I'm 9+3 today and I am so excited to see the back of randomly borking in public😅

WinsAndNeedles · 11/07/2021 10:01

@Jane7891 I've sent DH out to buy wind-eze. I'm going to explode if I don't do something! 😂

KM11 · 11/07/2021 13:28

@winsAndNeedles I've been suffering with awful trapped wind. I actually thought I was dying, how can it be so painful?? I dread eating as it seems to get really bad straight after!!

WinsAndNeedles · 11/07/2021 14:11

@KM11 get some wind-eze! It's really helped me today. I've been in agony with it but since taking the wind-eze, I've been able to shift the wind. I mean, I'm not pleasant to be around but at least I'm not dying 😂

Peachi82 · 11/07/2021 15:11

You make me laugh! Lol

Peppercorn2021 · 11/07/2021 16:10

Hello all!

I have my first midwife appointment this week and have been told my partner isn't allowed to come with me... the receptionist didn't say why just looked alarmed when I asked and kept saying "absolutely not, absolutely not!".

Have others found this? Is it a covid thing or just a general rule for some GPs??

Peachi82 · 11/07/2021 16:21

I don't know whether it's a Covid thing, but there are a few questions regarding your relationship to identify potential abuse. I think if your partner is with you, he will be asked to leave the room for these questions.
Similar scenario with the health visitor visit after birth.

overtherainbo · 11/07/2021 17:17

@Peppercorn2021 oh I didn't know this. I took my partner and he was there throughout 😮

Peppercorn2021 · 11/07/2021 17:35

Yeah, I had heard that @peachi82 but then know expectant mums who have taken their partner or mum etc.

Interesting @overtherainbo - I might ring up tomorrow and just ask why!

Winterfellismyhome · 11/07/2021 17:44

@Peppercorn2021 on my first booking appointment, they asked DP to leave then asked me questions about domestic abuse. Then he was invited back in. Maybe different trusts do it differently?

Peppercorn2021 · 11/07/2021 17:47

Yeah, @Winterfellismyhome I think maybe it's just a case of them all doing it is differently. I just wish she'd given me an explanation instead of looking at me like I was crazy and repeatedly saying "absolutely not" Confused

Peachi82 · 11/07/2021 18:23

Women are never as vulnerable as they are as expectant and new mothers :-(

CNizzle · 11/07/2021 18:36

@overtherainbo I really hope noone saw me walking to my car after work on Friday. The public borking was real ☹😆

Loll84 · 11/07/2021 18:45

Hi all, hope you're all doing ok.

I'm 13 weeks tomorrow with 1st baby and have my 1st scan on Tuesday! Been very worried about that and the screenings, but dont want worry to take over! Its comforting to have found this group and hope it can help me enjoy it!

Rmw99 · 11/07/2021 19:17

How long is the usual wait for the 12 week scan date to come through? I had my booking appointment Thursday, il be 10 weeks tomorrow by LMP but already 10 weeks if going by my private scan. I was a bit later this time round having my.booking appointment so hoping to get a date soo 🤞🤞

Hope2022 · 11/07/2021 21:02

Evening ladies!
Glad I’ve found the second thread! 😊
Hope you’re all well!!

I’m 9+2 my symptoms at present: heavy boobs and tender nipples when shower blasts them 🙈 feeling queasy all day, therefore always eating to keep it at bay! Strong smell really don’t help! Really really bloated and full of wind 🙈 heart burn pretty much every bed time but also throughout the last few days.. also not sleeping very well and feeling exhausted!! 🥱

Have a private scan Wednesday, can’t wait! After a mmc that was diagnosed at 12 weeks scan I feel I need to see a healthy heart beat 💖

overtherainbo · 11/07/2021 21:06

@CNizzle oh it's terrible isn't it, I literally bork over anything and once I start I can't stop hahaha

@Rmw99 my midwife appointment was 2nd July and my scan date came though on the 7th

Hope2022 · 12/07/2021 09:34

Anyone else wish shop sold small/bloated bump maternity range?? 🙈😂
Bursting out of my regular clothes but maternity drown me! 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Sleepyquest · 12/07/2021 09:52

Hiya, 11 weeks tomorrow. Think the nausea is starting to lift however my DH just returned from the supermarket and most things he bought have made me wanna vom!
Scan is next week. Counting down the days as I've been so anxious! Not even our parents know yet.

Skybooks · 12/07/2021 09:53

Yay I've found you all, I'm currently starving but only for snacks. Got a second private scan booked for sat should be 9w6d so hoping once I see the progression from the first scan I can feel a little relieved from previous MMC.

I've got my booking appointment next week will be 10w4d so hoping scan date comes through quick after that.

These last 5 weeks have gone so slowly. I actually let myself look at baby clothes in boots at the weekend and almost cried, I'm so convinced this one will end soon too.

I need to get in the loft and see what I did keep from DS5! But wont be able to allow myself to but anything for a while yet. That's what black Friday and January sales are for right!

Hope2022 · 12/07/2021 10:04

@Skybooks I have a private scan this week too (Wednesday) I too have the anxiety following mmc but I’m definitely feeling a little excited.. too soon for me to buy anything yet, I agree I’ll be all over the January sales though!! 😊

Bells3032 · 12/07/2021 10:05

hello. I am now 10+4 with my twinnies (we found out at an early scan. We have a scan and harmony blood test later today so feeling very nervous. DH's cousin texted this morning as she had her 20 week scan and found out its a boy which set off my nerves even more.

Although i am relieved about once thing...she named her dog Callie after the Grey's anatomy character and we wanted to name our daughter (if we have one) Izzy which is also the name of a GA character (not purposely) so was worried she'd pick the same name. lol. we've have got over it would have just been irritating.

but trying to keep distracted til 1pm. my neseaus been getting worse, my boobs ache and i am so bloated so hoping that's all a good sign. fingers crossed

Hope2022 · 12/07/2021 10:05

@Sleepyquest eeek not long to wait now! I’m a little jealous your a week or so ahead of me 😊😂
The whole nausea thing is annoying, this morning I felt slightly normal.. then boom it’s back! 🙈

Sleepyquest · 12/07/2021 10:11

Hahah @Hope2022 it's gone very slowly! I'm so nervous of the scan, it really can't come fast enough Sad

babyD20 · 12/07/2021 14:48

Hiya, I'm due feb 7th and I'm 10 weeks today. Has anyone else lost a lot of their symptoms. I don't want to worry as I know it's normal but gosh I didn't realise how much a worry pregnancy is! Smile
