Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

Congratulations @Oresome
So so nice to see some good news amongst all the worry. Really delighted for you.

Machaela · 21/07/2021 12:24

Hi everyone! Would love to join the group. I am 7 weeks today, due 9th March. This will be our second baby, we are already lucky enough to have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. I am extremely nervous this time around!!! Hope you are all well xxx

somersault · 21/07/2021 12:38

@Oresome

After a very anxious few days, I managed a trip to our local EPU where I was able to see a rather active little 8w2d bean, heartbeat and all!

After 4 miscarriages in a row (and one month before starting IVF), this is the furthest that I have ever got. The nurse said that everything was just as it should be so I am keeping everything crossed and trying not to think too far ahead.

Mind you, the sickness and the bone-shattering exhaustion are a constant reminder that something is going on.

The only thing is that my EDD has been pushed into February so, technically, I need to change group Wink

Good luck to everyone on here on this journey with so many ups and downs!

Congratulations! Such a relief for you, hope things are settled from here for you.
firstimemamma · 21/07/2021 13:32

@Machaela hi, I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and have a nearly 3 year old so a very similar situation to yours! How are you feeling? I'm SO tired today, it's just hit me. Survived baby gym with my toddler and now slumped on the sofa while he watches tv!

Machaela · 21/07/2021 13:35

@firstimemamma ahh amazing!

Machaela · 21/07/2021 13:38

@firstimemamma ahh amazing! Congratulations! Apart from being super tired and sore boobs I don’t feel any different! Do you have any other symptoms apart from tiredness?

firstimemamma · 21/07/2021 13:45

@Machaela boobs feel a bit funny but nothing too bad. My only 2 main symptoms are tiredness and hunger, some days I am extremely hungry. Was the same last time! Some serious evening bloating too. Got a private scan on Friday. How do you think your dd will take to a sibling? Ds adores babies so i'm very excited to tell him.

Machaela · 21/07/2021 13:53

@firstimemamma hunger is a big one! All I want is garlic bread and cheese toasties!! Oh yes my belly also bloats out in the evenings! Friday will be so exciting for you! Let me know how it goes. Im trying to get one booked in for next week. My daughter already knows, she is super excited and wants a brother! Trying to tell her that she can’t choose is quite difficult though. She’s already told her nursery teacher 🙈

Hello

Ah that's exciting!
Now not yet I had my second blood test done today to check levels and then will book as I will be considered as high risk.

How are you feeling? Xx

Bdbel · 21/07/2021 15:37

@Mylittleangel12 Im good thank you! And so happy for you 😊 I started a thread for older mums hoping for some positive stories so I've been dipping in to a few threads. Looking for similar experiences and hoping for that extra re assurance! I think I'm feeling more positive today x

Clearbloo · 21/07/2021 23:21

Positive test today! 3 actually ;) estinate is end of march 2022 bit of a surprise but happy nonetheless, second pregnancy. Hoping the sickness and nausea aren't as bad this time around! Congrats to you all

Clearbloo · 21/07/2021 23:23

Did want to ask people's opinions on private scans actually, didn't have one the first time around but they seem to be more popular even just in the last couple of years and 12 weeks seems a long time away! What is the general consensus?

toadstool32 · 22/07/2021 07:15

@Clearbloo I had one at 6+4 and I have another booked for 8w. It only gives reassurance for that snapshot in time.

Shortmamashortcycles · 22/07/2021 07:37

@Clearbloo, congratulations!

I didn't have a private scan for my first baby, although I did end up in EPU getting an emergency scan just before 6 weeks due to bleeding, which was a terrifying way to get an interim update!

This time round I got a private scan at 7 weeks - there's no way I'm making it through the summer feeling sick while running around with a toddler if I had to pretend everything is fine to family and friends, so the scan was a good way to be a bit more relaxed about telling folks before 12 weeks.

Window to the Womb have fairly good regional coverage and get good reviews if you do decide to go for one.

Cuwins · 22/07/2021 07:52

I had a scan at 7 weeks last weekend and have another booked at 9 weeks. For us it was worth every penny for the reassurance it has offered, after 2 miscarriages last year and as someone who is treated for anxiety anyway I would have been a mess without it. We also went to window to the womb.

CurlyNo2 · 22/07/2021 08:25

I had one last pregnancy for reassurance that there was a) something there and b) it was in the right place. I will be having another one with this pregnancy on Monday when I will be 8 weeks. I know too many people who get to 12 week scan and there was nothing there x

denisavn · 22/07/2021 12:10

We just found out yesterday we are due end of March 2022! It's our first so very excited and also somewhat worried and hoping everything will go well!

Congrats to all of you!!!!

firstimemamma · 22/07/2021 12:36

@Machaela thank you, I will do!

Anyone else's toddler started waking up earlier? Ds has taken to waking up at 5:30 and it's brutal!

Mylittleangel12 · 22/07/2021 14:17

@lol2015 hi how are you today? I just feel exhausted the nausea feeling is mild but on and off all day now, befor it was just after eating, how are u feeling? did your bloods go ok and have they booked you in for your scan yet ? X

@Bdbel thankyou, how are you? I'm glad you are feeling more positive now, when are you thinking about telling everyone , we are going to keep it quite untill we've had our 12 weeks scan,

Machaela · 22/07/2021 14:37

This is probably going to sound like a paranoid message… I am a really anxious person so overthink and worry about every single little thing. Im 7 weeks, and having period like cramps and lower back pain along with very sore boobs and constant wee trips! Obviously I am thinking the worst. Is anyone else experiencing the same symptoms? Any tips on how to relax a little to get me through the next few weeks??

H8theW8 · 22/07/2021 14:54

@denisavn Congratulations on your pregnancy 🤩 wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! X

Hey
Feeling completely wiped out today and so sick
Haven't had my results yet, should be back tomorrow hopefully
Really struggling to eat and drink atm think the heat isn't helping

Did they just book you an earlier scan or did you have to request it? X

Bdbel · 22/07/2021 15:23

@Mylittleangel12 hello how are you today? I don't think I'll tell anyone for a while. I'm still swaying from positive to pessimist! Ha.. I woke up today and feel like I'm no longer bloated, like I feel not pregnant! this is torture. 🙂

xxcatcatcatxx · 22/07/2021 15:34

Oh guys I went for an early scan as was so crampy and was bleeding when I strained for a poo.

Baby is fine 😫 It’s little heart I actually can’t even handle it. Too emosh! Such a realist and don’t like getting my hopes up but as soon as I saw that tiny flutter I was in absolute love.

She checked my ovaries whilst we were there and said I had a massive egg sized cyst on my left ovary … with a tooth in!!!!!!!! Has anyone else had this. Just so shocked I’ve been walking around for years with a bundle of oil, tooth and hair inside me.

Hope everyone’s coping alright with the heat and eating lots of ice lollies and keeping as cool as possible.

Much loveeee
xxx
