I feel the same, last pregnancy I was sick from 4 weeks and this time I don’t feel pregnant at all except a bit of bloating! Never wished for sickness so much 😂

Celina - I had brown spotting twice in this pregnancy and all’s going well so far, i know it’s easy to worry though, I hope your scan goes well Friday.

Cartref30 · 29/08/2021 18:58

@Celina94 this is my first pregnancy but I have read that brown discharge can be nothing to worry about - easier said than done I know! Hoping all goes ok.

I had only done my original tests until today but today I caved - 4+5 I think but had this! Not sure if that’s early or normal.

My jobs on Tuesday are to change address with my dr which I hadn’t got round to doing then self refer for midwife. We are also going to ring about an 8 week private scan but haven’t fully decided yet. I think I’ll need it reassurance wise!

Hi everyone, can I join? Due on 4th May. 3rd child. I found out 2 days ago. We have been trying for 14 months so we can't believe it has happened and I am worried in case it doesn't work out. Same as everyone I guess.

Celina94 · 29/08/2021 19:50

Thank you so much girls for the reassurance I am feeling a bit better now and the tears have stopped. Just going to wait for Fridays scan and keeping my fingers crossed. Thank u so much!! Hope you are all doing good! ❤️

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 29/08/2021 22:19

Welcome @Alexand23 we have the same due date and it is also my third child! Congratulations.

Glad you are feeling better @Celina94 not too long to wait for your scan now.

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 09:04

@Celina94 hope your feeling better it's never nice to see blood at this stage but I know so many who have bleed there entire pregnancy and now have healthy happy baby as the others said brown blood is good as it's old be aware for anything fresh. It's always worrying and we're here if you need Xx

Due May 22
maymum94 · 30/08/2021 09:33

@haz452 I'm due the day after you welcome and I have a scan booked for 13 sept I'll be almost 7weeks last time at 6 weeks they picked up the heartbeat for me so going at it optimistically.

haz452 · 30/08/2021 09:36

@maymum94 Awww that's exciting! This is my first baby so I don't have a clue! I will maybe book a private scan about then just to reassure me that everything is fine 13 weeks is to long. My midwife app next week said would be about an hour what do they do at the app? Thanks x

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 09:44

@haz452 I know waiting until 12/13 weeks feels so long this is my second pregnancy and fingers crossed second baby. I had my first in the first lockdown so not too long ago.

haz452 · 30/08/2021 09:49

@maymum94 Yeh I will have a look at private scans just now to try and get one booked Smile

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 09:50

@haz452 a few of us have already booked I went with window to the womb as there they closest to me. Think it was £79 for it the early scans are the most expensive and they may do an internal scan not on the belly to pick up the HB

haz452 · 30/08/2021 09:54

@maymum94 Thank you will have a look now! Smile

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 10:09

@haz452 depending on where you are you may have other companies as well quick Google search will tell you what ones are close by.

It's so exciting so many of us joining now. Can't wait to share this experience with you all 🥰

@maymum94 I think it's Livingston for me and I am in Edinburgh so will maybe get one closer to Edinburgh. I know it's so exciting there's a few of us Smile

haz452 · 30/08/2021 11:26

@maymum94 Have you had any symptoms yet? X

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 11:29

@EmilyMay89 welcome and congratulations

@haz452 yeah I've had major nausea and vomiting already last time I suffered with hyperemesis until the day I gave birth with many hospitals trips for iv drip rehydration I'm hoping this time won't be like that but it's a rough start already the sickness is horrendous at the moment I've barely left bed all weekend.

We're going with baby moments and it is also £79. Ours is booked for 25th September when I'll be 8 weeks 3 days

kjcar · 30/08/2021 12:05

Hi all! Joining this as I'm 4 weeks with my first pregnancy. Getting a lot of cramps - no bleeding, but nervous as everyone is. I think I will book an early scan as hoping it will give some reassurance. The hardest thing for me is trying to hide that I'm not drinking!

haz452 · 30/08/2021 12:12

@kjcar I have been having cramps as well with no bleeding but it seems to be normal. Am 5 weeks tomorrow so just a week ahead off you! Also going to get a scan done early not waiting 13 weeks to long x

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 12:13

@kjcar welcome to club and congratulations. Maybe try order non alcoholic or if at home but some non alcoholic wines or ciders which can easily fool people otherwise biggest excuse. I'm still so hammered from last night 😂

Welcome @haz452, @EmilyMay89 & @kjcar! Lovely to have so many people on the thread now.

Re: scans Im not sure if I will have one this time but I would advise waiting as long as your patience will allow. In my first pregnancy I had one at 7+3 and we saw the flickering heartbeat but it really wasn’t clear and I struggled to see anything other than a fuzzy blob. I went back for another one at just under 9 weeks as all my symptoms stopped and I panicked and could see a proper little baby outline, waving his little arms on the screen.

maymum94 · 30/08/2021 13:15

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat your right about the scans when we went we did see the heart it but she was just this small blob Flickering away. Few weeks later at our next we couldn't believe she was a full baby like. It's kind of nice to see the early scan and then what they change into so quickly but can definitely cause worry.

Got my BFP yesterday so I think I’d be due around the 17th of May. How is everyone doing with the anxiety? I feel like I’m terrified something is gonna go wrong and I’m only one day in. It’s gonna be a long 9 months!
