Went for a private scan last night! As I was worrying not having many symptoms and previous cramps! All is well ☺️❤️👶🏼 I am 6+6 due 7th may! Got to see the heartbeat which I find amazing so early on.

ninadust · 17/09/2021 11:09

@Celina94 oh I am so happy for you and I know exactly how you are feeling. That feeling of relief when you see the heartbeat!!! I am here if you need to talk (I am still bleeding), so we can support each other through this. You have made my morning xx

MrsSE · 17/09/2021 11:10

@Celina94 so so so happy for you!!!! Tearing up at my desk. So so glad everything is okay, seeing bloody must be the scariest thing but it’s so reassuring that people have bled and have healthy babies afterwards.

Celina94 · 17/09/2021 11:29

Thank you so much ladies. They also had no idea where the bleeding came from and said there was no evidence of bleeding either and that some women do just bleed throughout bright red with no explanation and everything is fine!

And definitely @ninadust I hope you are keeping well. ❤️

Celina94 · 17/09/2021 11:30

@haz452 amazing! It's such an unreal feeling seeing the little bubba isn't it! 🥺❤️

Etonmess20 · 17/09/2021 11:43

@haz452 congratulations! That must be so reassuring to see everything is all good! I haven't had many symptoms either & it's easy to worry but have a scan a week on Monday when I'll be 7+3 so hopefully that puts my mind at ease....just got to wait for it now 😂

RosettaTheGardenFairy · 17/09/2021 12:26

@MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat - no they don't know yet. I'm hoping to hold off telling them for as long as possible; they're 4 & 2 and have zero concept of time. If I tell them I'm having a baby they'll expect the postman to bring it tomorrow and get grumpy waiting. Our families are still all back in the UK, so we'll probably try to tie the kids in to the announcement without telling them - they can hold up a sign or something since they can't read yet!

You're having your 3rd too?

MrsSE · 17/09/2021 12:32

@haz452 amazing- congratulations!!! I have a scan next Wednesday (the day after my midwife appt) when I should be around 6+5 so really praying I see a heartbeat too. I will feel such a relief then, and will feel as if it’s actually happening I think!

aNewYorkerInLondon · 17/09/2021 13:01

@haz452 @Celina94 @ninadust - your scan results are helping to keep my hopes up for tomorrow. I think I'm probably fine, I'm just nervous because my symptoms are less than they were a week ago. This is probably silly, but I did another clearblue "weeks" test this morning and it still says 3+. I got that same result two weeks ago, so at least I haven't regressed?? Who knows - at least it will keep me calm until my scan tomorrow afternoon.

aNewYorkerInLondon · 17/09/2021 13:02

(I should be 7 weeks 0 days today)

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 17/09/2021 13:46

@RosettaTheGardenFairy same! Mine are also 2 and 4. I made the mistake of telling them we were moving house (before I knew exactly when) and they have asked me about 50,000 times a day since then when we are moving so I’m definitely not telling them for a while yet 😂 I am thinking I may get a gender scan at 16 weeks so I can tell them it is a boy or a girl.

Lovely scans @Celina94 and @haz452.

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 17/09/2021 13:49

@aNewYorkerInLondon I’m also having my scan tomorrow so fingers crossed for both of us.

If it will reassure you at all symptoms have really fluctuated for me in all my pregnancies including this one. Some days I wake up very nauseous and feel terrible all day and other days I feel ok. I think your body adjusts to the increased hcg levels and then they rise again and symptoms pick back up.

LS2020 · 17/09/2021 14:00

@aNewYorkerInLondon my pregnancy symptoms have been coming and going and ive just had my 6+4 scan and everything is prefect. Measuring at 6+3 but she didn’t revise my EDD as I had IVF.

As @maymum94 said, there’s nothing like seeing that flickering little heartbeat on the screen 🥰

Due May 22
LS2020 · 17/09/2021 14:01

That should say perfect 😂

Sarah239 · 17/09/2021 14:10

Im having a bit of a nervy day today.

Woke up at 4am with intense cramps that were worrying at the time.... in the end though I think it might have just been gas?! 😂

Then been stressing about work... finding it really hard to concentrate and finding what I'm doing difficult. Feeling guilt about that but at the same time... work is my lowest priority right now!

Then getting stressed about feeling stressed as I'm trying to remain calm for the pregnancy but that is easier said than done isn't it...!

Thank God it's Friday, just want to chill. Hopefully all being well 🤞I am going to tell my mum, dad and sister on Sunday so looking forward to that.

I really think I'm going to have to plan things to look forward to, like a couple of things a week, otherwise the waiting just feels neverending and all the days blur into one!

So exciting to see scans but I'm over 2 weeks away from that yet! 4w5d today by nhs (though suspect it might be later as very dark BFPs). My symptoms are still pretty mild, just tender boobs, fatigue and weeing lots, and the occasional mild cramp!

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy weekend ❤️

ninadust · 17/09/2021 14:26

@aNewYorkerInLondon I am sure everything will be just fine. Let us know how it goes 🥰 xx

Oh my.. seeing all these scan photos is getting me through Friday afternoon! Congratulations everyone. You must be so happy and relieved everything looks so good.

6w3d and the sickness has hit me very very hard today. It’s been constant since 4w and I don’t know how people cope with this in an office… thankfully still WFH. Also thanks to all the replies regarding skincare the other day. I. Hoping it’ll get better soon.

Little update from me…

I have had a rough couple of days to be truthful. I am on blood thinners (which the gp went back and forwards on last week) and put me on in the end (for a blood clotting condition) and said he was referring me to a specialist consultant… aim of this is that as I am at risk of ectopic they can monitor closely. Also as I am on blood thinners for the full pregnancy I should be monitored carefully anyway incase of bleeding.

Got a letter through today saying referral isn’t necessary go back to gp. I literally just sat and felt like crying.

Now in the gp wait list again and no further forward.

No contact from midwife yet as in my nhs trust they don’t contact you until 7-8 weeks.

I am 6 weeks tomorrow and I am so relieved I booked a private scan as I feel like if I hadn’t and it is ectopic and I was to bleed out due to the blood thinners that they literally would look at my notes and be like hmmm this girl told us the risks and we did nothing.

It’s just so frustrating and really concerning me about how my care is going to be for the rest of my pregnancy. It’s causing a lot of unnecessary stress sadly.

Anyway desperately trying to stay positive and just hoping more than anything that tomorrow the private scan shows that it’s not ectopic everything is fine and I can breath a little

Sorry for the rant just been holding that in all day.

Hoping that things start to improve soon xxx

Positive21 · 18/09/2021 00:34

I am sorry @Hope91 I didn't mean to make anyone else feel anxious. My OH gave me a very stern talking to about it. Told me that creating stress is just bad for the baby. I know he's right.

I'm sorry you've had a shitty time. I can't wait for your scan tomorrow! Fingers crossed all is perfect 💕
