Thought I'd start a new thread for us expecting March 2022!

Congratulations!!

I'm 4+2 with my first, conceived via IVF. I have endo & adeno so pretty nervous. Have told hubby & my sis so far but it's hard keeping the excitement in! It's been a long TTC journey over the last 5 years...

Hope everyone is feeling well in these early days xx

How's everyone doing today ? I'm not sure if it's just the heat but man alive I'm a angry tired pregnant women right now.

I know a couple of us have been worried about mc and having pain in stomach- (I have had 8 myself).

My consultant said baring a silent mc/ ectopic typically first indicator for something going ary is actually lower back pain (really low). Then stomach pain/red blood. I won't say this is the same for all mc but thinking back to my previous ones back pain came first. Obviously if you suffer with hyper mobility SPD or back pain generally this won't apply but hope this might help some of you. If your worried call your EPU (if you have bleeding or previous mc they will see you and scan you)

To be frank I'm still terrified so keep peeing on clear blue tests to see if I get 3+ which I still haven't 😵‍💫 ( must step away from those tests) and I'm 5 weeks 6 days so have lost plot a bit !

Got a scan on Friday. I'm not sure if partners can come ? Anyone ?

newomums · 18/07/2021 08:51

@hellointhere

I've realised I may actually be due end of February... Now I'm feeling like an imposter in this thread! You're not getting rid of me until I know for sure! I have my midwife appointment next week. Do you think my husband can come too? I'm really excited. I spoke to the midwife on the phone and she was really nice so looking to meeting her.
Hang around as long as you like ? Why do you think you maybe further along ?

I'm not gonna lie being further along is the dream for me as sickness would be a few weeks closer to ending !

Trinxsy · 18/07/2021 09:24

Partners can come to scans now! There were loads in EPU just now. I have a scan on Sunday hopefully if my hcg trends continue! I have to get weekly scans anyway as DS had IUGR. I'm also being put on low dose aspirin to try and prevent it happening again.

Nurse said I'm not ectopic in the slightest as I've had no pains like I had the other day. I've just had general cramps. Everything tends to be in the middle or on both sides. Just so chuffed and can relax!

YorkshireSunshine · 18/07/2021 09:27

@hellointhere I think I might be the same!! Had a private scan yesterday that put me at 8+1 (EDD 28th Feb), I thought up until yesterday was 7+6 so early March

MeganChar1 · 18/07/2021 09:37

I’ve been spotting on and off for a week now and has generally been very light pink/brown. It’s been very light literally only a few dots when I wipe but yesterday I noticed a tiny bit more in my knickers. I’m open to EPU because of it and they did my bloods 48 hours apart, started at 76 at 4+1 then went up to 190. I know it’s more than doubled but seems quite low to me. I had a mmc in jan and with that pregnancy I was at nearly 300 when just over 4 weeks. I have a scan on Tuesday to check everything is in the right place but just preparing myself for bad news and trying to completely detach from this pregnancy. I’ve had spotting more days than not this week and I didn’t have any with my mmc pregnancy. Anyone have any similar experience?

My numbers were only 177 at 5 weeks. It's not the number, it's the doubling. My nurse said today that some people's hormones differ between pregnancies. It's nothing to worry about x
treesall · 18/07/2021 09:47

Anyone got absolutely zero symptoms? 5+4 and not even a hint of a sore boob or nausea. 4mcs in the last year so expecting this one is going the same way :-(

MeganChar1 · 18/07/2021 10:03

@treesall my symptoms are minimal apart from mild lower back and ligament pain and also spotting on and off which isn’t promising. I’ve also had losses so I know how you feel the anxiety is insane x

L0uL0u79 · 18/07/2021 11:08

Hi ladies,

I’m 5.0 weeks pregs with 3rd baby, due around 20th March. Excited and nervous in equal measures, especially since I’m an older mama.

Got 2 boys, 14 and 10, so it’s been a while! Feel sooooo sick 🤢 and ridiculously bloated. Not sure how I’m going to hide the ‘bloat bump’ for much longer! It’s like my body has said “ah, this again! I remember what to do! Here, have a bump!”

Cuwins · 18/07/2021 12:07

Had my scan and all looks good. They couldn’t find a reason for the small amount of spotting yesterday. Saw the heartbeat, baby measuring at 6 weeks and 5 days. By my LMP I thought 7 weeks so close enough! Have booked to go back in 2 weeks for extra reassurance.

Jay210 · 18/07/2021 12:45

@Cuwins great news, lovely that you were able to hear a heartbeat x

Cuwins · 18/07/2021 12:46

@Jay210 at this stage it’s see the heartbeat rather than hear it.

Trinxsy · 18/07/2021 13:27

Scan booked for next Monday at 6+4! Levels increased by 120% so onwards and upwards from here. Very excited to see baby :)

hellointhere · 18/07/2021 13:50

@newomums @YorkshireSunshine
When I did the nhs due date calculator I put in an average cycle length of around 35, which gave me early March. But when I told my midwife the first day of my last period she gave me end of Feb! So, I'm just not sure because I haven't been tracking my periods for that long and they were pretty inconsistent!

I'm enjoying the Yorkshire sunshine right now :)

Cuwins · 18/07/2021 13:56

I’m finding the heat really difficult- it just makes me feel so sick, the only place I have been comfortable is sat in the car with the a/c on. Sitting in a dark room in front of the fan helps a bit but not a lot.

Bdbel · 18/07/2021 14:00

Hi ladies, can I join? 5 weeks today and 2 previous mmc so I’m so anxious. I think taking to other ladies in the same boat might help.

I panicked yesterday as my boobs felt less swollen and less sore... anyone else had this?

I’ve taken ANOTHER clear your which says 3+ weeks so I’m taking that as a positive. But can’t help worrying xx

I had the same as I have 33/34 day cycles but not very consistent.

My midwife gave a date 5 days earlier than mine. I think they automatically take the 28 day cycle average. I'd be more inclined to go with your own date as it's probably more accurate but the 12 week dating scan will adjust if necessary.

It is frustrating though as if you're like me I like to know exactly what stage I'm at and monitor how I'm feeling etc.

Mylittleangel12 · 18/07/2021 14:49

Hi can I join in plz? congratulations on all your pregnancys. Im 5 weeks 6 days and due the 14th march I've had quite a few early miscarriages so, I've been prescribed progesterone pessaries this time and can already see the difference in my line progression also got my 3+ on clearblue at 5+1 which I never got past 1 to 2 befor, got a scan booked at epu on Wednesday so I'm feeling really anxious,

hellointhere · 18/07/2021 15:56

@Lya4 I'm not even sure what impact cycle length has. Is it solely the fact that it changes your estimated ovulation day, or perhaps it indicates other things in pregnancy?
It is mad how many questions I suddenly have about my own body. You'd think I'd already know about how this works!

lol2015 · 18/07/2021 16:03

Hello everyone

Please can I join??

Congratulations on all your pregnancies.
According to nhs my edd is 14th March, a little nervous on this one as I have had 2 mc before. I have a blood test booked next week to check all my levels.
I think my progesterone maybe a little low as my tests aren't getting any darker so worried that might cause something to happen before my results :( xx

Hormones levels can vary.

I had a partial molar pregnancy which saw my hormones really high at 4 weeks (I didn't know it was a partial molar until I lost baby at 14 weeks) but I thought it was a good sign. I had every symptom under the sun and was so sick I thought I was dying.

The best thing isn't if it's low - it's if it's doubling and/or in normal range for the weeks pregnant.

It doesn't help much but honestly if it's within the range level it's a encouraging sign xxx

ejefferinton · 18/07/2021 17:19

Hi @lol2015 and @Mylittleangel12 and welcome! Sorry to hear about your previous losses, there's lots of people here in the same boat and the anxiety is completely understandable.
@Cuwins yes - I normally struggle in the heat anyway but adding the nausea in has made it particularly unpleasant! Hope you're feeling a bit better

87iffer · 18/07/2021 17:32

I’m 7weeks with my first and sooooo anxious 😬

Congratulations everyone 🥰

YorkshireSunshine · 18/07/2021 18:28

@Lya4 the midwife gave me a due date of 5th March but I was 100% it couldn’t be later than 2nd from tracking ovulation. My last period was 1st May (I think Covid made me miss the next one) so I think that’s caused the differences
