@Northofthebordermum, I'm so sorry. Please take good care of yourself and ask for help if you need it.

@AllyCat31, that is very true indeed.

Positive21 · 23/09/2021 14:02

So sorry to hear that @Northofthebordermum. Make sure you take care of yourself 💕

Positive21 · 23/09/2021 14:03

Going by my last period I should be due the 21st of May. Had a scan and they couldnt see the sac only my endometrium thickening so may be earlier then the dates show. Have a scan next week to check all is okay

GinnyBee · 01/10/2021 09:53

Morning all,

Carefully joining in here. I'm 6+5 today and had an early scan yesterday where everything was looking as it should. Tentative due date from LMP is 22 May.

But as I have two losses behind me in the last year, both around the 8-9 week mark, I'll hold off on planning any baby showers just yet. But I'm silently hopeful. With my first pregnancy the fetus was measuring two weeks behind in my early scan and although we saw a heartbeat I got worried anyway. With my second we didn't go to the scan until later to avoid that disappointment and found a fetus measuring around 8+ without heartbeat.

My next scan is in two weeks' time, so if that one is still looking good I may give myself permission to relax a little as we will then be further along than before.

How are you all doing today? Thank god it's Friday, right?! I've been feeling ok until this week and now been getting gradually worse each day. Dreading how I'm gettiong through a full day in the office today.

All my symptoms have gotten worse over the last few days 😔 hopefully scan turns out ok next week

@JarlaMae Did they scan you internally or just on top of your tummy? I've usually had to have internal scans this early as I have a slightly tilted uterus and it's just so early to see through the tummy, and your bowel might get in the way too. Yesterday however the sonographer by some miracle was able to get a decent view off the top, but she wasn't able to see both ovaries as my bowel was in the way.

Welcome, @GinnyBee! That sounds like a really stressful go. You're in the right place. These ladies have been amazingly helpful. We're all hoping that everything goes well for you this time!

Hi @JarlaMae, I hope things are more bearable today!

They did both on top and internally. I have a tilted uterus and forgot to tell them so maybe that is why they couldn't see much

Hi @JarlaMae, I hope things are more bearable today!

Most days are the same with my symptoms.... Night times when I feel the worse :(
BabyBubbles1 · 02/10/2021 09:33

Hi ladies, I hope its ok yo join. I've been veru cautious with pregnancy as its taken years to conceive. I've had my 12 week scan and only 10+6 but also intestines not returned to abdomen- which is late! Im trying not to worry and use Google Doc but finding it hard. Has anyone had or heard of intestines returning to abdomen late?

Jowd92 · 02/10/2021 12:58

7w tomorrow and was only saying the past few days I really didn’t feel pregnant due to lack of symptoms then today the sickness has started oh dear not good with 2 toddlers to also handle and 2 older finally got a mw appointment for 2 weeks time how’s everyone else feeling

siobhx · 02/10/2021 13:01

Hi
My 13 week old baby is still waking every 2 hours at night anyone have any tips to make him sleep longer ?

AllyCat31 · 03/10/2021 14:03

Hey, how is everyone?
Thankfully no other scares here. Had a private scan too and little bean did 8days of growing in 6! Which probably explains why I’d been really sick last week. Feel a bit better this weekend.

How was your day in the office @GinnyBee I have one this week and I am dreading it! Any tips welcome. Thankfully I’ve told my manager but just don’t want anyone else to know or think I’m being lazy!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 03/10/2021 15:04

Hi @GinnyBee - how was the office? Like @AllyCat31, I have to go in this week, Monday and Friday, and I'm dreading giving myself away! My manager already knows, but I don't want colleagues to know quite yet!

Ramafon · 04/10/2021 07:39

May 24th! Expecting my second in North London

AllyCat31 · 06/10/2021 17:31

Quick update on the office - thankfully it was very quiet so I could munch away to keep my nausea at bay. Also sickness bands have really helped the last few weeks.
I had my midwife appointment which was so long!
I hope everyone is well. I guess it’s normal for this thread to be quiet now as we’re all just trying to get to 12 weeks

aNewYorkerInLondon · 06/10/2021 19:13

My office day on Monday was a disaster. I'd forgotten how the overhead lights give me such a headache. Well, by the time I walked out at ten after five, it was a full blown migraine. I was in bed from quarter to six on Monday evening until 6:20 this morning. I was scared to use my prescription so I took four half doses of paracetamol over that 36 hour span. It finally did the trick and I was ok, but f*, that sucked. I'm going to take my bucket sun hat with me to work from now on to shield myself from the lights. I don't care how it looks.
