Hi Ladies, I've been getting impatient lately as my energy has dropped and I'm huge! Baby is measuring ahead and I have extra amniotic fluid around the baby. They are talking about induction so I guess its nearly time for me...

Anybody else? X

I posted earlier on in the thread. My baby girl was delivered at home by her dad last Wednesday, quite eventful. I hope you all get to meet your babies soon and have smooth, safe deliveries.

Olivebranch26 · 01/07/2021 08:46

@AlwaysNapTime wow congratulations, that sounds like a very dramatic entrance. Bet that was a shock for you, glad your both doing great Grin

Induction day tomorrow.. I'm so anxious this time around.

Good luck for the induction tomorrow @Olivebranch26 hope it goes smoothly for you.

I am very sleepy today! Baby has had hiccups all morning haha.

Olivebranch26 · 01/07/2021 11:46

@BlackberrySt Thanks, I hope it does too Grin your 39 weeks today so almost there yourself. I was so sure I wanted this induction just to not be pregnant anymore and meet my baby but now its tomorrow I'm freaking out lol x

Thank you! We are both fine. Only just made it to hospital in time for my 2nd birth (12 minutes) so had already said to my husband I didn't think we would make it this time! I seem to go from 0-100 in the blink of an eye 😂

Good luck for your induction tomorrow Olivebranch26

Ctvyh7h7 · 01/07/2021 17:15

Congratulations @AlwaysNapTime what a whirlwind and amazing experience for Dad!

Good luck @Olivebranch26 hope it all goes well for you!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/07/2021 07:20

Good luck @Olivebranch26 Flowers

Olivebranch26 · 02/07/2021 16:35

Thanks everyone, arrived at hospital to be induced this morning, pessary put in at 1pm. Cervix is still high and barely open so looks like I might be here a while. No pains so far, hoping something happens soon. One lady had her pessary put in and an hour later whisked off to labour ward.. not jealous here Wink

BlackberrySt · 02/07/2021 17:57

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/07/2021 05:14

Fingers crossed your holding your baby now @Olivebranch26

Olivebranch26 · 03/07/2021 06:16

Hi all, well not much happening apart from period cramps throughout the night which is something at least. Never stopped moving yesterday so trying my best to kick start labour. My husband had to look after my daughter so I was alone the whole day, he's coming today so I'm looking forward to some company at least Smile Hospital wouldn't let my mum come in apparently only one visitor the whole stay.

@Olivebranch26 urgh that’s a bit grim. Have you managed to sleep much?

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/07/2021 08:44

Oh @Olivebranch26 i hope things start happening for you soon, i went in at 2cm and took me ages to get past 4cm but then it really sped up

SamoyedFan123 · 03/07/2021 09:51

@Olivebranch26 good luck! Hope you get to meet your little one soon.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I had my induction started on tuesday but the hormones made things a bit too intense too fast fir baby so they stopped it and changed to a mechanical induction. My little boy was everyday born by VBAC on Thursday evening at a whopping 8lb 12oz - not quite as big as we were expecting but plenty big enough!

Ctvyh7h7 · 03/07/2021 10:58

Congratulations @SamoyedFan123 he is a super cutie 💙 hope you are both doing well. Are you home now or still in hospital?

I really feel for you @Olivebranch26 as the last thing I think I'd want is to be in hospital for a long time. Really hope things start speeding up for you soon! Just imagine how excited your daughter must be getting!

SamoyedFan123 · 03/07/2021 11:01

@Ctvyh7h7 thank you, we're still in hospital but hopefully heading home this afternoon.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/07/2021 11:12

SamoyedFan123 · 03/07/2021 11:39

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE thanks! You were expecting a big baby too if i remember correctly? Were your scans correct in the end?

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/07/2021 11:45

Baby was born 8lb12oz at just over 39 weeks!

SamoyedFan123 · 03/07/2021 12:10

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE omg exact same weight as mine was born at (although at 38 +4) he also decided to make his way out with one arm up by his head which wasn't pleasant 😳

Tvscreen · 03/07/2021 14:06

Just catching up on messages and congratulations @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE and @SamoyedFan123 on the birth of your beautiful babies!

I’m 39 + 2 and have my induction booked for 40 weeks as baby is measuring large and I have GD. I had a sweep yday on advice of the consultant and other than period pains around my groin I’m not feeling anything. I’m desperate to have the baby this weekend while mum is here and to avoid the induction.

I’ve been trying to express colostrum but have so far only managed a minuscule drop.

I also had the second dose of covid jab yday (Pfizer) and am feeling heavy and knackered today but don’t know if this is the jab or the vaccine. I would like to go for a walk but just don’t feel up to it!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 03/07/2021 17:48

@SamoyedFan123 seems we have an awkward pair, ds was born back to back!
