Thought I'd make a thread for those of us who have been through treatment or faced infertility and are finally pregnant.

I have just got my BFP following frozen embryo transfer! It is still very early early days but I've had my beta today at 11dp5dt which was 474 so very pleased.

It's now the anxious wait to the 7 week scan at the end of the month!

@mrsla88 I bought it a while ago before resorting to ivf. Might have been from here www.biovea.net/UK/product/detail/2386/phytoestrogen-cream-2oz-60ml/?TI=GGLUK&C=N&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImMGSx-fd9AIV0d_tCh2eywT-EAQYBSABEgLlKfD_BwE

Very similar to you. Had great line progression. Stopped testing at test day, but might do another around five weeks to check. Apparently around six weeks onwards you can come up against the hook affect which can make preg tests less accurate.

Was feeling ill with cold symptoms yesterday. Felt awful, but fingers crossed better this morning. Now starting to feel nauseous over things that would not usually bother me like the cat litter box, and weird feelings towards food. Like I'm hollow rather than hungry and don't really want to eat but want to have eaten. It's the cramps I find the most disconcerting. I breathe a sigh of relief every time I go to the toilet and there's no blood.

MrsLA88 · 12/12/2021 08:31

@ToCaden thank you for the link! For £18 I'll give it a whirl. I just spoke to my husband I think I'll call the clinic again tomorrow and just ask again. If they say no, then I'll make peace with it.

I'm not that hungry either! My coffee was rank this morning so I made a peppermint green tea which is also rank 🤣

I've also been getting cramps but I keep thinking this is little one getting comfy lol

Morning @Sunbird24 congratulations on your BFP! I'm so sorry about your losses, it's so hard to stay positive. I do feel different after my loss in October so I'm clinging to this and trying to manifest this is my time x

Shroedy · 12/12/2021 08:55

Ah, @MrsLA88, we're transfer / due date buddies! Im also planning on booking in an early scan for NYE Grin

MrsLA88 · 12/12/2021 08:59

@Shroedy no way! How are you feeling so far? I'm so excited and nervous x

Shroedy · 12/12/2021 09:04

Exactly both those things! Incredibly excited as it's my first BFP after 5 years and at the same time quickly realised that I'm now worrying about the blood test, then the early scan, then the 12 week etc etc...

Yesterday I felt a little nauseated and was ecstatic, ha! It's like anything that makes me feel pregnant is a little victory! I have a really dry mouth, not sleeping well and need to pee more often than a 90 year old which are all, apparently, also "good things" Grin

MrsLA88 · 12/12/2021 09:57

@Shroedy me too! I'm weeing so much 🤣 I keep getting twinges which makes me happy. I'm also so tired but keep walking up in the night or early morning, and then I start thinking and that's it I'm wide awake lol

I'm hoping the next couple of weeks fly by at least it's Christmas so there's lots of other things to think about x

Shroedy · 12/12/2021 11:37

@MrsLA88 honestly, I have a dry mouth and Dr Google tells me this is common and I should drink more but if I drink any more I won't be able to leave the house and will be up 4 instead of 2 times a night 😂 - I also get the twinges, it was actually the first pre BFP symptom I got that I hadn't had previously and didn't think I could put down to the drugs. It was what made me think maybe this had worked.

MrsLA88 · 13/12/2021 07:23

@Shroedy are you still on progesterone? You might have seen on my earlier post my clinic are telling me to stop but I'm so scared!

I had really bad cramps last night but they soon disappeared again, I'm like come on little buddy keep digging!

Has anyone called their embryo anything? We've called ours Eleven! They were embryo number 11, transfered in November and our OTD was 11/12 x

ToCaden · 13/12/2021 09:29

@mrsla88 glad you mentioned that. I developed the habit of calling it lefty since I had so many weird pokey twingy feeling on the left a little after transfer. Once I got my bfp I'd already gotten used to thinking of it by that in my head and was wondering if others developed a nickname for it in their head this early.

Sunbird24 · 13/12/2021 09:44

My previous two (went in together) were Pip and Dot as I had a super-vivid dream they were a boy and a girl, and those name obviously signified their tinyness. Nothing yet with this one though

Shroedy · 13/12/2021 09:52

@MrsLA88 yup, still on the progesterone, my clinic keep you on it until 12 weeks so a while to go with the fun fun pessaries. It does seem earlier than I have generally heard of a clinic telling you to stop progesterone, particularly if it's an FET / fresh donor. Dr Google suggests there's evidence it doesn't actually make a difference but I can't tell whether they're always talking about post-stimulation. Have you asked to discuss it with your clinic?

@MrsLA88 @ToCaden I've actually dubbed mine Shroedinger (Shroedy for short, hence the handle!) on the basis that, at the moment and whilst it's in its "box", it's both a baby and not a baby at the same time - I think I have a slightly dark sense of humour 😂

ToCaden · 13/12/2021 10:19

@shroedy my inner geek loves that nickname. Grin

MrsLA88 · 13/12/2021 10:41

Ah I'm glad we've all got silly names for them! I love Shroedinger I've often thought of the same thing as you!

I think I'll call the clinic again on my lunch and just say I've not officially ran out and I'm panicking, if they can rationalise it with me I might be ok. 18 days till my scan 🤞🏼 x

Novavee · 13/12/2021 10:49

Welcome and congratulations @ToCaden @Shroedy @MrsLA88 @Sunbird24

It's amazing to see so many BFPs joining.

@Shroedy good luck for your beta today

@MrsLA88 my clinic will keep me on cyclogest until 12 weeks. They gave me enough before my fet to last until the after the scan and ii should pick up more soon.

I am 6+1 today and I seem to have entered morning sickness territory. A waste of a perfectly good breakfast but it is reassuring and will probably help me stay sane until my viability scan tomorrow.

MrsLA88 · 13/12/2021 12:41

@Novavee oh I'm sorry to hear about your sickness! Very exciting you've got your scan tomorrow, best of luck.

I'll be honest every time I get a symptom I'm really excited 🤣 I did another test today and the pink line was so strong which is a relief I was dreaming last night it was all over x

Shroedy · 13/12/2021 13:35

Got my beta and I'm at 985 on 4wks+4 - range for 4 weeks on the report is 9.5 to 750 so clearly happy with that!

ToCaden · 13/12/2021 14:48

@mrsla88 me too. It's so hard to believe things are still going well did another test. Barely any holding of pee and test line was as bold as control line almost as soon as liquid went over it, so reassured.

@shroedy yay. Congrats. That's great news.

MrsLA88 · 13/12/2021 15:13

@Shroedy congratulations! That's amazing ❤️ I wish my clinc did beta tests!

@ToCaden that's so reassuring, hopefully we'll stop feeling like we need to keep checking x

Sunbird24 · 13/12/2021 15:36

I wish my clinic did Beta testing as well, but it’s probably just another thing I’d get obsessive about! I got a 3+ weeks today so will have to content myself with that.

Lori23TTC · 13/12/2021 15:41

Hey! Please can I join…

I got my BFP on Saturday ☺️ It’s my first ever positive after ttc 2 1/2 years… I had my FET on 30/11 so I’m 4 weeks 4 days and due date is 18/8/22!

So excited to see lots of other BFP on this thread!

My test line came up strong as soon as I put the test in my pee but I’m not sure if I need to test again at any time? My 7 week scan is on 30/12. Xxx

Shroedy · 13/12/2021 15:47

@Lori23TTC - congratulations! You're transfer / due date buddies with @MrsLA88 and me! It's the most exciting and yet terrifying time, isn't it? I've been TTC for five years and definitely feel like it's my time to have some luck over here...

@Sunbird24 my clinic just do the one, which I'm glad of and it's reassuring, but they don't monitor by blood tests going forward. I'll take my final clearblue digital this weekend to check it's showing what it should but then it's onto the wait for the scan. I think it's natural to obsess / focus on whatever is there to obsess and focus about. I genuinely don't think my other half actually believed I was pregnant until the blood test, though. He's even worse than me!

Sunbird24 · 13/12/2021 15:55

@Shroedy oh bless him! Fingers crossed there are miracles ahead for all of us, we definitely deserve them after all we’ve gone through to get to this point!

I’ve definitely referred to previous pregnancies as ‘Shroedinger’s baby’ before now as well!

Lori23TTC · 13/12/2021 16:23

@Shroedy thank you! Congratulations to you too! 🎉 yay it’s nice to have buddies at this exciting but nerve wracking time!! Wow 5 years that’s tough! Deff our time for some luck!! My clinic didn’t offer a blood test so will wait to see how my bubba is doing at the first scan! So nice to have other people going through the same thing as me! Xx

MrsLA88 · 13/12/2021 18:48

@Lori23TTC ah we're due date triplets?! How are you feeling? My scan is the 31st 🤞🏼

@Sunbird24 that's great you got the 3+ I'm going to get some week tests and move onto those next 🤣 x

ToCaden · 14/12/2021 06:58

@Novavee good luck for your scan today.
