Me! I am due on 13th August after trying for 16 months for baby number 2. How are you feeling? x

ksc912 · 16/12/2021 09:42

Ahh excellent congratulations! How old is your little one? I’ve not been too bad bouts of nausea, tiredness. Feeling quite anxious still very early!

How are you feeling? x

Heyy, I’m due 19th of August too Smile. Congratulations! Feeling very tired and with very sore breasts. Had nausea last week when I just found out but none this week. The anxiety and waiting is horrible isn’t it haha. I feel I wasn’t warned about this part by anyone Smile. Have you booked scans and appointments yet? X

Anoushka1986 · 16/12/2021 09:56

I'm due 7th of August according to last period. Starting to get some nausea and fatigue. Feeling more emotional so I guess hormones are surging.

ksc912 · 16/12/2021 09:59

@LMc1 ahh exciting congratulations! Similar symptoms to me. Although I did wonder whether the nausea had only come about since I got the positive test ha ha. Are getting any cramping? I’ve had a but not as bad as period pains but didn’t know if it was a good sign or not?!

No not yet. I was going to wait to end of this week to phone doctors. But now they redistributed staff for vaccines so think I’m going to struggle to speak to my gp. Have you? I’m considering booking an early scan in new year to put my mind at ease x

Hi @Anoushka1986, congratulations! You are a little ahead of me. Have you had any appointments yet? Is this your first? x

Actually yes! That's why I tested.
I constantly feel sick, have since Saturday. Whenever I'm not eating I've got a metallic taste in my mouth and my boobs feel like they are going to fall off!

ksc912 · 16/12/2021 11:01

@surprised12 good sign your hormones are increasing! Ha ha, mine are getting pretty sore now. I'm sure they are getting bigger already had to take my early last night ha ha

Hi everyone, I found out I'm pregnant yesterday. I hadn't had a period at all since coming off the pill so no LMP to go off, but I guesstimate I'd be due latter half of August.

I have one DC already who was born prematurely at 33+1. It was a funny pregnancy with a lot of early bleeding, then intense BH contractions from 19 weeks which eventually just turned into labour. DD was born vaginally then stayed in NICU/SCBU for twenty days. No cause for these issues was ever discovered but to be honest, no one really looked for one.

I was told I'd be referred to consultant care if I had another baby so an expecting that to happen but don't really know how it works. I assume midwife refers you after booking in?

Hoping for a more chilled pregnancy this time anyway! Hope everyone is feeling good xx

Congratulations! Hoping you have a smoother time this time!

I think you'd start with your midwife and they'd refer you?

surprised12 · 16/12/2021 13:23

I was pregnant earlier this year - March. Got to 12 weeks and then found out the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks.
Ended up having a surgical procedure to help move it all along.

It's making me stress this time so just going to try and relax! (Easier said than done)

ksc912 · 16/12/2021 14:44

Hey @CoalCraft fingers crossed for you.

Ah I'm sorry to hear that @surprised12 hoping all is well this time. It is... I the type of person who will always find something to stress about.

Have you all decided on how to get through Christmas? I want to tell my family as I think they will know anyway if not drinking. Worried about SIL who has had a couple of miscarriages TTC first still.

@surprised12

Thanks, yeah I have a phone appt with midwife on Tues so will ask then about being referred to a consultant. Feel a bit cheeky in a way as the surgery don't usually book you in with midwife until at least 8 weeks and I think I'll be more like 5-6, but as there's no LMP to go off they say we can't be sure and they've got me in early. I suspect I ovulated roughly 14 days ago based on having a really, really faint line on Sat then a strong line yesterday, but it is just a guess.

Really sorry to hear about your mc, crossing everything it works out for you this time Flowers

@ksc912
I'm not playing on telling anyone IRL till after the 12 week scan. Fortunately I don't drink, so people won't be suspicious, but I can definitely see how it could be hard to keep the secret otherwise! Sorry to hear about your sil, it is a tough situation. My brother and sil have sadly also suffered a loss so will have to give a think about how to break the news sensitively.

Beth262 · 16/12/2021 20:29

Hi everyone

I'd like to join please 🙋‍♀️ I'm due 10 of August and am 6 weeks. This is #2. We have a DS who turned 2 last week.

@surprised12 so sorry to hear about your mc. Hoping it all works out for you.

@CoalCraft Congratulations! 🎉 Nice to see you over from the TTC thread 🙂

beckybabyx · 16/12/2021 20:49

Hi everyone, I’m due 26th august, found out Sunday so very very early (4 weeks today) at first I was just so excited and had no worries in the world and now the anxiety has kicked in! Xx

NetflixAndSauvignonBlanc · 16/12/2021 21:42

Hello ladies! I’m due about the 24th August I think. Still can’t believe I’m pregnant despite positive tests for the last 5 days. I have an almost 2 year old already.

CoalCraft · 17/12/2021 06:34

Welcome @Beth262, @beckybabyx and @NetflixAndSauvignonBlanc congratulations!

Beth, it's lovely to see you "graduated" too!

Littlebutload · 17/12/2021 07:55

Hi everyone, can I join? Just found out a few days ago I'm pregnant after a MC at 9 weeks in the summer. I'm trying not to get to excited and manage my expectations, I think I am going to be worried the whole pregnancy. I am going to book in to see my consultant for the second week in January when I will be 8 weeks for a scan.

ksc912 · 17/12/2021 08:02

Hello everyone @Beth262 @NetflixAndSauvignonBlanc @beckybabyx @Littlebutload congratulations too!

So sorry to hear mc - keeping everything crossed for you.

After trying for over 12 months I thought I’d feel relief to be pregnant now just worried something may go wrong!

Is anyone else considering having an early scan?

OP posts:
Littlebutload · 17/12/2021 09:56

@ksc912 yes I was thinking of going for an early scan, but I'll be 7 weeks right around New year's and I'm not sure they are open over Christmas/new years, and then I'd have my 8 week scan the following week. Plus they are €100. Need to do some investigating

Beth262 · 17/12/2021 11:46

Congratulations @Littlebutload and I'm sorry to hear about your mc. I completely sympathise with your anxiety. This is my 5th pregnancy but only 1 has managed to last the course and even he came at 30 weeks. Like you I am trying to manage expectations and even met my positive result with a bit of a "meh" but that's purely about protecting myself. Here if you need any support.

Congratulations @beckybabyx and @NetflixAndSauvignonBlanc too!

@ksc912 am booked in for a scan at 8 weeks due to previous losses but if I wasn't, there'd be no way I could wait until 12 weeks so I'd certainly be getting an early scan done. Positive test to 12 weeks feels like a lifetime, especially when you already have anxiety!

dancingonmars · 17/12/2021 12:18

Hi everyone, can I join too? Just found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant, a week after starting infertility testing! Quite scared and anxious already and I've only known for a few hours.

Devvy · 17/12/2021 12:29

Hi everyone! Jumping onto this thread! Found out I am pregnant after trying for almost 3 years. We were due to start IVF in January and somehow a miracle has happened. We have booked in for a viability scan at 7 weeks just to reassure ourselves. I am due 20th August with my second! Halo
