Thought I'd make a thread for those of us who have been through treatment or faced infertility and are finally pregnant.

I have just got my BFP following frozen embryo transfer! It is still very early early days but I've had my beta today at 11dp5dt which was 474 so very pleased.

It's now the anxious wait to the 7 week scan at the end of the month!

@dogmam I just saw your update and I am so very sorry, lovely. My heart breaks for you. Sending lots of love and strength.

Welcome @Faerun and @theotherfossilsister and congratulations to you both!

ToCaden · 22/12/2021 07:48

Six weeks today! And my scan is in a week. Hope everyone relaxes and enjoys themselves this Christmas. Xmas Smile

Shroedy · 22/12/2021 11:08

Congrats @ToCaden - that will be me tomorrow! Honestly, the count down to my scan next week is killing me. Still feels like it could just disappear in a moment but the scan will hopefully help it feel less precarious...

Chrischross · 22/12/2021 14:19

Hi everyone,

I am coming over from the IVF/FET thread. I am 7w6d from our most recent FET. I do already have a DS who just turned 3 from a previous FET. My due date is early August. I am am still in shock since it took us 4 cycles with DS and things have gone pretty smoothly some far, this time around. Touch wood.

How is everyone?

Shroedy · 22/12/2021 18:41

Welcome, @Chrischross and congrats! It's a bit shocking when things actually go right, isn't it? I've got so conditioned to things being not good news I still don't quite believe it.

I'm 5+6 so a little behind you. Feeling ok (some nausea, terrible tiredness and some mild cramping etc). This is no. 1 for us after 5 years TTC including 3 of IVF so we're both hugely excited and terrified it will all go wrong at the same time. How are you feeling so far? Did you have an easy pregnancy with your DS?

Novavee · 22/12/2021 22:18

Welcome and congratulations @Chrischross
I am 7+3 so a few days behind you. How are you feeling? I had morning sickness and nausea pretty much all of last week, but this week it seens to have stopped. Not sure if symptoms are supposed to come and go or if I should be worried. It's my first pregnancy so I have no idea what to expect. I am trying to focus on the fact that all was well at the scan last week.

I've received today the confirmation of my nuchal scan which is booked for 21st January, but nothing yet about a midwife appointment. Hoping to have something between now and then to break the wait.

I hope everyone is doing well xx

theotherfossilsister · 23/12/2021 08:27

As my HCG started so low (38) going up to 228 in five days, am back in the hospital for another HCG and maybe a scan just to see it's not ectopic. I'm only five weeks so not expecting to see much but to see anything in the right place would really reassure me as I'm terrified. Mainly of losing this very wanted little baby.

ToCaden · 23/12/2021 09:42

@Novavee I know what you mean about symptoms disappearing etc. I had cramps up until around the five week mark, then worried because they disappeared. They just came back a day or so ago and now I'm worried due to that. My first scan isn't for another six days so hoping it'll show a healthy bean and I'll finally stop worrying something is wrong. Took another test this morning and line was nice and bold, but really won't know for sure until the scan.

@theotherfossilsister best of luck with your hgc levels / scan.

Happy Christmas eve eve everyone.

theotherfossilsister · 23/12/2021 09:52

@tocaden Thank you xx

Faerun · 23/12/2021 10:40

@theotherfossilsister Good luck today! I started spotting so was seen for a scan due to the low hcg, which was a relief - not ectopic for me, and looked to measure on track though they can’t see much so early.

Chrischross · 23/12/2021 11:35

@Shroedy thank you for the warm welcome. Congratulations, it’s wonderful when it finally works and honestly after so many negatives and twists and turns it’ll take a while for it to feel real. Pregnancy with DS was uneventful, went pretty smoothly. We did book a few private scans for peace of mind.

@Novavee congrats! I think nausea does come and go. I had the same thing last week and panicked slightly but it came back with a vengeance and seems to have disappeared again. How exciting about your scan?! I’m sure you’ll hear from midwives soon. Christmas is probably slowing things down a bit. Good thinking, study below shows once heartbeat is detected at 6 weeks, chances of miscarriage drastically drop to as low as 1.5% at 8 only weeks. Generally speaking things will very likely be just fine.

ToCaden · 23/12/2021 12:00

@Chrischross yay statistics. I do love a good study and that one is very reassuring. Thanks for sharing it.

TeaAndCrumpets1 · 23/12/2021 15:03

Hi ladies, I posted back on page 1 of this thread. I’ve not posted since as to be honest it’s been a difficult couple of weeks. I had two heavy bleeds last week, at 5 weeks. We thought the worst (and I think so did the clinic), but my hcg stayed high and today we had our scan and saw little ones heartbeat. We can’t quite believe it. Clinic have put me back a couple of days from what online calculators are saying, to 6+3.

I hope everyone is doing ok xx

Christmascakecakecheese · 23/12/2021 19:20

I think I've posted in this thread but it would have been a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway I've been a bit of a mess but I'm staring to calm down. Disappearing and reappearing symptoms really do not help!

My scan is next Thursday so I've got Christmas to distract myself. The issue with that though is I had a scan last year, was told everything was fine then 2 weeks later I miscarried.

Chrischross · 23/12/2021 23:20

@TeaAndCrumpets1 that’s amazing news. You saw a heartbeat. Bet it was such an emotional experience. I know it’s easier said than done but try and stay positive. I always think there is something powerful about putting positive thoughts out to the universe.

Chrischross · 23/12/2021 23:29

@Christmascakecakecheese I am sorry to hear that and totally understandable why you would be anxious. Try and stay positive

Northandsouth85 · 24/12/2021 07:20

Hi! I am 6+5 and I’ve had a private scan which was positive so am feeling hopeful but after one late term loss and two early miscarriages I’m always cautious. I guess we all are aren’t we… Just to throw some reassurance, my FRERs were light and HCG was low to start with but all going ok so far… Hope you’re all doing ok.

MrsLA88 · 24/12/2021 07:40

Morning everyone, merry Christmas Eve! I hope everyone is doing ok?

The morning nausea has really kicked in, I'm definitely not complaining I welcome any symptoms lol

I'm anxiously waiting for my covid PCR results as I had a faint positive on a lateral flow 😩 hopefully find out today so we can re arrange Christmas if I do have it. I feel fine so I'm hoping it was just a dodgy batch of lateral flows.

How's everyone feeling? Our scan is 1 week today! As excited for the scan as I am for Santa lol x

MrsLA88 · 24/12/2021 08:20

It's negative... A Christmas miracle! 🌲

Novavee · 24/12/2021 08:23

Morning, everyone

@ToCaden disappearing symptoms are the worst but I have read that cramps are normal as long as not very strong. I think it's the uterus growing and making space for baby. Mine at 7 weeks is apparently the size of a lemon so that would explain all the twinges.

@Chrischross thanks for the link. I do love a study and reassuring statistics. And what do you know? Nausea came back yesterday with a vengeance, worst day ever. I think I just need to take each day as it comes and remember that each day takes me closer to safer weeks.

@TeaAndCrumpets1 sorry to read you had such a scare last week but great news seeing the heartbeat. It's such an amazing experience, isn't it? Don't worry about the measurements so early on, my sonographer said they can't be that precise when they are so tiny. In my case she said they didn't have measurements for 6+2 only for 6+3 which is what she wrote on my file although I was definitely 6+2.

@Christmascakecakecheese I'm sorry about your loss. It's totally understandable it is playing with your mind but try to remember it's a different pregnancy and all will hopefully go well this time around.

Welcome @Northandsouth85 I am sorry about your previous losses but great news about your scan. I think it is impossible not to be anxious about everything. I used to think the hard part was going through ivf/fet and all the anxiety surrounding it and all the waiting. I had no idea... but it's always going to be like this from now on, isn't it? We'll never stop worrying...

@MrsLA88 good luck with your pcr, hopefully just a bad lateral flow, but it's good news that you are feeling well (apart from the nausea but that is equally good for its own reasons).

It's going to be a busy week on this thread with scans next week. Wishing you all the best and a Happy Christmas xx

Chrischross · 24/12/2021 17:39

@MrsLA88 a Christmas miracle indeed. You must be so chuffed. Happy Christmas Eve to you all.is anyone else on the non alcoholic wine and cider?

Shroedy · 25/12/2021 15:42

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas! Wishing us all only amazing things between now and the next one and for next weeks scan-bonanza x

Northandsouth85 · 26/12/2021 17:26

Thank you @Novavee Flowers

Northandsouth85 · 26/12/2021 17:28

I’m a little worried as I’ve just got (TMI warning):
the slightest brown tinge when I wipe
Sad
No cramping or red yet so really hoping it’s nothing.

Shroedy · 26/12/2021 21:42

@Northandsouth85 - definitely not time to panic! Easier said than done, no question, but if you're not cramping or in pain and just a teeny bit of brown, that's pretty common from what I understand. Would it give you comfort if you contact your clinic when they're next open, just to get their input and reassurance?
