@autumn321 yeah I had my first midwife appointment over a week ago and she sent off for the scan then I think but I still haven’t received anything just worried as I should be 12 weeks next weekend and if I haven’t even received a letter yet it not going to be for a couple of weeks again

Zibidee · 28/10/2021 14:05

Can you follow up with the midwife you saw? I got my letter for the booking appointment and the scan at the same time.

nuttella1 · 28/10/2021 16:29

I'm just curious if anyone here has no pregnancy symptoms at all and find first trimester a bliss? 😂
I'm so done feeling nauseous! 🤣

EastMidsGem · 28/10/2021 16:47

Had scan this afternoon and all was good. Measuring 13 weeks and 3 days, estimated due date of 2nd May!

@EastMidsGem how lovely!! Pleased for you. You must be relieved 😌

@nuttella1 I don't think anyone will admit to that 😂 I'd be very jealous!! 🤢

YummyMummyXoX · 28/10/2021 16:51

@EastMidsGem so lovely to hear all is well take care of yourself x

hwp22 · 28/10/2021 17:00

@robyna - My current favourite anti -nausea snacks are apples and plain salted crisps....especially Pringles! oh not heard that before about feeling really bad just before placenta takes over...interesting!

@fattycatty82 I'm slightly concerned too...haha! All I seem to do is eat all day!! i'm not normally much of a snacker!
Yesterday straight after work I went to bed for a nap as I was so exhausted....with a tube of Pringles! eeeeep!

fattycatty82 · 28/10/2021 17:03

@hwp22 🤣🤣 I'm all about the savoury too... yum Pringles... I've heard that means you're having a boy! And a sweet tooth for a girl. Sure that's a load of rubbish but you never know 🤷‍♀️

Sarah239 · 28/10/2021 18:06

@nuttella1 I think it's swings and roundabouts because I have felt completely normal since 9 weeks (only tired and weeing a lot and boobs a bit sore) and now that my symptoms have vanished I'm anxious something is wrong! So I'm grateful not to be feeling awful but sort of wish I felt different to normal still?! I really can't imagine there is something inside me that is growing and apparently 4cm big and I feel completely normal - it's bonkers, isn't it!
I have had lots of people saying it is normal for symptoms to fade as placenta takes over so guess I just have to hope nothing is wrong and I'm just lucky with symptoms!

AMM86 · 28/10/2021 18:08

Having fun reading up on the forum this evening! I’m in with the ready salted crisps club!!! And ice lollies are helping me when I feel all that saliva from the nausea. Me and hubby went for a walk at 7pm in the cold last night with me eating an ice lolly! Got some looks Blush .

My boss at work said she had no sickness at all in her pregnancy. I literally wanted to scream at her - I’ve been so sick!!! My doctor prescribed me some tablets that helped a bit, then it got worse again so I’m on something new, which is better but makes me SO tired!! Still vomited twice this morning. I’m currently on two breakfasts as I tend to wake up early, be sick and then need to eat, then go back to bed and repeat!!!

Last night I experienced my first bout of irritability, but think that was down to the tiredness to be honest. But the stuffy nose… jeez it is driving me mad!!! I blow and blow and blow, then sit down and it’s all blocked again. I’ve been reading up on it and it says it will disappear after birth! I’m so grateful to be pregnant but I feel unlucky with all my symptoms! Anyone else been similar? I’m 10+1

Sarah239 · 28/10/2021 18:08

Congratulations @EastMidsGem ! Going by my last scan, I will be at 13+3 for my next scan too!

GinnyBee · 28/10/2021 18:20

Congrats @EastMidsGem !

My scan was perfect today too! Little blob is measuring a good few days ahead! Last time it was two days ahead and now caught up even more and is 5 days ahead measuring 11+2!

I had my booking appointment on the same trip too, and we couldn't get my Badger Notes working. The mw gave me my login code but it just wouldn't accept it. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought it might be because I already had a login with the same email from my previous pregnancy, but when I log in I can't add the new pregnancy with the code either.

Jojo7979 · 28/10/2021 18:39

Congrats @EastMidsGem I had my scan today as well, I’m measuring 12+2 so have a due date of 10 May. Baby was properly bouncing around so the photos are a bit blurry!

Bubbasmama2017 · 28/10/2021 18:57

@GinnyBee I'm not familiar with badger notes what are they?

Bubbasmama2017 · 28/10/2021 18:59

@Jojo7979 lovely! I think we might be due date buddies as when I went for an early scan they dated me as 10th may have to wait til Monday and see what the official NHS one says

Hayleycoo82 · 28/10/2021 19:25

Hi everyone due 29/05/22

EastMidsGem · 28/10/2021 19:41

@GinnyBee and @Jojo7979 glad both of yours went well too. I feel so relieved now. Going to start telling more people this weekend

My nausea has really faded quite a lot in the last week. Still sick maybe once a day which is much better. Still all about the carbs and salty beige foods. Hoping the 2nd trimester makes me feel like having some more fruit and veg again! I’m already plenty overweight so need to get some good food in me

EastMidsGem · 28/10/2021 19:42

@Sarah239@ When is your next scan? I seem to be a bit ahead of most of you

Jojo7979 · 28/10/2021 20:07

@Bubbasmama2017 it will be interesting to see the date the NHS scan give you. With my first I ended up a whole week earlier than I had thought, this baby is just a couple of days earlier than I thought based on dates. Although I ended up being 12 days late with my first and am anticipating the same with this one 🤦‍♀️

aNewYorkerInLondon · 28/10/2021 23:25

@Jojo7979, so maybe you were right with the first one after all and baby was just 5 days late, not 12?

They've moved my due date two days earlier and I asked, "could you not?" I just fear moving that date where they'll start to pressure for an induction if I go over, even if they're only moving it by two days.

They kept the earlier date now, so it's the 4th rather than the 6th. I hope baby does NOT come on May the 4th or else he'll be subjected to irritating star wars puns forever.

FateHasRedesignedMost · 29/10/2021 05:18

Another vote for Pringles! And medications (I’m on metaclopramide and ondansetron for HG, which reduce the vomiting but don’t help the nausea much).

Re the scan appointment, my midwife booked mine whilst on the phone doing the booking in appointment then sent a letter via Badger Notes App. And she booked the bloods and BP, height and weight checks etc for a weekend antenatal clinic (also whilst on the phone).

Sarah239 · 29/10/2021 07:27

@EastMidsGem my scan is 12th November, 2 weeks today... the wait is killing me! By LMP I will be 12+5 but by a private scan I had I will be 13+3. At least both those are within the correct timeframe...

EastMidsGem · 29/10/2021 07:36

@Sarah239 Mine was exactly the same, by LMP yesterday I should have been 12+5 but measured at 13+3. I found it really dragged too until scan day! It’s worth the wait in the end though

fattycatty82 · 29/10/2021 09:11

@Sarah239 my scan is also Nov 12th and should be 12+5, due date May 22. It's such a long wait seems like forever

DreamJG · 29/10/2021 09:55

My 12 week (12,2 today) scan is today and I’m absolutely terrified. Like complete panic mode. I’m 38 and just think they will automatically put me at high risk. I have already done the nipt test on Tuesday and waiting results and that’s also completely terrifying. Can they tell you today by looking and measurements if everything is ok or will I have to wait for them to do bloods as well and then tell me next week? Just would like to know what to expect xx
