@KMHH @aNewYorkerInLondon thank you so much for the reassurance. I feel so powerless and pathetic so it does help to hear others have struggled and that it will get better!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 01/11/2021 07:22

@PairofPears, 24/7, without rest or a break, you are making a human being. As unpleasant as it can be sometimes, you are the exact opposite of how you've been feeling. You are powerful and awe inspiring!

TashieWoo · 01/11/2021 07:35

Hi, I’m only on here on and off, and only just make the group as my dating scan last week confirmed I was due on 1st May! I’m 14+1 today, first pregnancy.

My sickness was never awful but I did feel sick, had food aversions and felt more tired than ever before. But my energy is definitely coming back, and I am finding it easier to concentrate at work again etc. I hope you all start to feel better soon and I know I have been very lucky to escape actual sickness, I’ve just felt a bit sick.

I think the baby must be moving up as I’m getting indigestion now and can’t eat big meals, I’m taking rennie which helps. I also can’t have raw onion or garlic anymore as it makes me feel awful!

Do any of you have little bumps yet! My stomach is definitely rounder and harder, but I haven’t ‘popped’ yet.

cloudpopbump · 01/11/2021 07:55

I think I popped at about 7-8 weeks lol. My bump is pretty huge already and I'm not quite 12 weeks yet, I can only wear mat trousers now, there's absolutely no hiding it. I could easily pass for 20+weeks pregnant.

Vomiting has got worse, ended up in hospital last week. So so fed up and worried about being so fed up so early as I know I'm in for the long haul.

Pgp has also started (it's a barrel of laughs over here), I was in pain walking up the stairs yesterday.. I'll be on the phone to get physio sorted today, not that'll it'll make any difference.

Scan is this week, love seeing all your photos, need to keep the baby at the front of my thoughts. Eyes on the prize.

fattycatty82 · 01/11/2021 08:40

@cloudpopbump although I've had moments of feeling very happy I've generally felt down the last few weeks but I do think early pregnancy is just a bit of a rubbish time, especially for those of us suffering with sickness and exhaustion. The uncertainty and secrecy doesn't help either. So I know where you're coming from. I've suffered from bouts of depression in the past and although I've been in a much better place the last few years I do sometimes worry that the hormones and stress of it all will take me back there, but one day at a time... trying to keep up my exercise to boost my mood too xxx

We told our close family yesterday, a week before hitting the 12 week mark, but it was a huge relief for me as I hate keeping things from people. Am starting to tell friends too. Work can wait for now, not ready to drop that bombshell yet!

Wishing everyone a happy puke free Monday! 😊

GinnyBee · 01/11/2021 09:31

So yesterday I definitely regretted my gym visit on Saturday haha, as I was deathly tired all day! Started with a headache in the morning, which disappeared when I had a nap after lunch, then dragged myself out with hubby to get some groceries and walk the dog which felt healthy at the time, but as soon as I got back home I could barely move from the sofa again! Went to bed at 8pm, woke up at 7am and feel much better now!

One week to go until my 12-week scan! I will probably tell work shortly after, as well as message the friends who I haven't yet told. And my mum! She lives in a different country and has had a stressful time lately with my alcoholic brother and some ongoing health issues, so I haven't told her yet in case I miscarry again, she know about my other two losses and I don't want to worry her. She's forever the pessimist and prone to catastrophising!

GinnyBee · 01/11/2021 09:36

Oh, I've no visible bump yet, just bloat. Which actually had gone down yesterday which was nice, I felt like my normal self on that front instead of a lazy fat lump like I've been feeling for weeks 🤣

At my booking in appointment I also discovered I'd shrunk 2cm and gained about 5kg! So I'm now somehow teetering on the edge of overweight whilst wearing size 10 clothing... I mean, I don't even own scales for this reason, but that has just proven again what a load of nonsense BMI can be!

fattycatty82 · 01/11/2021 11:02

@GinnyBee BMI is such nonsense! I weight lift so carry some muscle and was also told I'm just over with my BMI... I'm definitely not overweight even with a little growing pot belly! They also weighed me at the hospital with my big winter boots and coat on! Yes I've managed the gym once every couple of days as I'm wiped after too

Minster2012 · 01/11/2021 11:06

No bump here! And 11 weeks tomorrow

Feeling like 💩 today though I think that might be down to my Covid booster on Friday so it's a chill day sending emails & sorting admin for me

LemonSwan · 01/11/2021 12:41

@fattycatty82

Wishing everyone a happy puke free Monday! 😊

OMG thank you so much!!!!!!!! So far I haven't had my morning puking session and I am over the moon.

Your well wishes have jumped the internet ether

Nearly 14 weeks now! Please may this be the end of the MS

GinnyBee · 01/11/2021 12:58

@fattycatty82 yeah same, I do CrossFit and am quite petite, but with muscle. I find it hilarious that I can be almost overweight.

fattycatty82 · 01/11/2021 13:40

@LemonSwan I'm so pleased for you! Fingers crossed the worst is over

@GinnyBee I'm a CrossFitter too! I was going 5 times a week now i'm managing 2-3 times but I'm determined to keep going to the end! 💪

GinnyBee · 01/11/2021 15:15

@fattycatty82 I was going 5 times a week a few years ago but then I got a more physical job and dropped down to 2-3. Over lockdown I struggled as I have limited space and equipment at home, and now with this pregnancy I haven't done almost anything except walking the dog and that physical job still. I feel so flabby now haha! But I intend to keep training through this pregnancy as soon as I get energy back again as currently I can only really dream of going once a week on a good week 🙈

fattycatty82 · 01/11/2021 15:49

@GinnyBee good for you though anything is better than nothing. I can't see myself doing box jumps and burpees once I get bigger to be honest 🤣 these days surviving work and staying awake past 8pm is an achievement in itself

hwp22 · 01/11/2021 16:30

Thanks everyone. ❤️❤️
The enormity of it all is Starting to sink in!

My god…all this talk of CrossFit and burpees, I feel tired just thinking about doing exercise! Today I went for a 40 min walk and it’s absolutely wiped me out - been to bed for the afternoon! 😴 so hope I have more energy after the 12 week mark as I miss long walks and having energy to do well ‘anything’ really! 😅 xx

GinnyBee · 01/11/2021 16:37

@fattycatty82 one of our box members had a baby just as lockdown started, so I saw her regularly at the box. Obviously had to make modifications like step-ups instead of box jumps and no burpees or sit ups, but she was keeping up really well! I want to be her when I grow up 🤣

@hwp22 yep, the most I've done foe 5 weeks is walk the dog which is necessary, if it wasn't I would have skipped several of those strolls, and trying to do my job which has been quite physical on a few days, but mostly swapped for gentler tasks. My other job is thankfully sitting in an office.

Bubbasmama2017 · 01/11/2021 17:42

Had my scan today and all is looking good, I'm due a day earlier than my dates so 11th may Smile very pleased we can tell a few more people now!

PairofPears · 01/11/2021 18:26

That’s great news @Bubbasmama2017 😍

Etonmess20 · 01/11/2021 19:48

@Bubbasmama2017 congratulations!!

TashieWoo · 01/11/2021 21:15

It’s such a lovely feeling isn’t it @Bubbasmama2017, glad all went well Smile

fattycatty82 · 02/11/2021 11:59

@Bubbasmama2017 congratulations 👏 🤗

Anyone else feeling pants today? Thought I was over the sickness hell but it's come back with a vengeance... not taken any time off work yet but today might be the day 🤢😩

Bubbasmama2017 · 02/11/2021 12:32

@fattycatty82 I got cocky and thought I was feeling much better then threw up my breakfast immediately after eating it! Feeling quite sick but the tiredness seems to be fading luckily hope you're feeling better soon!

EJLM · 02/11/2021 13:41

so exciting all the scans and everyone feeling better sorry to those still suffering :( I'm starting to feel more hungry but still don't fancy anything which is very annoying!

I had my scan last weds I have been moved forward a day to EDD 6th May. is anyone going to find our gender we didn't with our first but would like to this time ? xx

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 02/11/2021 16:14

14w1d here and still really sick! When will it ever end? I felt slightly better over the weekend but was sick as soon as I got up this morning. It’s the all day nausea that’s killing me. I had it until 16 weeks with my first and 22 weeks(!) with my second 😱

I have a small bump but it is my third so everything is already stretched 😂

cloudpopbump · 02/11/2021 16:26

@EJLM we're planning on finding out the gender. We did last time round and although I was initially against it (hubby wanted to know) I'm glad we did. I think it helped me bond with the baby while pregnant. Some people like to wait for the surprise but I think whenever you find out it's still a surprise x
