Has anyone not had sickness? I know I should be great full but just worrying about the lack of symptoms I have! X

Positive21 · 22/09/2021 10:21

Welcome all the new people and good luck to anyone with a scan coming up!

Mine is still 9 days away and boy is it dragging! It's taking everything in my power to not re-book earlier 🤦🏼‍♀️ I just so want everything to be ok, I'm so nervous but trying to focus on being positive.

@Aquarius1987 no sickness or nausea here. I have tender nipples, and get the odd wave of back pain and that's it x

@Positive21 how far are you? Yes I have sore nipples and the tiredness has definitely kicked in! X
Positive21 · 22/09/2021 10:32

@Aquarius1987 I'm 7+1 today. My early scan is at 8+3 oh yes, actually the exhaustion is a massive thing for me at the moment. I'm getting 9/10 hours at night and still wanting a nap! I normally run on 5-7 hours of sleep so it's a huge difference.

I think I get so excited and worried because I know everyone is so happy and wanting for these babies. My OH and I had discussed things and said we would start in June/July time but would absolutely love a May baby. I had people tel me "you can't plan like that" and felt very frustrated. It was like, if someone has an unplanned pregnancy that's cool but someone who wants to plan it is seen as obsessive and thinking too much?

So I'm so, so excited that this little bean decided to join us so soo after starting to try and will be due the month we favourited. Of course that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but I was so worried it would take me a long time. I've never had a pregnancy scare in 16 years of being sexually active. This year is the first time I've ever taken a pregnancy test at 31, and I was on the pill for 16 years so had so much worry. But I am so overjoyed and I just can't wait to check everything is ok with this pregnancy.

I am sending so much luck and love to everyone else because this is so wonderful and I genuinely feel more happy than I have in such a long time. I just want good news for everyone 😅💕

Sorry for that offload! I've only told two people and one doesn't want kids so I feel like I can't explain everything to her.

Agnitio · 22/09/2021 10:43

@Positive21 thats so weird, I could have wrote that post myself only I'm 6+1, no pregnancy scare in 17 years and first test at 32 lol.

I think I've had a bit of hormone surge overnight. Had some period pains in the night, woke up with insanely sore boobs, thirst and now got nasal congestion. Feels like the beginning of a cold but learning that pregnancy rhinitis/congestion is actually a thing. Hormones are powerful little buggers aren't they? No nausea for me yet, just waking up hungry every morning.

MorvenAlexandra · 22/09/2021 10:44

In the same boat I’m due May 19th but had a BO earlier in the year found at my scan let’s hope we have strong little apple seeds this time!

Jojo7979 · 22/09/2021 14:04

It’s so lovely to hear about the early scans everyone has been having! I have finally got my first midwife appointment through the post - a phone call on 4 October and then a face to face on 5 October. I think my 12 week scan will be the same week our little boy turns 2!

Bubbasmama2017 · 22/09/2021 14:10

Hi everyone I joined another may due date thread but seems like this one is being used more, I'm 6weeks+6days with my 2nd took us over a year to conceive and feels really surreal at the moment. Got an early scan in just over a week so hopefully everything will be ok then.

MrsSE · 22/09/2021 19:43

Just been for my early scan, measuring 6+2 not 6+5 as I thought but they said it’s just an estimate and nothing to worry about. We saw a big strong heartbeat which was amazing 🥰

Due May 2022 Thread 2
Hermioninny · 22/09/2021 21:20

@MrsSE so exciting, how are you feeling? Is this your first? I don’t think I’ll relax until I’ve had my first scan.

MrsSE · 22/09/2021 21:42

Feeling mentally very relieved and excited, it was so lovely when they described a ‘very strong ‘heartbeat’. Although she did ask if I’ve had bleeding as she could see a small patch of blood on the scan from implantation that’s described as a haemorrhage on the notes (I haven’t had any though.) She said they are fairly common and nothing to worry about, but if I get brown spotting that will be why- but to check at my 12 week scan that it has reduced or disappeared. Naturally I then went into complete panic about that even though she said not to 🤦🏼‍♀️ Physically feeling okay, waves of nausea throughout the day but nothing unbearable, the worst symptom has been a cold but I’m not sure if I caught flu from one of the children in my class and it could be completely unrelated to pregnancy. Yes it is my first!! Do you have an early scan booked??

AMM86 · 22/09/2021 21:51

Hello!
I am around 5 weeks and going mad not having people to confide in and check I’m going through similar stages…
Glad I’ve found this thread :)

Currently awaiting a call back from 111 as I’m panicking about some pains in my abdomen. Husband is certain it’s probably normal but I’m so anxious about everything. Has anyone else experienced this? It’s not severe, just a constant kind of dull stabbing pain. I’m panicking!
Amy x

Hi all congratulations to you all. Hope its OK for me to join I am due in May(not sure of exact date yet as have irregular periods because of pcos). Been trying to conceive baby no 2 for 2 years but it's been a struggle. However since May 2021 we decided to stop trying due to difficult family circumstances and being emotionally drained from the constant negative tests and this month have had a positive pregnancy test. I have been experiencing severe left sided pains so been seen at the early pregnancy unit and on Tuesday a scan confirmed and yolk sac in the correct place. I can't quite believe it but we decided to hold off telling anyone in rl so glad I found this group. I have had very bad sickness this time round can't keep anything down so feeling really drained especially with a demanding 5 year old with health needs but just trying to cope with it all. Hope you all are ok.

aNewYorkerInLondon · 22/09/2021 22:11

Wonderfull news, @MrsSE! So pleased to hear it went so well!

@AMM86, welcome! I'd be going nuts without the ladies here. My very first symptom, actually, when I was only about 3weeks + 3 days, I had these weird lower abdominal cramps. More like pinches and pressure than cramps though. This started three days before my BFP - I thought I had overdone the ab exercises at the gym! Anyway, I still get them sometimes but not all day, but they were pretty constant early on. (I'm 7+5 today.) My GP surgery has three anti natal specialists and the one I spoke to says it's completely normal and is to do with the ligaments that hold the uterus getting stretched and pulled as the uterus expands.

Welcome to anyone I've missed!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 22/09/2021 22:12

Welcome, @Newdreams! What a perfect name!

Sarah239 · 22/09/2021 22:14

@MrsSE Congrats about your scan! Lovely to find a very strong heartbeat. I have heard about these haemorrhage things before, you could look up Louise Pentland's (a vlogger) video on YouTube as she had one - the video is called something like "sensitive topic - my bleed in pregnancy". She had a scare at 11 weeks and it turned out to be because of one of those dark spots (her baby was born fine and healthy). I watched the video the other day which is why I remember it. Obviously be advised that she discusses sensitive topics/fear of loss in it though so you may not want to watch, depends how you feel. It's good that the midwife flagged it with you though as now you are aware of it x

@AMM86 hi! Welcome to the thread. I've been getting stomach/belly pains on and off all the time, at first it felt like period pain but it has ramped up this week and now feels more gastric?! I may ring gp tomorrow as I just want to check but I don't think there's necessarily a reason to worry, if you are though ring your gp or midwife! It is better to be safe but I am one of these people that "doesn't like bothering" doctors. so I have to get over that I think..!

I have also had a sore throat today so think I may have either got flu or a cold or something... this week hasn't been fun tbh and I'm really hoping this passes soon!

AMM86 · 22/09/2021 22:15

Thank you!!
I’ve just been looking up round ligament pain and that sounds like what it probably is! Still waiting for this call back though! X

spacemarine · 22/09/2021 23:24

@Aquarius1987 I've had no sickness at all, not even nausea. I've never been sick with my previous pg either.

I've booked a private scan but they can't fit me in for a few more weeks. I'm not too impatient to have one (I had early scans with my last pg which showed a heartbeat but didn't stop me losing the baby later so I don't feel it's actually reassuring).

Kay94 · 22/09/2021 23:38

Hi everyone, congratulations to you all! Hope it's okay if I can join. I have just found out 2 days ago that I am pregnant and approximate due date is 28th of May. I'm based in Wimbledon. I've been off birth control since November last year although not actively trying this month. Very excited and happy

So far I've had a couple of twinges/mild cramps and pulling. I've also had quite a funny tummy and felt run down with cold like symptoms.

Very nervous about the whole pregnancy and keep worrying something bad will happen... can't wait to get to the second trimester. Will be great to chat!

AMM86 · 23/09/2021 06:48

@Kay94 sounds similar to me! We’re not too far away in Sidcup. Only found out on Sunday and think I’m due around May 25th.
I’ve had exactly the same symptoms but the pulls and twinges fo panic me! Congratulations :) x

Etonmess20 · 23/09/2021 07:09

@AMM86 you're really close to me, I'm in Welling!!

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 23/09/2021 07:37

@AMM86 we are practically next door to each other, I’m Chislehurst!

Kay94 · 23/09/2021 07:48

@AMM86 how exciting, not far at all! Will be great to keep each other posted on how we get on. Still can't quite wrap my head around it!

Emily199034 · 23/09/2021 09:20

Morning guys.

I'm 7 weeks today and for the past few days I've had brown discharge when I wipe. I've googled it and it says it can be normally in early pregnancy, but doesn't help me stop worrying ha.

Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks xx

xxhayzxx89 · 23/09/2021 09:30

I am due May 2022 with baby number 2 :) I found out last Saturday, completely unplanned as my first baby is only 14 months old and we were planning to start trying again next summer! But things happen for a reason I guess :) Congrats to you all.
