@Curlymam88 great minds think alike lol it has to be done! 😄🎄 we normally spend all christmas morning and afternoon in our pyjamas normally change for Christmas Dinner but we stay in comfort of our own home all christmas day! Would love to see a bunny in a christmas jumper lol ❤
@jadey1991 its normal to have increased clear/white discharge but the mucus plug is more stringy in texture (even more tmi snot like) and normally loose that just before giving birth. Funny you say that about the nesting.....I'm having one of those cleaning days today and feel I'm doing things that would normally take a while to sort through a piece of cake today! Still in progress of packing my hospital bag though! 🙈

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 12:28

@lovebeingmum9 yea we won't be going anywhere on Xmas day this year so we will be in our pjs same as you.
Here you go...a bunny in her Xmas outfit 🤣 my daughter Loves this rabbit. Treats her as though she's her baby, but I think the rabbit actually enjoys it!
Well done both for your cleaning, I've not got the energy for anything like that. Just about managed a shower!

@Curlymam88 to be honest I cannot remember what it looks like. I've Googled it and some women have a lot of it(looking jelly like) but then I've seen some that looks like sticky discharge with a streak of blood x

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 12:38

@lovebeingmum9 I thought so. I just cannot remember as it's been 7 years since I was last pregnant 🙈🙈... yeah I'm literally going through so much. Normally I would be napping but today I'm not. I have everything ready now for baby including hospital bag etc. Now it's just cleaning the house x

@Curlymam88 Thank-you she is adorable....
i love it! ❤ We was so tempted to get 2 rabbits this year but we just couldn't commit,as we have too much on as it is....also don't think our 14yr old dog would appreciate them lol we've had dogs since before our children so once our old boy crosses over the rainbow we will have a break so we can hopefully have a holiday or 2 without the worry! won't feel the same though!
Tbh i really havnt got the energy normally just a sudden spurt today!? lol
@jadey1991 Well done your smashing it! you sound overly prepared which is brilliant! I sort of feel in a weird shut down mode where I know baby will be here in 5wks.....but I almost can't believe it so not acknowledging it by being 'ready' if that makes sense! Think its starting to dawn on me.....over the weekend I had my first ever panic attack and was overwhelmed with fear and worry about baby,health,labour....so I'm trying not to stress...was really awful! 😓

cutejeans · 11/11/2021 13:02

@xTinkerbell not sure if this is helpful at all but have you heard of the spinning babies website?? I haven't used it but we did a baby class where it was recommended to us! It gives exercises to try and change baby's position? Just thought it was worth mentioning xx

@Curlymam88 @lovebeingmum9 awww the matching pjs are adorable! I wanted to get matching for me, my partner and baby but with being due Christmas Eve I don't know if there's any point!! We might have to wear them in hospital

@jadey1991 I also lost some of my mucus plug over the weekend, I'm going to mention it to my midwife on Sunday but I've read that it can regenerate itself if you lose it too early so as long as you aren't having any other signs of labour then it's fine?? I could be wrong though as this is my first pregnancy haha! I'm also starting to nest now, I've got my hospital bags packed and today I'm washing all of his clothes ready for him to wear when he's born!! X

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:03

@Curlymam88 aww look at the bunny. Doesn't it look adorable... awww... to be honest hun I've given up now. I can't do anymore. Lol

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:05

@lovebeingmum9 oh hun I'm trying. I've literally given up on cleaning now. I feel exhausted l. Told hubby that I'm done. Oh I've been feeling like you tho. I've actually mentioned it in previous thread. I've been so anxious with labour this time round. I think it's coz it lags my first winter baby. I've just been worrying a lot about when labour will start and if we have time to rush kids of to family.

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:11

@cutejeans aww thanks for the info hun been so long for me i forget what it's like.

I can't believe how far we have all come ladies. I have to say from my side that it's been such a pleasure to have all your support.. it's like I've made some new friends. Lol.

lovebeingmum9 · 11/11/2021 13:15

@cutejeans aw wow Xmas eve! If not this year them imagine how cute baby will be next year in them ❤ Weve never had the full family set but this is our last baby so wanted to mark the occasion! I'm tempted to let our other 4 children do a home nativity this year (missed out last 2yrs because of covid) so was thinking we could have Mary,Joseph, wise man, donkey and newborn as Jesus 🙈 Haha where i get these ideas from i don't know 🤯
@jadey1991 thats exactly what it is just pure anxiety! Think there's a lot going on trying to get christmas organised while also sorting baby bits.....also think because this is our last baby its all a bit emotional that this is the final time I will be doing it all if that makes sense x

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 13:22

@lovebeingmum9 @jadey1991 aw sorry to hear about the panic attacks. I've been having palpitations with like a strange feeling in my chest that comes and goes. Dont know if thats just a racing heart or similar to a panic attack. Its not nice.
I'm all ready to go too 😁 i even bought snacks this week for my hospital bag. When I was in hospital a few months ago I asked for a chocolate mousse at lunch time but because they had me down as being diabetic they didn't give me the mousse they gave me disgusting sugar free watery jelly. I wasn't impressed. Ill be taking my own snacks in next time I be in!!
@jadey1991 I agree. I feel like I've made a whole new bunch of friends. Its lovely.

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 13:23

@lovebeingmum9 that sounds like a fab idea!! You should do it Smile

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:27

@lovebeingmum9 yes exactly hun last baby so it is emotional. Trying to make sure everything is done and prepared.

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:29

@Curlymam88 ooh you just reminded me lol.. need to make sure I have some snacks in my bag. Lol.. I want everything that I enjoy and like. Got to make sure I also pack my charger lol.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 13:30

@lovebeingmum9 that sounds like a really good idea for the kids. They will enjoy that lol.

OP posts:
cutejeans · 11/11/2021 13:41

@lovebeingmum9 I know I'll definitely be buying them next year!!! I've bought a little bodysuit that says my first Christmas just in case he does make an appearance!

@Curlymam88 you've just reminded me to get some snacks for my back as well hahaha

@jadey1991 aww that's so lovely! I know I've not been around as long but I'm so glad I joined, it's so nice to speak to people who're in exactly the same position

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 13:48

I'm glad I've been of some help to some people today 😁 feel useless lately. I packed some peppermint tea bags (supposed to help with wind after a c section) packed some penguins and crisps and cans of coke. And sweetener for my tea 😁

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 14:18

Just realised I've packed nothing healthy apart from belvita biscuits if they count??

lovebeingmum9 · 11/11/2021 14:24

@Curlymam88 well done your smashing it too, even packed your snacks.....I best get a wiggle on and sort this bag! don't want to get caught short and have to rely on hubby to bring everything 🤣
@jadey1991 its a lovely group and we've all had some great chat, advise and support for each other 😊 @cutejeans aw good your prepared with an outfit incase he does come in time for Christmas!
How long do you ladies expect to stay in hospital for after birth.....as much as I've enjoyed the induction process where I lay in bed and get fed 3 times a day by hospital (a complete rarity from what I'm used to at home with 4 kids and hubby who works 2 jobs) normally once I've given birth I normally come home the same day or earliest possible next day?

Theawkwardblonde · 11/11/2021 14:48

@lovebeingmum9 I'm curious to know what the protocol is fit staying in hospital after birth. My MW was very vague. Do you normally stay in hospital overnight? Again asking daft questions 🤦🏼‍♀️ joys of being a FTM

lovebeingmum9 · 11/11/2021 15:23

@Theawkwardblonde I know alot depends on what kind of labour you've had and health of you and baby after...so if you have a c section or complicated/assisted birth then might be in a few days longer but ive normally been out the same day or day after with all of mine i think....but then I would prefer to get home ASAP because of my other children and the aftercare has been shocking for me before! Dont know what affect covid might make on it though....might ask me at my next app x

lovebeingmum9 · 11/11/2021 15:30

@Theawkwardblonde there's no such thing as daft question when your a ftm....I'm super excited for you to experience it all for the first time! Its amazing becoming a mum 😊❤

Theawkwardblonde · 11/11/2021 15:34

@lovebeingmum9 thanks for the response! I'm getting very nervous but equally excited.
I'm hoping I'll be home soon after as I'm not the biggest fan of hospitals (previous bad experiences).

jadey1991 · 11/11/2021 15:37

@Theawkwardblonde like @lovebeingmum9 said it all depends on the north you have and the health or you and baby after. C-sections are completely different to normal delivery so I'm not sure x

Curlymam88 · 11/11/2021 16:26

A relative of mine had a c section in June in the morning she was home the following day. Im hoping that'll be the same for me.
