Wow, lots of new arrivals now that were drawing to the end of the month! Congratulations to all the new mums and hopefully not too long now for the rest of you now.

@warrickdaviesasplates @Sakura1982 We've still not agreed on a name. This also happened with DS1. I struggle with boys names. Had a handful of lovely girls names before we found out what we were having!
Lovely that you got your homebirth confirmed @warrick . Bet that's put your mind at ease.

@vie8126 I'm feeling ok. Baby is a good sleeper so managed to get a fair amount of rest. Just having horrible cramps when I breastfeed but I know that's just my uterus shrinking down to size and thecramps should subside in a couple of days. Still very unpleasant though! Baby weighed 6lb 10oz.

Baby boy arrived in the early hours of the morning! He’s in NICU for a couple of days but keeping everything crossed that he might be able to leave early.

@Vie8126 Don't worry you're not the only one! I'm 40+4. Sweep on Tuesday but not holding out much hope - I think mine will end in an induction the first week of august 🙈 Honestly feel like I've been pregnant for a year 😂

@MillyJS I have my second sweep Tuesday so fingers crossed for us both and an induction booked for Saturday. I'm not even due yet only 39 and 1 but feel your pain of being pregnant forever!!!!!

At hospital for induction and can’t believe how long the day feels! First baby so not much is happening I was 3cm hours ago and thought oh good and no one has checked since other than heart monitors put on. But exciting to think I might meet my baby today

@Vie8126 Fingers' crossed your sweep gets things moving! I might ask if I can be induced earlier than 42 weeks - I don't know how much more I can take, I'm in a lot of pain with PGP & sciatica 😩

Yeah @HumunaHey it has definitely put my mind at ease getting the home birth stuff sorted.

We picked up the birth pool yesterday so are totally set to go. Just keeping my fingers crossed this baby comes on it's own and I actually get to use it.

I've got my sweep in half an hour, absolutely bricking it. But I'm going to try and be brave and get through it.

@Sweetpea12 Back to back is awful! Are you able to get on all fours or lean over the edge of the bed or something? I remember that being the only way to take the enormous pressure off my spine, it doesn't stop it hurting but gives a little bit of relief.

Midwife couldn't do the sweep in the end as my cervix was to high, at least I know not to hold my breath for a baby in the next few days.

@Warrickdaviesasplates I feel for you with the news from your midwife. I've read loads of stories where the midwife couldn't do a sweep then a few hours later labour starts. Keeping everything crossed for you that you'll start soon enough xxx

My 21/7 baby girl arrived 24/6 at 5lbs 11oz.

Induced with propess at 9pm on 23/6 due to cholestasis and preeclampsia - had a nap and waters broke at 3am and she was born by half past 6! No time for an epidural or diamorphine so gas and air got me through contractions, birth and stitches.

@Warrickdaviesasplates - my midwife couldn’t do my sweep. My cervix was still completely closed. That was at 1430. At 0100 my waters broke…

Oh @Vie8126 and @Bunny2021 that sounds promising. I'll get bouncing on my yoga ball tonight to try and jiggle the baby loose.

Congratulations @hkp288 hope you and baby are doing well. Does she have a name yet?

My baby boy Jacob arrived 26/7 weighing 8lbs 6.5oz ended up with forceps delivery as I just couldn’t get him to come out and was so grateful the midwife got the opinion of a doctor who thought that maybe his size was why he couldn’t push right down. Was delighted when my contractions stopped in theatre lol both doing well just treated for suspected sepsis so both on antibiotics but other than that I’m delighted with him 💙
