Ladies has anyone experienced yellowtail green discharge? 🤔😳

Peachi82 · 03/07/2021 15:12

So sorry to read about all your worries :-( Thinking about each and every one of you!

The hospital has sent me an appointment for a scan already for next week. Bit confused as the consultant said she wants to see me back in 2 weeks time. Not sure if I should try and rebook. Otherwise it will be very reassuring to see the little bean again in a weeks time.
I have my vaccine (2nd Moderna) next week Friday, I was hoping they do the second reassurance scan after the vaccine. I'm not really worried per se but it would be good to know that the vaccine doesn't have any influence.
Not sure if they can book me in for another one. It seems unfair towards women who wait impatiently for their 12 week scan.

Skybooks · 03/07/2021 16:51

I've been for a private scan this morning 7w5d based on lmo and measuring 8w1d with strong heartbeat which is a relief after previous MMC.

Still hoping to squeeze in another reassurance scan before my 12 week scan but need to wait for dates from the nhs so I can plan then at 2 week intervals.

I hope all the ladies with spotting and bleeding get the reassurance they need.

Symptoms are so irregular sometimes try not to worry about lack of sickness etc.

SR092 · 03/07/2021 17:19

Like many in this thread I’ve had brown spotting, ive not had contact from my midwife get so rang the EPU and they’ve booked me in for an early scan at 8 weeks, so got a week to wait, it’s going to be a long week!

Mummysausage36 · 03/07/2021 17:52

Thanks all, it hasn't got any worse and cramps have eased a bit. I suppose it's just a waiting game now.

haidri · 03/07/2021 22:14

Hi girliesss. I wake up extremely hungry [almost starving] because I have constant sleep instead of waking up in between. What snacks do you recommend I should eat throughout?

haidri · 03/07/2021 22:15

@Hope2022 yup, it's actually good. It's a sign that your hormones are regulated & doing the hard work in needs

vmfwh · 04/07/2021 09:27

Morning! Just back from my scan appointment and much to even the doctor's surprise there was a foetus and a sac still visible despite all the crazy bleeding I've had this last week and we managed to hear the first flicker of the heart beat as I'm only 5 + 6 today. Such a huge relief!

She still has no clue as to where the blood is coming from, and there is no blood around the sac or anywhere in my uterus. The progesterone tablets and injections seem to be helping slow things down a bit so I've had to take another shot today and been prescribed the pills for another month along with forced rest. Been booked in for another appointment next week to make sure things are progressing well.

My biggest concern at the moment is that as the doctor cannot see where the blood is coming from or why, she says she cannot say if the baby will suffer as a consequence physically/mentally in terms of development. She says we will just need to take each week and milestone as it comes and assess the situation accordingly. Anyone else on here with unexplained bleeding/spotting been told this as well? Really worrying!

KM11 · 04/07/2021 09:52

Still having these awful cramps, mainly in the evening/night. For anyone else that has had them how painful have they been for you? It's much more than a pulling/tugging/stretchy feeling and I feel like AF will arrive any second. I'm 6 weeks today, got an early scan tomorrow but when I woke up this morning had my first bout of morning sickness, which although awful I'm taking as a good sign.

@vmfwh so glad you got to see the heartbeat and I've got everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy xx

overtherainbo · 04/07/2021 11:04

I've just came back from my NHS scan this morning. I've caught up on the days. Now measuring 8+3 which fits perfectly with my period.

Haemorrhage is still there but hasn't grew which is great. They said they will keep monitoring me.

The bleed I had earlier in the week was part of the haemorrhage which is normal, it's my body's attempt of draining away the sac of blood.

My cramping and backache is normal, all part of pregnancy.

We even seen the spine which she said at this stage is looking great 🌈

Sleepyquest · 04/07/2021 11:25

My anxiety is through the roof. I'm just not confident at all!
I have midwife face to face this week, is there anything they can do to help convince me baby is ok? Will they use Doppler if I beg?

overtherainbo · 04/07/2021 11:35

@Sleepyquest could you book a private scan?

Sleepyquest · 04/07/2021 11:38

@overtherainbo I can't really afford it Sad also had one in my last pregnancy and didn't enjoy it!

miniGmummy · 04/07/2021 12:05

Hi everyone.

I am also due Feb 2022, had a couple of scares already.
Last week was in A&E after suffering some bleeding. (Blood was rusty to dark and once finally seen in after 8 hours :( A&E and triaged in EPU they weren't concerned thankfully)

Had a private scan on Tuesday, baby had a strong heartbeat and I was measuring 8w+5

Friday I went to the loo and there was bright red blood :( I called the EPU who saw me yesterday, had another scan and saw little one swimming around and strong heart beat again, measured at 9w+4 yesterday.

Got 12 week scan 12th July, fingers crossed everything is ok xx

Peachi82 · 04/07/2021 12:09

Sleepyquest, you can ask your midwife to get referred for an early scan. But she might decline if you don't have any obvious problems. Unfortunately anxiety doesn't seem to count (being really anxious myself I struggled with the wait a lot in my previous pregnancies and I knew something wasn't right with the second but I didn't get a referal as every pregnancy is different.)

I understand so much where you're coming from :-(

How is everyone else doing this Sunday?

Sleepyquest · 04/07/2021 12:19

Thanks @Peachi82 I'll give it a go!

glasspaw · 04/07/2021 12:43

I have my booking in appointment this week. It’s in person rather than on the phone which is great, but I don’t really know what to expect. For those who have had theirs, what happened?

becarefuloutthere · 04/07/2021 13:04

@glasspaw I have mine this week as well but over the phone, interested to hear what others say too.

HobnobbingAboutHobnobs · 04/07/2021 13:11

Oh my goodness I have been sick as a dog today. After several days off work the Dr gave me some anti nausea tablets last week and they had been helping, but today I've been in bed all day and thrown up everything I've managed to eat 🤢 I'm feeling utterly miserable. Thankfully my husband is an amazing dad to our toddler otherwise I really don't know what I'd do!

CNMP · 04/07/2021 13:13

Hey Lovelies,
@overtherainbo & @vmfwh so great to hear your scans went well!

I’m still having some brown discharge. I seems to have calmed down, and now seems more like discharge that is tinged brown, if that makes sense.

Sorry if it’s TMI but this is what I’m getting today. Not much when I wipe, and still not much on a pantyliner, but still worried. The consistency is much like the stretchy discharge so I’m hoping the brown bits are nearly over and it’s just leaving my discharge abit brown. My scan on Thursday can’t come soon enough!

Aside from that, still extremely tired and my nausea has killed my appetite. Just eating as and when I feel like it!

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Sycamore89 · 04/07/2021 13:33

Hi @glasspaw - I asked a similar question last week and I’ve now had my booking in appointment so can help! I imagine that it varies quite a lot depending on location but, at mine, I had a blood test and a urine test. I then spent about 45 minutes with the midwife answering a lot of questions about medical history etc. There was also time for me to ask the hundreds of questions that I have. I found it a really reassuring and nice experience (my midwife was lovely) and, at the end, we booked in a date for my 12 week scan. Hope yours goes well too!

vmfwh · 04/07/2021 13:39

Thank you @KM11 and @CNMP :)

My doctor wants me to get to your stage @CNMP so she can reduce the amount of progesterone I'm on. Basically, the stage you're at means you're only seldom spotting and it's mixing with your normal stretchy mucus/discharge. Definitely a sign things are slowing down and hopefully halting soon! Good luck with your scan on Thursday xx

overtherainbo · 04/07/2021 14:26

@CNMP I agree with the other lady. It's more of a mix of old blood and discharge so the actual amount will be smaller but may look like a huge amount with it being mixed.

Good luck with your scan on Thursday. I know how much anxiety it brings waiting for the reassurance 🤍

Lcj80 · 04/07/2021 14:31

@vmfwh glad you got to see heartbeat! I know exactly how you feel with the bleeding. As you know, I’ve bled since last Monday evening and 4 days of that time it’s been heavy. Pregnancy was viable on Thursday approx 6 weeks and they started me on progesterone and my hCG on Thursday was 4664. This weekend I’ve carried on bleeding (not as heavy but fresh red blood) abs started passing some clots and what looked like membranes. I went back to EPAU this morning and they did a speculum. Cervix is closed but they could see active uterine bleeding. hCG repeated and only increased to 5432 which isn’t a huge increase over 3 days 😔😔 got to continue as normal until I’m scanned again on Thursday, just remain in limbo until then. Sorry I can’t help but hope you know you’re not alone xx

vmfwh · 04/07/2021 15:02

@Lcj80 I am so sorry to hear that things have taken a sudden turn for you. On the plus side, your cervix is still closed...
We really are in the same boat. I've also been bleeding since last Monday, and what started off as brown discharge progressed to red blood in the last few days. However, I seem to have had a positive outcome with the progesterone pills and injections...I have bouts where it slows to a bit more than spotting and then goes back to heavy bleeding. Has the pessary not helped you in any way? Is there anything else they can give you to help you?
I was given to understand that hcg levels start slowing down rather than doubling the closer you reach the 6000 mark. Maybe that is the reason for the levels slowing down?
Given that you are passing clots and matter, can they not move your scan forward or at least check for a heart beat to give you some peace of mind in the interim? Are you cramping a lot as well?
Just stay positive and as much as possible try and limit your physical movement as that really helped me with my uterine bleeding from increasing in my last pregnancy.
Sending you lots of hugs and keeping my fingers crossed that things change for the better for you very soon! I love this group...none of us are ever alone here, no matter how bad things may seem at the moment xx
