@StinWom you'll have to let me know how it goes, mine isn't until 15th October which feels like ages away!!

Sarah239 · 20/09/2021 14:23
@Sarah239 Hey I have ibs and had an upset stomach last night I've googled it and it's just hormones and if you have a sensitive stomach then the hormones changing won't help. When am hungry or feel sick I eat and just snack rather than big meals xx
@haz452 thank you! always reassuring to know someone else having similar symptoms x

aNewYorkerInLondon · 20/09/2021 14:25

Hey ladies! Just a reminder that we are all eligible now for our flu shots. I've just gotten my appointment set with my GP. They're saying this flu season is going to be a nasty one!

EmilyMay89 · 20/09/2021 14:29

One of my friends asked me if I was pregnant on Saturday night, I was designated driver which is very unlike me 😂 but she has just told me that one of our other friends is expecting late March. I feel happier knowing I'll have a friend on maternity and she is second time mum so hopefully she'll take me under her wing a bit!

Hope91 · 20/09/2021 15:58

@Sarah239 I have got a really upset stomach today too… google says this can be normal with the hormone changes so really hoping that’s right hope you are okay xx

Sarah239 · 20/09/2021 16:02

@Hope91 oh poor you! Yeah it feels like it, I can't really think of anything that would have given me food poisoning or anything else to explain it

Feeling a bit rubbish today... but hopefully it will improve slightly...maybe?! Just grateful to be wfh!

Hope you feel better soon too x

LeeRainbow · 20/09/2021 16:12

Hi all i hope you don't mind me joining EDD is 8th May 2022 currently 7w1d had two previous losses, one mmc 12.5 weeks found at our scan and other miscarriage at 6 weeks, so we have booked a early private scan for 2nd October where will be 8w6d, just taking one day at a time and looking forward but also nervous and anxious for my scan. but hoping see our healthy, happy jelly beans heart beating away. xx

Aquarius1987 · 20/09/2021 16:21

Hi All,

I have my blood tests tomorrow, does anyone know if I need to fast for these? X

Hope91 · 20/09/2021 16:48

@msunflower thinking of you how did it go? X

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 20/09/2021 16:51

No you won’t need to fast @Aquarius1987. Only for a glucose tolerance test later on (if you need one)

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 20/09/2021 16:52

When I say later on I mean later on in the pregnancy I think I had mine at 28 weeks or so the last 2 times

msunflower · 20/09/2021 16:54

Have to wait until later this evening as my husband is in the office so it's the latest one they had. Trying not to count down the hours - will update you once I can!

Aquarius1987 · 20/09/2021 16:55

@msunflower - frustrating as it is to wait all day, it is so nice that you were able to get an evening appointment so that your husband can join you! We're with you in spirit too!

ninadust · 20/09/2021 17:20

Woaa, 8 weeks today and the tiredness has hit like BAM! Anyone else? How's everyone's symptoms? Xx

Thank you! Trying to keep busy until scan time now!

Elsie2021 · 20/09/2021 17:43

@LeeRainbow Welcome! I, like you, had bad news at my 12 week scan also. Baby had stopped growing at 11 weeks. Miscarriage takes all the excitement out of it doesn’t it. Can’t wait to get past that scan but also feeling blessed every day to be pregnant. Best of luck xx

5 weeks today and I woke up feeling really dizzy and sick. Didn’t last long though and I’ve been fine all day. Wonder if it’s a sign of things to come though

MrsSE · 20/09/2021 18:08

Hi again everyone,
6+3 and the symptoms have well and truly hit- feeling awful!!!! Nausea, headache, congested nose so zero sleep because I can hardly breathe- now I’m starting to wonder if I’ve got flu on top of it. I have my midwife appt tomorrow though, and reading the comments above my husband has booked the day off as he is so excited to come to a baby appointment bless him- i’m sure he will find it boring in the end. I asked on the phone when I was booked in and they said partners are allowed, I really hope he is tomorrow otherwise it will be such a disappointment for him!! Im also rhesus negative do will need the injections- although I’m sure the nhs website said it’s at 8 months so ages away!!! We also have our scan on Wednesday which is so exciting! Praying every day for a healthy baby and heartbeat 🥰

LS2020 · 20/09/2021 18:57

@MrsSE this is exactly what I’m feeling like - had to take two days off work because I’m struggling so much after a week of feeling like that (I’m 7 weeks today). Doctors put me on meds because I’m sick from morning sickness and then coughing so much from cold, making myself throw up again. It’s horrid!

My hospital has been so strict through IVF, been allowed no partner or anything and he was allowed in for my scan last week so he should deffo be allowed in ☺️

EllJ · 20/09/2021 19:28

Hi everyone, congratulations!

I'm glad to have found my people! I'm 5+1 today so expecting around 22nd may, this will be my first.

I've felt a little nausea on and off, but my main symptoms right now are massive painful boobs and a ridiculously unquenchable thirst. My ice lolly consumption is through the roof Grin
I haven't called my doctor to register with midwife yet as I'm a little anxious about that (the receptionist at my surgery is an absolute dragon!) Does anyone know what the earliest time they'll allow registration in Scotland is?

msunflower · 20/09/2021 21:22

Just back from the scan and happy to say that everything is looking well! Baby is in the right place and size and all looks healthy Smile

aNewYorkerInLondon · 20/09/2021 21:32

@msunflower!! I'm so happy to hear your good news! It's just the best feeling ever, isn't it?!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 20/09/2021 21:34

Hi @EllJ! Welcome! This is my first too. I've found these ladies to be super supportive and amazing in good days and anxious days alike.

msunflower · 20/09/2021 21:50

I'm so delighted and relieved, we even got to see a heartbeat!!

Sarah239 · 20/09/2021 22:07

Hi @EllJ ! I am also 5+1, due May 22nd or thereabouts :) welcome! I haven't told my go yet either but planning too soon, all being well! 🤞
