I'm so pleased to round out the afternoon with more good news! 7 weeks, 1-2 days, and so far things are as they should be. What a relief! (Yolk sac on the left, embryo on the right). We saw the heart beat! It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!

Positive21 · 18/09/2021 17:34

Oh I am so so happy for you ladies! Keeping a fingers tightly crossed for good news for everyone 💕

Agnitio · 18/09/2021 17:44

Wonderful to see these scans! I'm going for one on Thursday at 6+2 with Ultrasound Direct just to make sure it's not an ectopic as I've read through far too many patient notes with tubal ectopics this week and my anxiety had gone through the roof.

The fatigue is hitting me the hardest, god I miss my caffeine. Replaced my coffee with Barleycup and can barely taste the difference which is great but missing that caffeine hit!

Cartref30 · 18/09/2021 18:48

@MrsSE I’m a teacher too. Eating as regularly as possible is helping me, so just before kids arrive, break, lunch, as soon as they leave. I’m eating breakfast biscuits, salt and vinegar rice cakes, have sweets (‘cough’ sweets!) and fill my water bottle up with ginger squash and icy cold water.
I haven’t been awful yet but also have accepted that I may need to tell my TA if needed. Also layers so I can adjust if I get too hot! It’s hard though, very hard!!

maymum94 · 18/09/2021 18:54

@aNewYorkerInLondon I'm so happy for you so glad all the scans are going well ladies so happy your hearing those heart beats ♥️

Hi everyone, I don’t know if you have looked at what I have wrote above but I was very nervous and I won’t lie, I’ve become very very depressed overnight. It’s took a toll on me. Me and my partner cried and cried together as we both didn’t know what to do but we made the decision to book an appointment to abort our baby. I feel so guilty because we both wanted this so bad but we’re not ready, especially after my partner losing his mother and me losing my mother in law. I hope you all don’t judge but this was a very hard decision and me and my partner are heartbroken. I’m just scared that in the future when we feel ready again, it won’t happen 😢 I feel so guilty but I know I wouldn’t be able to cope being pregnant right now :(

LS2020 · 19/09/2021 07:15

It’s been so lovely to see everyone’s scans, so glad everyone is doing well ☺️
I’m plodding on, sickness is kicking me this week but finding helping before bed and when I wake up helps a lot. I’ve lost my voice from my sickness though which sucks :( been 3 days now and no hint of it returning. To cheer myself up I spent £200 on baby and maternity clothes last night 😂 Haven’t told the OH 😬

@CatLady345 sorry to hear you’ve been feeling very down. At the end of the day, you’ve got to what’s best for you and it sounds like you’ve made that decision. If you find your moods don’t improve or that depression doesn’t go away - please speak with your GP or reach out to the Samaritans, there’s lots of good resources online to offer support.

@Agnitio will you let me know how you find them? There’s on here in Leeds and finding it hard to pick a private scan place for some reason!!

@aNewYorkerInLondon so chuffed for you ❤️

RosettaTheGardenFairy · 19/09/2021 08:10

@Hope91 & @aNewYorkerInLondon - lovely news from you both Smile

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat - yes we'll be doing a gender scan too so I can spend a few weeks bigging up baby sisters or baby brothers as required. I'm glad that they're still at a manipulable age Wink

I've woken up today with much milder nausea; torn between being nervous my symptoms aren't as strong, and wanting to enjoy the reprieve while it lasts.

Good luck to everyone who has scans/appointments this week xx

aNewYorkerInLondon · 19/09/2021 08:41

@RosettaTheGardenFairy, the lessened symptoms was the reason I finally booked an early scan and it was such a relief. The wonderful lady who did my scan says she hears of symptoms coming and going all the time and the baby is still ok. I think on my days of less symptoms I'm going to concentrate on eating as much veg as I can, because I definitely don't want any on my nauseous days!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 19/09/2021 08:47

@LS2020, I haven't actually "checked out" yet, but I've added so much shipping to online carts over the past few days! I have a wedding of a very close friend to go to when I'll be 33 weeks along - I'm already eyeing some beautiful dresses at Seraphine! Lol!

LS2020 · 19/09/2021 08:57

@aNewYorkerInLondon omg I love the dresses at Seraphine! I got some tights from there last week (had an irrational fear my tights would restrict my tummy) and they’re ace. I haven’t bought anything from there yet though as a bit expensive so just want a few key pieces. They do a hoody which works for pregnancy and then you can have a baby carrier under it and that’s top of my Xmas list 😂

LS2020 · 19/09/2021 08:59

@RosettaTheGardenFairy mine have been up and down all week - yesterday I did a full presentation at work with only a touch of dizziness and no sickness and today I couldn’t even get toast down! I vote enjoy the reprieve!

EmilyMay89 · 19/09/2021 08:59

@LS2020 I'm struggling with the bloat so I might do a bit of shopping today! The bloat will turn to bump at some point!

Sarah239 · 19/09/2021 09:42

I am 5 weeks today, no nausea yet but I am getting tummy pain/cramps (feels just like when my period is coming) and my stomach has been a bit upset the last day or so... anyone else?

It's the cramps that scare me when it feels like my period is about to start. Do you feel like that too?

I do have a sensitive stomach so I wonder if I'll get that over morning sickness.... or both!

2 weeks today til we could get a scan. I am telling my family today too 🤞❤️

maymum94 · 19/09/2021 10:31

@CatLady345 I'm so sorry to hear that you've made that decision. This early stages of pregnancy are very strange you honestly don't know what to do with yourself. I'd suggest another good talk with your partner and really make sure that what you want to do if it is we're here to support you. I'm sorry that your feeling like this but can u just say you may feel like this now and all the ups and downs on the way. I suffered with HG in my first pregnancy and I was at the point of wanting to abort because of how much I was suffering. I didn't see why I would put myself through the 9months of stress, sickness and it really took affect. We made the decision to keep going and I'm so glad I did I couldn't give up my girl for anything and we're back doing it a second time now. One thing I will say is pregnancy is much different to when you have that baby in your arms. They fit they feel right they are familiar. You know them, everything about them. It's a special moment meant that first time you hold your baby and it's much different to being pregnant. I stilll can't imagine that my daughter grew inside me when I sit watching her play around.

Like I said if you have made a final decision we're here to support you in any way you may need. Sending you so much love right now.

Thanks for all the good chat and absolute best of luck to you all xx

Jowd92 · 19/09/2021 10:57

I found out yesterday I have conceived whilst on the contraceptive pill I already had 4dc 12,9,3,and nearly 2 I didn’t want or plan to have any more babies I’m really struggling with a decision I did a test yesterday clearblue which said 2-3 I feel really a mess 5 children isn’t something I thought about I’m very much in shock and don’t know what the right decision will be as both options terrify me to do either :( really struggling

maymum94 · 19/09/2021 11:06

@RosettaTheGardenFairy I'm so sorry to hear wishing you all the best Xxx

@Jowd92 hey and congratulations. I'm sure a surprise wasn't want you were expecting on the pill. You could always look that it's a sign that your meant to have 5 that is a great number. This is another lady in the group that is on no 5/6 I think to but she may just be on the Facebook maybe you can connect and chat with her. I am personally one of 5 children and my parent did joke the wished they stopped at 3 but they also said they'd never go back there so glad for there but family. Just know whatever you decide we're here for you along the way. Xx

StinWom · 19/09/2021 13:43

I also just had my first scan, all good! Only one baby at the right place and with a strong heartbeat, we’re over the moon 😊 Only think is that I’m at 5-6 weeks instead of 7.5 so less along than I thought but it still means a due date in May! And that also explains why I didn’t get my 3+weeks on my Clearblue test when I was expecting it, which worried me quite a lot, so happy to finally understand why and to know everything is fine.

maymum94 · 19/09/2021 14:30

@StinWom so glad that your scan went well xx
