It's my third but I didn't keep anything haha. I got the silver cross wayfarer for £412 on Amazon, amazing discount from £800🙈!

WinsAndNeedles · 09/07/2021 08:55

So this is baby #3 for us, Ds10 and Dd6. We really hadn't planned on or thought we'd have a 3rd. Having said that, we are over the moon, we both would have loved a big family but it wasn't practical for us for a few reasons. So this 'surprise' feels like a blessing, like a gift you would never have bought yourself.

Anyway, the issue with that is that we got rid of all our baby stuff. We have nothing! We're going to have to start again!

WinsAndNeedles · 09/07/2021 08:56

Haha, crossed post @overtherainbo
Glad to know I'm not the only one!

feb2022 · 09/07/2021 09:23

I gifted most of my newborn stuff to a friend and I'd feel really cheeky asking for it back so clothes wise I'm gonna have to buy from newborn to 1 year again, but luckily I have most of the baby stuff, I gave a few bits away like the bath and bath seat but I still have my pram and car seat, I've got the silver cross wayfarer too @overtherainbo it's just so practical, I did toy with the idea of getting a new one but there's no point may aswell save some £££

overtherainbo · 09/07/2021 09:23

@WinsAndNeedles you're definitely not the only one haha. I have DS8 and DD6 (previous marriage). We had been trying for 3 years for baby and figured it wasn't happening so gave up April this year. BFP June so a complete shock but starting again completely Halo

overtherainbo · 09/07/2021 09:25

@feb2022 oh I love the wayfarer too, I think it's such a beautiful pram. I had it with DD so I knew I wanted it again

Twelvetimestwo · 09/07/2021 09:29

I've kept everything which has completely done my head in (ttc took about two years longer than I would have liked)

Luckily I didn't bin anything and my icandy peach is still looking as good as new

Peachi82 · 09/07/2021 10:03

We had an Oyster2 with my son and I think we will be reusing it. Wasn't a big fan, but it folds small.
What annoyed me most was the seat unit as my son was never really sitting upright but kind of slouched.
When my son was nearly two, we got a citi mini GT which is a dream to push.

Twelvetimestwo · 09/07/2021 10:28

Also got a Yoyo. Excellent purchase

LKB89 · 09/07/2021 10:36

Thank you @overtherainbo did you have spotting too hence the 3 scans? I'm so nervous I could throw up! X

Thanks also @Lcj80
I may mention the progesterone if all is well with the scan today.
When we were TTC I had the day 21 progesterone test and it was 24, so deemed lowish, I wonder if this could be something to do with the spotting I have?
I spot for like a week before any AF too, only recently tho like 3 months before getting pregnant, not for all time!
So so so nervous I can't think of anything else! X

overtherainbo · 09/07/2021 10:38

@Twelvetimestwo @Peachi82

I've never thought to keep anything, it would have been so much nicer to have the extra money if I did keep the pram. Especially because I just bought the same one anyways haha!

MrsCtobe91 · 09/07/2021 10:40

Hi ladies. Mind if i join? Iv been lurking for some time but was too scared to post 😬. Anywho, im 7w4d and im due around 21st Feb by LMP and can't stop the worrying as i had a mc in april. I have no real symptoms other then some tiredness and boobs hurting on and off.

But my stupid self did a test last sunday and one again today for reassurance but the one today is slightly lighter so now that's making the worrying worse. I won't be taking anymore thats for sure. I have a viability scan next friday and have everything crossed that baby is fine 🤞🏻.

Anyway i wish you all a happy and healthy 9months 👣👶

overtherainbo · 09/07/2021 10:49

@MrsCtobe91 congratulations! I also had a miscarriage earlier this year and it does make the pregnancy even more stressful. I highly recommend a early scan. Just seeing the heartbeat takes a lot of worry away. I've had 3 so far and I'm booked for a 10 week scan next Sunday too. I think I'll stop worrying when I hit 12 weeks or maybe when I feel he/she moving. It sort of takes the excitement away I felt

choccrumpet · 09/07/2021 10:56

Thanks for the new thread! I'm 7+3 and my nausea has almost completely stopped. Did anyone else not have much of it around this time? I'm sure it's fine and I might be lucky that I'm feeling mostly okay but can't help but worry a little

LKB89 · 09/07/2021 17:24

Good news for me today ❤️
We saw the heart beat!! 😭

Everything looked ok, no sign of why I'm spotting just one of them things I guess, so that's good!

Dated me earlier than I thought I was though!

Going to stop googling now and try and finally enjoy this first trimester! 🥰

overtherainbo · 09/07/2021 17:30

@LKB89 amazing news, congratulations 🎉

Trinacham · 09/07/2021 17:33

@LKB89 great news!!
I also had a scan today. It's now the second one I have had, due to bleeding and spotting. Baby still looking fine. They said it was very active.. it was certainly wriggling a lot - very reassuring after my troubles. 10 weeks now. I also had an examination and some swabs taken to make sure there's not an infection causing the spotting.

Winterfellismyhome · 09/07/2021 17:55

@LKB89 such good news!

@overtherainbo sorry to hear you went through the same too, its heartbreaking. Yeh it really does, having to constantly find a way of being reassured is hard. I can't wait for the scan but im still scared that there will be something wrong, just can't win 🤦🏻‍♀️. Aw i bet thats been a relief everytime seeing the baby growing. I agree, at least with the 12 week scan the chance of miscarriage lessens doesn't it and definitely with feeling them move. Its such an amazing feeling. Oh it really does. I was so excited before the mc now its hard to get excited. Hopefully we can all relax a little soon 🤞🏻

CyberGhost · 09/07/2021 18:26

Ahh I am another having a third after throwing out all the stuff I had with the first two!!

It was only a year ago too Blush

LKB89 · 09/07/2021 18:29

Thank you so much guys, it was such a relief I honestly thought it would be bad news.
Was so reassuring to see the little flickers!

Think I'll book a scan in a couple of weeks times don't think I can go all the way to 12, nerves have been through the mill past couple of weeks!!

LKB89 · 09/07/2021 18:29

@Trinacham fantastic! So happy for you, I know you've have spotting for ages now xx

Peachi82 · 09/07/2021 18:44

So good to read all the positive news today!

Can't wait for my scan on Thursday and hoping the bean has done some growing. Very scared of a MA :-(
Very frowned upon on mumsnet, but I ordered a fetal doppler yesterday. I'm planning on using it until I can feel movements. I remember that with my son I felt quite left alone between the 12 weeks scan and the 20 weeks scan. It's still too early to be seen on an urgent basis and you don't really feel the baby yet. It's a weird time.

ChaiTRex · 09/07/2021 18:53

My due date is February 4!
Just hoping it doesn’t come late and arrive on Valentine’s Day, as it would be very sweet, but probably hard to throw well-attended birthday parties! I am loving the idea of an Aquarius baby ♒️
