Hi ladies, I’m due on the 20th but think I will be early. How is everyone doing?

@HollyWell Congratulations on your beautiful baby! Sorry it didn’t go to plan but as you said, you had your lovely bundle of joy in the end and a great experience! Best of luck with your new family member x

LittleTiger007 · 24/05/2021 12:43

Welcome @AtLeastThreeDrinks! I’ve added you to the list. I’m still waiting. On again off again early labor for a week now! This morning I had fairly strong contractions 20 mins apart but they have stopped again now. I’m just trying to chill and rest whilst I can.
Congratulations @HollyWell on your little boy!

Can I jump on here? Due on the 31st and every single little twinge is getting me excited! Had lots of cramping last week with an upset tummy and up during the night but all died down and stopped now Envy

Congratulations to those who have had their babies!💕

hereforallthehelp · 24/05/2021 16:38

Anyone else’s baby moving quite a bit?! She hasn’t stopped all day and I can feel every single movement! Probably just being hopeful it means something as due today!

CarryOnParenting · 24/05/2021 18:42

@HollyWell congratulations!!

@LittleTiger007 I hope things get moving for you soon, what a slog!

Our baby boy arrived today at 1.51pm via csection, 8lb 4. No name yet but he is beautiful ☺️ xx

LittleTiger007 · 24/05/2021 22:42

Congratulations @CarryOnParenting! I’m so happy for you.
Welcome @abeanbaked. @hereforallthehelp me too with the wriggly belly! Very much so!

LaMadrilena · 26/05/2021 07:26

40+3 today. Woken up with a slight headache. That's a definite sign labour, right? Right?

abeanbaked · 26/05/2021 08:49

I went in for reduced movements the other night and they offered to induce me there, although they don't have any concerns about the baby, they were just sleepy. Safe to say I practically ran out of the hospital, I'm impatient but not that impatient!

I've been doing everything to try and get this baby moving as I want to go to the midwife led unit and I think if I go too far over my due date I might not be allowed!

Newmumtobeee · 26/05/2021 09:17

@abeanbaked how far along are you? I didn’t realise they’d offer to induce you because baby was a little sleepy! So strange. I’m 40wks+6 and also trying anything to get this baby moving

abeanbaked · 26/05/2021 09:27

@Newmumtobeee 39+2, I had a feeling they might offer it as they seem overly keen to induce for dates in my trust! They weren't concerned about baby so I turned it down, happy to wait longer if it means I can meet little one in a more comfortable way!🤣

LaMadrilena · 26/05/2021 19:18

I've lost a bit of mucus plug this afternoon (or bloody show, not quite sure which...) and now having quite frequent contractions, about every 5 minutes for over an hour. The thing is, although they are sore, like a period, they're not even close to unbearable. I've got one of those contraction-counting apps, which has already told me to go to hospital! But I'm going to hang on for now. Trying not to get excited.

(Also, trying to convince DH to put his stuff in a rucksack - he insists he'll only take 5 min and will do it once we decide to go to the hospital Hmm)

abeanbaked · 26/05/2021 19:40

@LaMadrilena how exciting! Did they tell you they have to be unbearable? A lot of my friends who had babies recently didn't find their contractions unbearable at any point, I suppose the more relaxed you are the easier it can be..

LaMadrilena · 26/05/2021 19:57

@abeanbaked No, now I come to think of it noone's said that! FTM, so got nothing to go on, and I'd just assumed they would be awful! Getting a bit stronger though. Going to have some cake and see what happens.

abeanbaked · 26/05/2021 20:05

@LaMadrilena yeah they described them as intense but never utterly unbearable, enjoy your cake and hope you have your little bundle soon!

Newmumtobeee · 26/05/2021 22:10

Been having contractions since 4/5pm today. Started as backache, became severe backache but then it kept coming in waves! Back is in agony. Every 2minutes I was having 30 seconds of contractions. Midwife didn’t want to assess me as they weren’t classed as long enough. However, I went into hospital for reduced foetal movement, all fine with baby, machine also showed that I am having contractions but again, not long enough even if I have them every 2mins so I was sent home. More bloody show, back in agony (found out baby is back to back hence why my contractions are more in my back). Had a bath and now sitting in bed but still having contractions. Think it’ll be a long night :(

LaMadrilena · 26/05/2021 23:56

I'm about to be sent home too, only 1cm dilated. Paracetamol and bed for me.

Willowfalls · 27/05/2021 00:16

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to be so quiet!

I had my little girl on Sunday 23rd May! Went in at midnight & was 4cm, asked for an epidural and it came straight away :). All was going well until I developed a temperature and they thought I had sepsis so ended up with an ECS. The ECS was so calm & everyone was lovely - nothing to worry about if you need one. Baby girl was born at 6am!

Good luck ladies 💜

CarryOnParenting · 27/05/2021 14:21

Congratulations @Willowfalls hope you and babes are ok now.

Thinking of all the ladies who sound like they’re in early stages. Very excitingly

We are finally home!

May babies - anyone else due soon?
LittleTiger007 · 27/05/2021 14:42

Congratulations @Willowfalls! Sorry that you ended up with a section but glad to hear it all went smoothly.
What a beautiful baby @CarryOnParenting! Glad you’re home.
Still plugging away here. 41 weeks today. 3cm dilated. Contractions come and go.

LaMadrilena · 27/05/2021 14:52

Congratulations @Willowfalls and @CarryOnParenting!

Still contracting here too. Really sore, but not nearly frequent enough. Catching up on last night's sleep.

LittleTiger007 · 27/05/2021 15:22

I never knew that this was a ‘thing’. 12 days of contractions on and off. I’m sleeping lots too @LaMadrilena. Occasionally the contractions have been very strong, but I’m still in early labour. I’m hoping the second stage will be very quick to make up for it.

OP posts:
LaMadrilena · 27/05/2021 15:30

12 days Sad! I started yesterday and only have till Saturday or it's induction. I'd better stop sleeping and get back bouncing...

LittleTiger007 · 27/05/2021 15:31

Yep lots of bouncing...
