@Positive21 no no you didn’t make me anxious I meant like I am the same Googling everything :) I’m even anxious about being anxious. My dh has done the same told me not to google
But it’s to hard not to isn’t it! Aw thank you so much, I really hope so and that it maybe settles my nerves a little. How are you doing? X

CatLady345 · 18/09/2021 01:07

Hi everyone! Just found I’m pregnant today and it was a dye stealer. I’m due may 2022 and I’ve been trying for two years. I wanted this so bad but now that I am, I’m so scared. I feel so bad for feeling this way but me and my partner are petrified. A part of me wants to get an abortion because I don’t feel ready but I wanted this for so long and what if I can’t get it again. I don’t know what to do, I can’t stop crying. Someone please offer some advice 😢

Celina94 · 18/09/2021 04:57

@Hope91 hi! Morning sickness is still very testing - but this is my last week working - as I work for myself and it's a very demanding job physically (street food!) I have decided to take the next 3 weeks off just to rest and try to battle this sickness without having to log massive equipment around and have to smell all those gross smells of ANY food! & thank you so much!

Sorry to hear about your situation @Hope91 - but I am so glad you have an early scan too and I am very hopeful that everything will be fine and you'll be able to see your perfectly healthy little bean in the right place. I can only hope that your care becomes better as the pregnancy progresses. I sometimes get the feeling that drs/nurses etc. Don't care as much about early pregnancy as I expected (my first pregnancy) but I am just hoping they become more attentive/responsive when I actually begin to "look" pregnant. I can't wait for your scan pic though! You're in my thoughts xx

summertimes2021 · 18/09/2021 05:51

Morning all been mia a lot but I have been reading. Look at those lovely scans you all had. I can't wait to have mine later this morning.

I have been feeling super anxious and having lost of cramps but no bleeding. 7 weeks 3 days today. My family are laughing saying they think twins as I look so bloated 😂

Good luck to everyone else having scans today

concreterose31 · 18/09/2021 06:26

Hey Guys!

I'm a little late to the party but after 3 years of ttc finally got my BFP yesterday!
We had failed IVF in May and after all this time it's just happened naturally.

My AF was 9 days late but had been petrified to test as I had become sick and tired of seeing the single line!
My due date will be the 17th of May 2022!

Love reading everyone post and excited to share this journey with you all!

@CatLady345 Morning! Oh so sorry to hear you are going through this, we have also been ttc for 3 years and have only just got our bfp yesterday. I think we have been in such shock for the last 24 hours that we have gone through a whole range of emotions, it's so weird because I had always imagined that it would just be tears and happiness however the feeling of it being to good to be true and the fear of so many things can be overwhelming.

I would advise taking each day as it comes and trying to stay positive, that's what we have decided to do.

Positive21 · 18/09/2021 09:36

@Hope91 I k own knowledge is supposed to be a good thing but right now I'd rather be oblivious! Imagine only finding out at 9/10 weeks. Then the wait is far shorter 😂 I was looking back and tomorrow it's been 3 weeks since we've found out. I've still only told my best friend and my OH. Counting down the days to the scan! Everyone is getting there's now and it makes me so excited for everyone. It's such a beautiful thing and I am so happy there's such a wonderful bunch of supportive women in this thread (and on fb! I will start posting there once family know 😂)

@CatLady345 welcome! Don't feel bad for having those thoughts. It's a huge lifestyle change. Just remind yourself of how much you wanted this and the journey you've been on to get here xx

@summertimes2021 fingers crossed for later! 🥰

Welcome @concreterose31 too! Congratulations on your BFP 💕

Hope91 · 18/09/2021 10:07

@CatLady345 welcome. Sorry to hear you are feeling this way. A lot of us here are feeling overwhelmed and anxious too x

@Celina94 so sorry your morning sickness is still bad. I hope that you are feeling better soon. Sounds really sensible taking a few weeks off make sure to rest up :)

Thanks so much scan is at 2:40 and just praying all is okay! Yea I think they think until they know it’s all progressing at 12 weeks they can’t see evryone maybe? Who knows… hopefully it improves x

@summertimes2021 bless you! Imagine if it is twins :) do they run in your family?

@concreterose31 congratulations and welcome that’s amazing news! I bet you were so surprised it had happened naturally :) so pleased for you :)

@Positive21 I said exactly that to dh! Like imagine just not knowing any risks and thinking everything is always okay :) would be so clam right now haha! Also the dream finding out at 10 weeks and skipping this waiting! Ah Same I cannot wait to be able to tell people and it’s so lovely everyone having their scans now :)

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 18/09/2021 10:12

I’ve just been for my scan and was very relieved and happy to see there’s a little baby in the right place, measuring what it should and has a heartbeat!

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 18/09/2021 11:24

Thanks @Hope91! I’m 7w3d the sonographer said I was measuring a day ahead but that they are so small at this stage to keep my original due date.

Positive21 · 18/09/2021 11:58

It is so lovely to see everyone's scans! Congratulations ladies! It still makes me want to push mine forward and do it next week but I'm trying to be good 😂

Hope91 · 18/09/2021 12:04

@summertimes2021 congratulations beautiful scan so happy for you :)

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat awww amazing I’m so happy for you :)

@Positive21 bless you!better to keep it longer as I’m sure you will get to see more. I’m expecting not to see the heartbeat today but just hoping to confirm in the right place they will then have to book me in for another 1-2 weeks to see the heartbeat I think :)

CatLady345 · 18/09/2021 12:12

Hi guys, congratulations everyone. I feel so overwhelmed, I don’t know if I can do this. I have no idea what to do

Expecttheunexpected2022 · 18/09/2021 12:39

@hope91 Thanks for thinking of me :) The doctor was a bit dismissive at the start if I'm honest. "It's all part of it, have to get on with it, part and parcel, what have you tried?" But then she checked my urine which has ketones in it and her tone quickly changed. So basically ketones in urine means that me and baby are not getting enough food and drink and my body is buring fat reserves to keep going. At the moment the ketones aren't at a high enough level to have to go to hospital on the drip but if it continues or gets worse that is a possibility the doctor said. She examined my stomach and checked for any pains and then gave me a prescription for anti sickness medication. I was glad to be taken serious in the end up because at the start she wasn't taking me on at all unfortunately :(. I have lost 9lbs so I know my body is struggling. How are you getting on with everything? I know you mentioned feeling very anxious, I am like that a bit, my mind goes into overdrive and sometimes thinks worst case scenario which is not helpful.

Expecttheunexpected2022 · 18/09/2021 12:44

@hope91 I have just seen that you have a scan this afternoon. Goodluck, I can't wait to hear about it :)

maymum94 · 18/09/2021 12:46

@CatLady345 I'm sure you'll be fine is it your first ? Just take each day as it as it comes we have a long 7/8months ahead of us and you've always got us. When I had my first my highest value was talking to others that already had babes and getting to know there experiences. Maybe we can all share this and tips along the way. I know lots of people are in our Facebook group now maybe we can post a thread of previous experiences that all the first time mums can read through. I know doing some classes and online course helped me to prepare myself. I also did some hypnobirth videos for relaxation

Good luck @Hope91 I’m sure you will hear wonderful news.

The nausea has well and truly hit today at 6+1 and now I am dreading having it whilst attempting to teach 29 8 year olds.. not sure how teachers cope with the morning sickness! My desk is ready and stocked with breakfast bars and ginger biscuits so any other tips would be much appreciated ladies!

Hope91 · 18/09/2021 15:47

Hey ladies good news little bean is all in the right place yolk sac etc visible. It was too early to detect a heartbeat as expected so rescan booked in for 10/09 :) I feel so relieved though and can’t wait to hear the heartbeat then :) xx
