@Confusedmumof4maybe5

Hi I’m due 1 aug I was diagnosed with a subchoronic hemorraghe two weeks ago i had bleeding 4 days then nothing a little bit of spotting I’m going for a scan today to check but has anyone else been suffering with headaches I have a constant one
I'm no Dr but I would say given that you're getting positive tests and a 3 + on a CB digital, it's a good sign?
CoalCraft · 21/12/2021 08:05

Welcome to all newbies!

@Confusedmumof4maybe5 Ouch, that headache sounds painful! Hormone weirdness can cause headaches and so can worry/stress, so it's probably nothing, but if this is unusual for you and it's been going on for more than a couple days, it might be a good idea to get in touch with your GP as it can also indicate blood pressure problems

Wishing you all the best xx

London1987 · 21/12/2021 08:10

Hi all! Can I join too please!
I also just found out I was pregnant and due August 26th.
I’m kind of in shock as we literally only tried once (I was travelling for work) and didn’t expect it to work first time as I’m 34 and so many people were freaking me out that it would take a year. I know, I know… it only takes one! But yes, first time unprotected and boom!
Anyway, now in the late August club. :)

Mufflette · 21/12/2021 08:27

Flowers to all those going through anxious times, hoping for good things for you all.

netflixandnochill · 21/12/2021 08:37

I totally understand @Pearldrops04 - the anxiety is overwhelming. Definitely the right thing to call your doctor and see if there’s something they can do to make you feel better. Hopefully they can put you at ease xx

netflixandnochill · 21/12/2021 08:38

Hear hear @Mufflette

ksc912 · 21/12/2021 08:40

Sending big hugs to those who are experiencing difficulties. Hope we can be a sounding board and all turns out well in the end xx

@London1987

Welcome and congratulations! DH and I were lucky to conceive very quickly both times after I came off the pill and honestly it alarmed us a bit - scary to think we might have just been one or two missed pills away from pregnancy all that time! Obviously still really grateful not to have a long wait till conception though

Dontsaykwen · 21/12/2021 09:15

Hi all
Can I join please. Due 27th August. I’m 37 and partner is 44 so came off pill in October and got a positive on second month 😬😬😬
@London1987 same was expecting it to take a few months at least but you realise the pill really has been doing it’s job all these years. 😂😂
Pretty anxious about miscarriage and ectopic so trying to stay calm and relaxed until first scan. I’ve just self referred to West Middlesex.

rosesarereddish · 21/12/2021 09:30

Feel like I need to tell work soon really, I go up on to the covid wards which I'm not comfortable doing anymore really. I hate telling people so early. Also I'm already sick as anything, it's quite hard to hide. Everyone found out around 6 weeks last time too as I had hyperemesis and was so unwell.

Dormouse76 · 21/12/2021 09:46

@Pearldrops04 - please try to not to worry. I had a similar experience with my first and all turned out ok in the end. As for anxiety meds, I had a conversation with my doctors about this when trying to conceive (we did IVF) and was decided better I'm on my meds than off... I was a state before going on them, and now feel so much better and know that I'm more relaxed and in a better place to carry the baby. Please don't beat yourself up, take advice from the doctor and you will know what's right to do. There's so much stigma on mental health, and I think it's good to talk about it as you're not alone.

@rosesarereddish It's really hard. I told my work very early as I'm public facing. I think with the new omicron around it's important to be careful. I've held off telling wider family and friends though, just telling on a 'need to know' basis for my and the baby's safety.

Really sorry to hear about everyone whose having a hard time too - I feel for you. So grateful we have this group to support each other through.

CoalCraft · 21/12/2021 09:46

@rosesarereddish

Ah, sorry you feel so ill Sad It's not ideal but you'd better let work know if it means you can avoid covid contact. Any chance you could just tell your line manager and ask to be put on any duties without arousing suspicion in other colleagues?

I am hoping not to have to tell work till after 12 week scan but we'll see. I'm an industrial chemist and while most of the chemicals we work with are fine while pregnant as long as you take sensible precautions, others are just too risky. I have quite a lot of say over what projects I work on and last time I was able to nudge things so I was only on safe ones, but if there's talk of putting me on more dangerous things I may have to have a quiet word with my manager, who in turn may have to talk to HR. It wouldn't be ideal but not the end of the world, certainly better than potentially exposing the baby to something nasty. My manager's great and I trust her and HR to be discreet.

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 21/12/2021 11:34

Has anyone expedited bleeding and clotting and baby been ok ?

CoalCraft · 21/12/2021 12:05

@Confusedmumof4maybe5

In my first pregnancy, yes, though DD was born prematurely. I don't know if the bleeding and prematurity were linked.

London1987 · 21/12/2021 12:22

@Dontsaykwen and @CoalCraft - yeh - I couldn’t believe how fast it happened. I honestly was shaking with shock when I found out yesterday! But good news nonetheless. I’m trying not to get ahead of myself/ excited as I’m so conscious of how many people have problems. Have just self referred to UCH in London. Fingers crossed!

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 21/12/2021 12:54

I keep
Bleeding on off my midwife thinks I miscarried without scan in hence why the private scan today

Dontsaykwen · 21/12/2021 13:06

Ah so sorry @Confusedmumof4maybe5 but fingers crossed for good news at your scan.

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 21/12/2021 13:10

Thank you

firsttimemama182 · 21/12/2021 14:34

Hi Everyone!
I'm currently 6 weeks and 2 days and due on 14th August - also my first pregnancy!
Had a really early private scan at 5 weeks because I thought I was further along (PCOS and irregular periods!) and could see a tiny little 2mm sac!
Still very anxious but hoping that everything progresses well.
@rosesarereddish I am in the same boat re Covid wards also feeling sick and exhausted. I think I might have to tell work after Xmas.

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 21/12/2021 14:52

I’m out I miscarried Friday it seems happy health 9 months every one

Beth262 · 21/12/2021 15:15

So sorry to hear its not been successful for you this time @Confusedmumof4maybe5 sending you virtual hugs x

@CoalCraft how are you today? Amy more blood?

@Pearldrops04 did you have any joy with the GP?

Also, welcome newbies! 🙂

CoalCraft · 21/12/2021 15:20

@Confusedmumof4maybe5 So sorry lovely Flowers

@firsttimemama182 Welcome!

@Beth262 That's very kind of you to ask, no I haven't had any more blood, thank goodness, feeling a bit silly for contacting GP now to be honest but I suppose that's what they're for. Still waiting on a call from the midwife today.

How are you getting on?

plwcm · 21/12/2021 15:26

@CazWte

Hey ladies! Hope it's ok to join? Firstly I am so sorry to those who have had bad news! 🥲 I have just found out I'm pregnant, due 21st Aug, currently still on maternity leave with my 9 month old daughter so they will be 18 months apart! Wish me luck! 🤪 x
Omg! I'm new here now too, but we are in the same March baby group on fb! Here's to us both having babies 18 months apart 🤪

Not sure a due date for me as 9 months post partum my periods have been irregular, but tested positive this morning 😍

Beth262 · 21/12/2021 15:39

@CoalCraft glad to hear there's been no more and you definitely shouldn't feel silly for contacting the GP. Hopefully you'll hear from the midwife soon.

I'm feeling OK thanks but just really anxious today for some reason. I think it's because I've got next to no symptoms (apart from feeling like someone is taking to my nipples with razor blades when clothing brushes against them 😆) so I'm convincing myself it's all gone wrong again. As much as I love Christmas, the 30th can't come quick enough! x

mamaof2girls · 21/12/2021 16:05

Anyone had light pink bleeding/discharge when wiping? X
