@jadey1991 come on you have to share the story of how your waters broke if it was funny?? Grin

Theawkwardblonde · 21/12/2021 17:03

@2020mission we are neck and neck 😂 I had back cramping at weekend but it's all gone now. I was told my induction is booked but still no date 🤷🏼‍♀️ SO looking forward to my sweep tomorrow 🤦🏼‍♀️ dreading it in case I'm in on Christmas but I just want this little one out!!

xTinkerbell · 21/12/2021 17:07

My little one arrived today, Aria 7lb 11oz

jadey1991 · 21/12/2021 17:13

@2020mission yes mine broke at home at 6:35 am. I woke my whole household up and went hospital. I suppose they say that too prevent any problems. I was quite shocked with my birthing experience tho. All my growth scans I had weren't accurate.

@Curlymam88 wel I woke up at 6am and went for a pee. Came back to bed and at 6:35 I try ought I had wee'd myself. Felt like a golf ball exploding lol. I screamed out to my partner and bless him he jumped up and fell over. My youngest daughter woke up crying. I'm standing there while the water is gushing down my leg. It was just a funny morning. Might not sound funny but had to be there to see what was funny lol. Then when I got induced I told the midwife I will dilate quick and she was like no I've not had anyone dilate that quick. 30 min later I was 6cm dilated and rushed back down to labour ward pushing lol.

Yay @xTinkerbell so pleased for you! My cousin just called his daughter Aria 💕 hope you're both doing well.

2020mission · 21/12/2021 17:27

@jadey1991 were the growth scans off as in they were estimating he was bigger or smaller? I'm still not convinced he's as big as they say. We'll find out soon enough hopefully!

Back cramps have just kicked in again. Was your bed soaked then @jadey1991 😅 I can imagine it is funny when waters gush out like that. My mum said hers just trickled and was barely noticeable and it was just before the birth.

cutejeans · 21/12/2021 17:41

I'd like to introduce my baby Freddie, born at 6.19 this morning weighing 8lb 10!

Definitely not the labour I planned for... after almost 16 hours in labour I had only dilated to 4cm and was not progressing at all! Baby was too big to fit through my pelvis and had got himself into an awkward position that he couldn't get out of, so it ended in emergency c section! Very tired, sore and disappointed but glad he's finally here safe and sound xx

lovebeingmum9 · 21/12/2021 17:44

Congratulations @cutejeans @julzx @tinkerbell beautiful babies and names! bet you are all over the moon and should be home in time for Christmas with your new lil ones! ❤💙🎄

jadey1991 · 21/12/2021 17:52

@2020mission well fingers crossed my lovely. This could be the start for you. Just time the cramps/contractions. Your waters may or may not break at home. This was the first time my waters had broke at hone. With my other 2 pregnancies they broke whilst in labour at hospital. To be honest no bed wasn't as soaked. Only when I stood up that's when it gushed out. X

@2020mission also he was measuring smaller then his birth weight. On 30/11 (my last growth scan) he was measuring 6lb15oz. When he was born 15/12 his weight was 9lb6oz.

@cutejeans aww welcome to the world Freddie. How beautiful. Well done @cutejeans. His weight is lovely.. I'm surprised I didn't have emergency c section. Instead I suffered 3rd degree tear

Ladies I'm going to have to make another thread. Thread number 4

Theawkwardblonde · 21/12/2021 18:13

@xTinkerbell and @cutejeans aww congratulations!!! ☺️🥰

2020mission · 21/12/2021 18:52

Aww congrats on Freddie arriving @cutejeans! Sorry you ended up with an emergency section but glad he's here safe. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? Just wondering as they are saying my baby is big and I'm 5'2

cutejeans · 21/12/2021 22:16

@2020mission I'm 5'4 so very similar height! They told me all along he was above 97th percentile! X

2020mission · 22/12/2021 16:23

@Theawkwardblonde did you get your sweep?? I just had mines she said I was 1.5cm dilated and baby is engaged so very favourable 🤞 they have moved the induction back to the 26th for me to give this a bit of time

Theawkwardblonde · 22/12/2021 16:25

@2020mission yours sounds better then mine. Baby is fully engaged with me but I have no dilation 😞 definitely think you'll be ahead of me! My induction isn't until I'm 41 weeks either, so not till Jan.

2020mission · 22/12/2021 16:41

Aww did they still manage to do a sweep though @Theawkwardblonde? Things can change quickly so don't give up hope yet 🤞

jadey1991 · 22/12/2021 16:59
