Thought I'd make a thread for those of us who have been through treatment or faced infertility and are finally pregnant.

I have just got my BFP following frozen embryo transfer! It is still very early early days but I've had my beta today at 11dp5dt which was 474 so very pleased.

It's now the anxious wait to the 7 week scan at the end of the month!

@Shroedy thanks for that! You are right more medication isn’t necessary I’m just overthinking it and trying everything to make sure it works but at the end of the day you can only do your best the rest is in the hands of nature. I will be on the same medication on you! Hoping and praying so hard that it works

@MrsLA88 I had pineapple on my fresh transfer with McDonald’s fries. Il try them again for my FET👍

MrsLA88 · 31/12/2021 08:19

@ToCaden that's amazing! I'm so nervous about my scan today, I really need to hear that wee heartbeat ❤️

@Shroedy good luck for today please let us know how it goes x

Shroedy · 31/12/2021 08:20

@MrsLA88 and to you too! Everything crossed for both of us...

ToCaden · 31/12/2021 08:46

Good luck guys. Best of luck today!

Shroedy · 31/12/2021 10:11

Everything is exactly as it should be! 🎉🎉🎉

Measuring 7+1 exactly, heartbeat and everything else looking good. Consultant thinks I might be offered an additional NHS scan between now and 12-weeks due to a combo of IVF pregnancy and my other medical quirks (which don't really increase the risks but they'll want to keep an eye). We held off sending in our booking form until we'd had the scan but it'll go in later today.

So relieved!

Cakecakecheese · 31/12/2021 11:03

@Shroedy great news!

I had my scan yesterday, 7+4, good heartbeat and all looking good. The relief was immense!

ToCaden · 31/12/2021 12:41

Yay @cakecakecheese and @shroedy so glad you guys got good news.

MrsLA88 · 31/12/2021 14:03

@Shroedy congratulations! That's great you get extra monitoring just for reassurance.

We're all ok too! Measuring exactly 7 +2 saw their little heart flickering away, I'm so proud of my little one ❤️

What a lovely start to the new year 🥳 Also anyone suffering with queasiness definitely get some sickness bands, I slept with them on last night and this morning was so much better x

ToCaden · 31/12/2021 16:59

@mrsla88 yay that's great news.

Happy New year guys. Hope it's a good one for all of us.

Shroedy · 01/01/2022 10:48

@MrsLA88 that's great news ☺️ - best start to 2022!

I was with my in-laws last night and my husband had told his brother and sister after the scan, so this was the first time we'd seen them. We hadn't told the teenage nieces and nephews who were also there, though, so it wasn't a topic of conversation, just lots of knowing looks, little comments etc - was very funny!

Lori23TTC · 02/01/2022 12:20

@Shroedy @MrsLA88 @Christmascakecakecheese
@ToCaden

I hope I have tagged everyone who has had their scans! Great news so happy for you all - I have my next scan on Tuesday 😬🥰 x

2021babyhope · 02/01/2022 12:28

Hi everyone, hope it's okay to join 😊 I'm due fairly late in august according to my IVF dates (27th) and have just hit 6+1.

For the last week I've had quite bad sickness and nausea (yesterday being the worst day) but this morning I've woken up and feel comparatively much better! Still can't eat loads and feel a bit off but I just wondered if anyone has experienced the same thing?

Is it usual for it to just go away over night? I have my scan on the 11th January so just praying everything is as it should be.

Cakecakecheese · 02/01/2022 13:17

@2021babyhope it's normal for nausea and sickness to come and go I think. Today it has most definitely come for me.

Lori23TTC · 02/01/2022 13:41

@Christmascakecakecheese me too, feel so sick every time I stand up!

Starlight2021 · 02/01/2022 18:19

Hi everyone, appreciate reading all your stories and scan updates.

I’m due August 27th, it’s my first positive after 4 rounds. Much like a lot of ladies here, I didn’t expect the anxiety beyond the positive and I am symptom spotting worse than the 2ww!
I have an early scan at 6+4 next week and am feeling the nerves set in.

Had a good beta with first 568 and then 1385 41 hours later but I haven’t had many symptoms so not sure what to expect at scan.

Thanks all x

ToCaden · 04/01/2022 14:53

@Starlight2021 welcome. What day is your scan due?

Back at work today. My back hurts and I've been wanting to go back to bed since 9am. Been thinking I was pretty lucky with only mild nausea so far, but today is challenging that.

But bonus is I'll be eight weeks tomorrow and get to tick the first midwife appointment off the to do list.

Shroedy · 04/01/2022 15:24

Welcome @Starlight2021 and congrats! Honestly I'm not convinced that I'm actually going to accept / believe that this is going right until I am actually holding a baby! Whilst it's easy to joke about, and anyone who's pregnant is likely to feel anxiety, when you've gone through what we all have we're programmed to expect there to be another bump in the road if things seem too smooth. Betas look good! When this week is your scan?

Shroedy · 04/01/2022 15:28

@ToCaden tell me about it! I was working last week on the working days too and felt queasy all the time so got little done. Last few days were ok and then nausea returned with a vengeance today, first day back again. Think the embryo is allergic to work 😂

Sleeping terribly too - my back has been an issue for a while (third trimester is going to be fun...) and is playing up. I need to do some pregnancy yoga. We've also just ordered a new, super king bed, which should help when it turns up so I don't get pinned between my husband and the cat in some kind of night time pincer movement!

Cakecakecheese · 04/01/2022 15:33

Tiredness has hit big time. I'm in the fortunate position of working from home so afternoon naps are a thing Grin

2022babyhope · 04/01/2022 16:12

@Starlight2021 ah we have the same predicted due date! 😊 the sickness is real at this point 🥲 how're you feeling?

My clinic won't scan me until 11th Jan! I bet you can't wait for the first scan! I'm counting down the days!

Starlight2021 · 04/01/2022 18:01

@ToCaden So scan is booked for Friday, clinical like an early viability scan so I’m hoping 6+4 is enough to see hb. My back is killing me today, right near my tailbone so I completely emphasise!! Hope it improves soon . Congrats on your 8 week milestone 🎉

@Shroedy While I wish no one else was experiencing the anxiety, I’m glad I’m not alone!! You’re right, this process makes us question everything so I suppose it’s normal enough to feel this way. Scan is Friday and I’m not overly optimistic but I think that’s my go to when I’m anyway anxious!! Hope you’re back improves! How far along are you?

@2022babyhope hey Due date buddy! My clinic wanted one this week so I’m in on Friday 🤞

Novavee · 05/01/2022 08:09

Hi everyone,
Sorry I've bern a bit absent. It's been a tough few days.
Congratulations to all that had their scans and welcome @Starlight2021 and @2021babyhope.

I had my booking appointment yesterday over the phone. It took approximately 45 minutes and it was mostly going over my medical and family history but it was also quite informative about the next steps.
As it is an ivf baby, the midwife is referring me to one of the consultants and I should have that appointment in the next 8 weeks or so, but from the questionnaires yesterday, he said it is a low risk pregnancy and will likely go back to midwife led care throughout the rest of the pregnancy. Off to have my booking bloods this morning.

Shroedy · 05/01/2022 12:08

Hi @Novavee, had been wondering how you had been! Sorry you've had a bit of a tough ride recently - it sounds like everything with mini-novavee is progressing as it should be though? Are you getting lots of support? I feel like I need a lot at the moment, albeit ironically at the point where so few people know!

Helpful insight into the booking appointment. I waited until after my scan to refer myself as I was paranoid about tempting fate but now thinking I should have referred earlier. I know things are moving slow at the moment.

Novavee · 05/01/2022 15:10

Hi @Shroedy yes, despite hating feeling like this, it is reassuring that everything seems to be as it should with the little one. My DW has been great, so I have all the support I could want at home but apart from a couple of people no one else knows and it is hard deflecting questions at work. It would be easier if I could work from home and take some cat naps. As it is, I have to power through.
I had my bloods, urine and blood pressure checked today and got my maternity folder with the details of the team and consultant I'll be under.
Everyone was very welcoming and reassuring and it definitely made this feel real, being surrounded by midwives and several very pregnant ladies 😊

I self referred immediately after my scan but I had it at 6+2. I was told everything is being booked very last minute and I would have the booking appointment before 10 weeks regardless. How far along are you now?

Sunbird24 · 05/01/2022 17:51

I have my scan tomorrow (8+4), and will self-refer straight after if it’s good news. I did it before last time and it wasn’t great as I ended up having my booking in appointment between the first scan where they saw a heartbeat but measuring small, and the second where it was gone, so then I had a maternity folder but no pregnancy.
