@seathistle How about more protein? Usually I eat roasted chicken and small amount of mashed potatoes. Sometimes I go with rice and omelette. I hope eggs, cheese and chicken are not your aversions.

squatternutbosh12 · 02/02/2022 16:09

@seathistle yep dinner is the hardest- so called ‘morning’ sickness definitely worse in the afternoons/evenings! I have found plain/margarita pizza quite easy to stomach with tons of salad. And Mac and cheese for lunch - not the healthiest but in my defence I am stirring a bit of spinach in 😂

@CoalCraft omg it must be so difficult finding your dd’s dinner makes you feel sick! Urgh I hope that improves for you soon!

I also have got a ton of christmas chocolate/sweets that I can’t eat because apparently all delicious things are now guaranteed sick triggers, so DH enjoying happily scoffing them himself 🤔
Pfffffftt (I have banned him from my faves and they are being saved til easter when presumably I will be glowing or blooming or whatever pregnancy is supposed to be like.. #willbelievethatwheniseeit)

PopGoesBang · 02/02/2022 16:31

Aversion wise any hot drinks. But broccoli really sends me over the edge currently.
Cheesy jacket potatoes are my go to lunch currently. Evenings are harder trying to please everyone - generally can't handle raw meat so as long as someone else cooks there's a chance I'll cope. But my sickness is much worse in the evenings currently. Ever hopeful it will settle down and I can start just enjoying things rather than looking like I'm going to vomit at everything every few minutes.

madeleine85 · 02/02/2022 16:40

@seathistle 100% with you on the crisps. I had 2 bags of squares for breakfast yesterday lol. and @SantiagoSister I cannot be anywhere near chicken this time around. Hoping it settles soon!

@squatternutbosh12 I remember last time I couldnt look at rice then the minute I gave birth it was all I wanted. I think I stole and scarfed all the thai fried rice my husband got himself that night. Hormones are so bizarre!

CoalCraft · 02/02/2022 16:45

@squatternutbosh12 Thankfully I can usually offload DD's tea responsibilities to DH, though the smell is still horrible. If DH isn't around then she gets something else for her dinner!

Gem2811 · 02/02/2022 17:40

Scan went well today measuring at 12+2 due date of 15th August! Such a relief!

beckybloomwood11 · 02/02/2022 17:48

Aww that's great news @Gem2811 , glad it went well!

Beth262 · 02/02/2022 17:54

Wonderful news @Gem2811 Smile

seathistle · 02/02/2022 17:55

Love the food chat. So reassuring I'm not the only one who's eating like a toddler 😅

@Gem2811 fantastic news! 👏🏼

@madeleine85 sounds like a nutritious breakfast to me! 😉 salt and vinegar is my absolute go to as well. Tyrell's sea salt and vinegar crisps have a special place in my heart.

@PopGoesBang @Beth262 yes jacket potato! I am going to have to try that again. The beans I'm not 100% on but hundred weights of cheese and butter I could get on board with.

@squatternutbosh12 glad I'm not the only one! With you on the salad - I think anything that's fresh seems to be ok, or if it's a carb... or if it's coated in sugar. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@KitsuneDream that's a good shout, I did go off eggs but I'm going to try and be brave and sneak them back in again.

@notsofertilemyrtle hahaha! That diet sounds like heaven to me. Basically the same. I've had ice lollies too - you know the fruit pastille ones? So nostalgic. Keeping everything crossed the nausea doesn't return for you!

madeleine85 · 02/02/2022 17:59

congrats @Gem2811, that is lovely news!!!

Glago2017 · 02/02/2022 18:21

@Gem2811 fab news!! X

squatternutbosh12 · 02/02/2022 18:40

@Gem2811yay that’s great news, congratulations 😊

@seathistle I’m desperate for an ice lolly now!!

notsofertilemyrtle · 02/02/2022 18:43

Congrats @Gem2811 must feel great!

@seathistle oh god yes! I've been on calypos but yes to fruit pastille ones! I'm usually so careful how/what I eat, balanced meals etc.
Out of the window for now.

Fingers crossed we all 'bloom' soon Confused

KitsuneDream · 02/02/2022 19:27

@Gem2811 Great news! Smile

I have been off work for 6 weeks and returning back tomorrow. Wish me luck girls! 🙏 I feel like I am starting to feel sick again 🤢 but it can be the anxiety really. I prepared so much snacks for tomorrow as I do 12-hour shifts. Made sure I have ginger chews as well. And how I wish I can take ice lollies! LOL

seathistle · 02/02/2022 20:44

@notsofertilemyrtle @squatternutbosh12 yes!! Ice lollies are the dream. Rocket lollies are a good shout too. Or orange squash with loads of ice. Heaven!

I just wen to the shop and got myself 3 big bags of s&v crisps, coco pops, and orangeade. The picture of health here!

seathistle · 02/02/2022 20:46

@KitsuneDream good luck tomorrow! Make sure you have an ice lolly waiting for you at home instead!

Ahh thanks @smooshraspberry but I'm not on Facebook so can't join sorry.

netflixandnochill · 03/02/2022 10:57

Think I jinxed myself saying that I was no longer nauseas as I feel awful today! ☹️

KitsuneDream · 03/02/2022 11:17

@netflixandnochill aww hope you feel better soon.

@seathistle thank you! It's really dragging today at work. I feel so fatigued. I was a little nauseous but the ginger chews helped. Can't wait to get home.. 9 more hours!

CoalCraft · 03/02/2022 11:36

I definitely have sicky days and non-sicky days (thankfully just nausea, not actually bringing anything up). Yesterday was a sicky day and we'll have to wait and see about today. It tends to come on early afternoon and fade by evening.

Work really drags for me too - it's where I feel most fatigued even though I'm busier at home in some ways. Also the whole household has a cold at the moment and we were all kept up by DD's horrible cough :( (not covid)

11+2 today with 14 days till scan fidgets impatiently

Isonthecase · 03/02/2022 11:54

Yes, it's all dragging so much! A week and a bit until my scan and I have a load of maternity bits in my basket online but nervous about clicking buy until we see an actual baby in there. Also knackered, which doesn't help, and too busy with work for a cheeky nap here and there 😭
I'd say hurry up end of Feb but we'll only start worrying about something new then!! Don't think I stopped worrying as much with either of mine until they were at least one..

Beth262 · 03/02/2022 13:37

@Beth262 would you mind tagging me please? I can't find it.

KCat82 · 03/02/2022 20:02

Cancel! I've found it 🙄🤣
