual house anyway)

@Juno231 I guess that makes sense about the vernix I can see if being good for the skin I guess

@kate105 fresh air is like your best friend with getting little ones to sleep from what I’ve heard, good set up you had in the garden hehe!

Last night shift to go on 4 hours sleep this is a accurate photo of me right now 🤣😩 DH said when I got out of shower this morning my belly looked big, sadly it’ll not be baby wise I thinks celebrations chocolates & ham sandwiches & crisps I’ve been living on at 3 in the morning 🙃🤣 I can’t zip up my work trousers anymore as they are high waisted 😩

@feliznavidad2 a different man 😂 omg i can see him starting to tell strangers that! I've been struggling with meat the last couple of weeks and mainly eat vegetarian/pescatarian atm as meat just doesn't do anything for me right now. Tonight's a mushroom stroganoff! I bloody love a celeriac soup btw, I'm jealous of yours.

I can't remember who else mentioned it just this weekend but I do keep thinking how funny so many of us are having girls where we've timed our DTD perfectly with having boys per the shettles method!

@feliznavidad2 oh my days! A different man. 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, any man will do. No need to be specific. I think accidentally drowning babies probably isn't that uncommon, the paramedic had clearly seen it all before.
@Minster2012 @Juno231 makes sense. I didn't realise it had a proper name. I refer to it as 'mank'. 🤭 The special baths also seem sensible. A slippery dog is hard enough, a baby must be worse. 🤣

@Vil10 I actually felt sore and had twinges for a few days after my scan. And I don't feel she even poked that hard.
@bez91 no one needs a life supply of talc, surely? Is that still bad for you? I remember reading it was and it's not something I've ever used myself. My friend used to after swimming though!

And clearly the boy/girl timed sex theory is incorrect! People need telling! 🤣

Anyone who has had a COVID jab recently... did you get any symptoms like extreme fatigue or fever? I see you escaped it with the booster @Juno231 can I check which one you had? I should be getting it soon but I'm reluctant incase it hits me and I can't look after Matthew for the day and breastfeed him 😬 my husband was in bed for a day with his last and he was just too knackered to do anything. Don't know whether to hold off longer until Matthew is sleeping more during the night and doesn't need me as much. Yes that was me also that mentioned the irony of so many girl babies when us lot TTC purposely aim for DTD on ovulation day or right before 😂 I guess it's a myth!

@Juno231 @2020mission yeah I also said our last sex was twice on the day before OV so in theory was expecting a boy!

I had my covid jab a while ago but was absolutely fine. I had Pfizer @2020mission

@2020mission I had a Pfizer jab on Saturday, just had an arm-ache for a couple of days and a sore throat Sat evening, no major impact.

Sorry if I've missed any major events? I'm so tired atm. Been walking looooads everyday and bouncing on my ball non stop that today my back is absolutely killing me! I saw my midwife yesterday and she did an internal and gave me a very small, gentle sweep and I didn't bleed thankfully. I've not dilated anymore but my cervix is a bit thinner and waters are bulging so my bishops score is now at 8. We've agreed to do a proper sweep Wednesday afternoon if nothings still not happened as DS is at his dads so if I bleed and end up over at DAU then it's not a big deal and then I'm booked for induction Friday if she's not here by then. Obviously still hoping she comes spontaneously before all of this!

@Minster2012 hadn't even acknowledged babies need towels. 🙈
@Crazydoglady123 aaarrrggghh. This baby is really keeping us all in suspense! Fingers crossed she arrives before Friday. Personally I think she's being very sensible. Avoiding a pre payday January birthday. 😁

@2020mission I had my third moderna - but I think it's a bit of a toss up really as I was really ill from the first two.

We DTD every day for 9/10 days in the run up and over ovulation - and I released 2 eggs 🤣 so there was that much speed up there they both got fertilised 🤣
1 boy and 1 girl 💖💙

We should make a little boy/girl tally to see who many of each we know about but it's def too heavy with a few beautiful 💛 surprises

@2020mission I had AZ when I had mine last year and was off from first but fine with 2nd, my booster last month was Pfiezer and I was absolutely fine - I've heard and seen that mainly AZ caused illness and now they aren't using that hardly so you should be fine. Take a paracetamol every 4 hours just in case and rest when you Can and drink plenty of water xx

@Minster2012 I've finally started to think about what we need and still feel like I am forgetting something 🤦🏽‍♀️ 25 weeks tomorrow so had to start thinking of hospital bags just in case 😬
I keep saying I need to make a list, a to do list, a baby needs list, a mum needs list... have I done any yet? Nope 🤣🤣

Tbh the last couple of days (I ovulated later than expected hence so many days) weren't overly fun but I refused to let us waste a day 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣 I'd heard that amount of sex helped so had to test the theory...

He's hardly had any since! Poor bloke - between bleeds, sickness, exhaustion and now the fact I'm so big 🤦🏽‍♀️ he got his 9 months worth in the month we got pregnant 🤣🤣🤣

Oh @feliznavidad2 your DS! Kids bless them the things they say! Yesterday afternoon my OH went to a funeral of his friend and my 11 year old (ASD so not always socially acceptable bless her but we are getting there) said to him "have fun" 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ I had to explain that's not the right thing to say, and explained what is acceptable to say so she then went over to him and patted his arm and said "I hope it goes as well as it can" then turned to me and gave me the thumbs up 🤣🤣🤣

Ahh bless your DD, she sounds similar to my nephew. He has GDD so doesn't pick up on social queues and has slurred speech. He's so patient as he always has to repeat himself to be understood.

So nothing like celebrating the second trimester like cancelling our fertility appointment yesterday!! They asked for a reason for cancelling and it felt so strange saying it!! But they were so lovely on the phone!! It was supposed to be just after we found out so I rearranged and then it was going to be on the 14th feb! Talking about 14th feb, does anybody here celebrate Valentine's Day? We usually don't, might get each other a funny dirty card and OH got me a good vibrator one year but that's it, I didn't know whether to cook something nice this year!

Also I can't remember who said about being off meat but I'm the same, I'm usually all for the meat but since last week I've just been a bit off chicken, so batch making some slow cooker veg curry this week for my tea (although I forgot to put in half the veg🙄)

I mean strictly they don't @paintfairy and you could use any old towel but the ones with hoods are quite good for wrapping them up after bath.

There are twins in both sides many moons ago.
But as these are B/G twins @larrythelizard and separated sacs/placenta it was 2 eggs so I over ovulated which is most likely down to my age (35) as my family are early menopause re so I'm
Towards the end of my fertile time and it's quite common for over ovulation over 35 ! Which I never knew! Crazy!!

Dh bday is day before v day so we're more celebrating his bday but we still get each other cards and perhaps something small. I usually get flowers from him.
@larrythelizard I'm still wfh and have my baby shower on sat so I'd rather she waited until due date. I'll get a couple of weeks off then too which is much needed, I'm shattered these days! Ooh I'll bet you'll defo buy new stuff but not as much as your first. I've gone overboard on the clothes but only because I accepted ones from friends and my sister. I may as well not bought my own now 🙈

Valentines I'm not sure what we'll do. But we never go out on the night if its silly money. Often we'll go for a meal at the weekend or whatever instead. Maybe do something at home on the day itself. But we don't make a big thing of it.

@paintfairy I think my sister picked it as ppl would've been paid and more likely to come with it being it January n all. My due date is still 4 weeks away so hopefully it's not too late and there are no early arrivals! 🤞🏾
Yes it was me! It was good, back is sorted but my pelvis still hurts. Hurts less tho so it was worth it. Can't find any pregnancy yoga classes round here with space so the plan is to YouTube some exercises once mat leave starts next week. How are you today? X

I fear for the impact on my not buying things if you guys start making lists @paintfairy as I now thing new baby needs new fluffy towels instead of the ones that are slightly discouraged from their big brother and my inability to wash white things separately 🙄

Big question in my mind is which room to give the new baby. DS' nursery is now DH's office. So does he get evicted? Or does new baby get the big room straightaway. But we still need a spare bed to ensure some people sleep, so does that mean a sofa bed for new baby's room? I'm going round and round in my head, DH thinks I'm ridiculous!

Don't forget that comment my mum made about me not needing things & I was like errrrr 🧐I think that won't hold up 😜i don't think give the baby the big room yet, they just don't need it & if you do for office & spare room then def that. Is there another (cupboard) baby could live in? So is that making the bigger room the office /spare bedroom & current office the baby room?

So DS is starting to MASSIVELY get into baby. Out of nowhere. He's taken to putting a nappy on his Pooh bear & saying he needs a nap (it's mummy that needs a nap) and then today it was "I'm going to put the twins down for a nap?!" Errrrr what???

Also got a DH feeling very sorry for himself as root canal treatment the other week has now led to an abscess & now tooth removal today & telling him he needs another root canal on the one next to it. He's miserable & on a diet of purée foods for a while so I've come to get him some nice ice cream. Also going to offer him some baby food but think his sense of humour might be on strike 🤪
