14+3 today and feeling suddenly very nervous as don't feel pregnant anymore 😂 I know they say this is normal, but... I'm a worrier! I had scan 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect, but now feel pretty much normal after a hellish first trimester of heavy bleeding and sickness every day. Can't wait for baby to start moving so I have the reassurance ❤️ how's everyone else feeling? X

I'm a little ahead of you at 15w3d and literally was just thinking similar. I have a little bump now so that's my only sign at the moment. I am NOT complaining after the awful time I have until 13/14 weeks though.

I'm excited to feel some movement in the coming weeks but for now just happy I don't feel sick and want to sleep all the time! I'm sure I will start worrying again when I don't feel anything much before 20weeks, it's my first so know that's highly likely.

Try to enjoy it before we get so big we feel horrid again!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 13:11

I'm a little behined at 13+3 but after having nausea every. single. day. for the past 6 weeks it's finally subsiding! This is baby no.2 for me and I've not quite got a bump yet just looks like I've put on some extra timber lol 🤣 my 20 week scan isn't until 24th May which just seems like aaaaaages away 😩 x

Boxsky · 06/04/2021 13:30

Haha, together we have three weeks covered! I hope this is the end for you with sickness @MyGrassIsBrowner! 🤞🏼

I've just booked a private scan for Friday... just to reassure me everything's ok! Had a bit of backache today so hoping that's normal and just things moving about in there. It's my first too, so I'm constantly worrying about every little thing and 'is that baby or is it just trapped wind?!' 😂🙈 x

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 13:43

@Boxsky I've had a couple of reassurance scans during my pregnancy and it's always a treat seeing baby again! There are such a range of symptoms it's so difficult to determine if they're good or bad, not like we enjoy worrying or anything. And it never gets any easier with subsequent babies, I'm still worried and wishing I could start feeling movement! Wont be saying that when I'm manually removing feet from my ribs though like I did with my DD 🤣
Would you like a girl or boy? Or not fussy? I had a nub prediction done and it looks like we may be having another girl which will be lovely, hoping they grow up to be best friends hehe! But obviously whatever we have as long as they're healthy that's all that matters!
Have you started buying stuff yet? X

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 13:44

@Boxsky and LOL on the trapped wind! 🤣 I had major pains the other day.. turned out I just needed a big poo 🙈🤣 x

Boxsky · 06/04/2021 13:53

The things we go through hey @MyGrassIsBrowner 😂😂 I've had a few scans too, tried to wait until gender scan at sixteen weeks... but gave in!! I had a really big SCH which caused scary bleeding early on and it's my little IVF baby so I still feel edgy and almost like I don't want to jinx anything by buying anything... but hopefully soon I'll feel safe! Maybe after Friday. Oh bless you, a little girl would be lovely!!!! I've not had a look at the nub theory, but I might. I feel like it's a boy, not sure why! X

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 14:04

@Boxsky god tell me about it 🤣
Aww that's amazing.. little IVF baba 😍
I remember buying stuff right after my 12 week scan, I just couldn't resist and I was so excited. This time I'm a bit more laid back as I have everything and bonus if we have a girl as she'll get all of DDs clothes haha!

Oooh you should post a pic of your 12 week scan!! We can have a guess 😊 x

Boxsky · 06/04/2021 14:12

@MyGrassIsBrowner haha! You're already prepared! Still exciting though. What's your age gap between yours?

My 12 week scan is hilarious! Baby looks like Dracula with big chin and big pointy nose! Hopefully Friday it looks more like a baby and less like a Halloween mask! 😂😂😂

@Boxsky Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I'm 14+4 weeks and I feel HORRENDOUS in the morning, my morning sickness hasn't eased up yet. 😩
But I am getting that lovely second trimester energy boost lately, once it's afternoon and I don't feel icky anymore I often do forget I'm pregnant throughout the day. I definitely have a little bump now though. Smile
No idea about nub/skull theory but I think your little Dracula scan is super cute! 💕

@MyGrassIsBrowner The big poo made me laugh, it's awfully glamorous isn't it. 😂

Boxsky · 06/04/2021 14:26

@CaptainSpirit congrats to you too! Bless you I hope it eases up soon for you! Glad you feel a bit perkier as the day goes on though. Hopefully the morning sickness should ease soon. Have you had any round ligament pains yet? Hahaha bless you, thank you! It's definitely an interesting scan pic 🙈😂 x

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 14:37

@Boxsky Awww beautiful scan!!!! 😍😍
I think the skull looks more boyish if you ask me! I can't quite make out the nub but the skull definitely boy I'd say!

@CaptainSpirit LMFAO! Wait til you give birth, that's the most glamorous part!! 🙉

2nd trimester is definitely the best, soak it all up! And that energy boost you get, use it to start nesting, there's no better feeling 🥰

CaptainSpirit · 06/04/2021 14:44

@Boxsky No round ligament pains as of yet, how about you? I can't wait to feel some movements, it'll be so much more reassuring.❤️
Will you be able to find out the sex at your private scan or will it be just a little early? I have one booked for 12 days away and I'm so excited!

@MyGrassIsBrowner Oh I know, this will be my third - I was not exactly graceful with my two previous births. Blush

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 14:50

@CaptainSpirit oh wowza baby no.3!! How are you finding it this time round? DH wants 3 but I'll make my mind up after this one lol. The noises emitted from me during my birth were horrific, you'd have thought I was being murdered lmao. In my defence I had a waterbirth with no pain relief 🤣 I want a homebirth this time but I have to do for a glucose test in June as my BMI is 30.2 🙄 petrified I might end up having it and have to be induced so I've got that playing on my mind now.. grrrr x

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 14:52

@CaptainSpirit I was incredibly lucky first time, went into labour naturally after a 2nd sweep and had given birth within 4 hours of me going to the MLU, it was very quick but it took me months to recover. Thankfully only 2nd degree internal tear so I got off pretty lightly compared to some. Thinking I've been given a false sense of security though and this time it's gonna go haywire lol. X

penguin7 · 06/04/2021 14:59

I created a thread similar to this yesterday. I'm 15wk1day and been worrying as I don't feel pregnant! Hoping a bump will start to appear soon.

CaptainSpirit · 06/04/2021 15:01

@MyGrassIsBrowner Very tired this time round!! Running after two little ones is definitely the cause of that though. Although because I'm so busy with them I've found the weeks absolutely flying by which is nice.
Ah it sounds like you had a lovely birth first time round! Sorry it took a while to recover though, fingers crossed no tearing for you this time round. 🤞🏻 A home birth sounds so daunting but it definitely seems to have its upsides, I hope you can have the birth you want! ❤️ How old is your older little one now?

My first birth was pretty rough, I won't go into it too much details but it was very long and resulted in an epidural. My second birth couldn't have been more different though, I was in labour for fifteen minutes with no time for pain relief, she practically fell out. 😂

MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 15:15

@CaptainSpirit yes I feel you! DD has just started crawling but she'll definitely walk before I'm due and that'll be a whole other level. She turned 1 end of the month! How old are yours?
I'm sorry you had a rough birth first time, it's scary enough as it is without complications but the midwives are generally fantastic. My midwife was a bit stand offish though and she allowed me to catch DD as she came out, however I panicked and nearly sat on her head and she shouted at me, afterwards my DH had a word with her and she apolgised. Made me feel like a right idiot at the time though.

Hoping that's how it'll go for me 2nd time, will be handy to have a home birth in mind cause if that's the case I probably wont make it to the hospital anyway 🤣 x

CaptainSpirit · 06/04/2021 15:28

@MyGrassIsBrowner Oh gosh, I bet she's everywhere now that she's mobile! 🙈 They're exhaustingly lovely when they're little aren't they.
My two girls are 3 (4 in June) and 15 months - the elder one is super relaxed and sweet and the younger one is a happy little whirlwind. 😂

Omg, your midwife sounded so rude! Shock I'm glad she apologised, still horrible though when you've just given birth. Hopefully you get a much more understanding one this time round. It must have been amazing to actually catch your baby! ❤️

Boxsky · 06/04/2021 16:09

@CaptainSpirit sometimes when I sneeze I feel like I've been stabbed for a second, but then it passes! Hoping this just means baby is growing!!

@penguin7 seems that this seems to be the time that everyone has the same doubts! Fingers crossed we feel some movement soon

OP posts:
MyGrassIsBrowner · 06/04/2021 16:59

@CaptainSpirit Oh they are wonderful but so so tiring!

What lovely ages to have, you can get the elder one to help mummy with baby which will just be lovely. My DD is teething atm so she's hard work some days and when I leave the room I get tantrums which is definitely exhausting to deal with somedays. But then she'll do something that'll melt my heart lol.

Yeah the midwife wasn't exactly reassuring but having the chance to catch my DD was an experience. I was just so shocked she was finally out and panicked and my initial reaction was to sit up from the all fours position I was in but baby was obviously right underneath me. It all happens so quick you just arent ready for it lol

CaptainSpirit · 06/04/2021 20:48

@Boxsky Ooft hope it's not too sore!! Definitely normal though, I'm sure baby is growing lovely! Smile I mostly have been getting backache lately, crawling into bed every night is starting to feel like a real treat.

@MyGrassIsBrowner She's going to be thrilled when we tell her (she doesn't know just yet), she's got an obsession with babies and pregnant women at the moment. 🙈 She told me the other day that she already has a little sister and now she would like a baby brother - started singing a song titled 'I want a little brother'. I hope she's just as happy with another girl if it comes to that. 😂
Oh no to teething, poor little thing! It must be horrible growing teeth. 😩 Hope it eases soon for her (and you!)

Hey ladies! Just checking in. How are you all doing? 😊
I'm having a really shitty week myself. My boobs have suddenly started feeling sore and prickly, left boob is bigger and more full than my right atm.. no idea what that's all about 🤨
Realised I've put on sooooo much weight since having my DD and feeling totally shit about it now as it's not asif I could even diet. I'm eating healthily and I still have an easter egg that I've refused to eat but it's sat there taunting me and tbh I'm feeling sorry for myself so might delve into it tonight.
Sorry for the negative post I guess I should be happy I'm pregnant at all but struggling this time. Anyone else suffering from really bad hormonal acne as well? My chin is absolutely covered and everything just seems to aggrevate it.
Oh and to top it all off there's been a burst water main in my area and now the water is manky with black sediment in it and all I really want is a bath! Give me strength!!! 😆 x

MyGrassIsBrowner · 08/04/2021 20:20

@CaptainSpirit Only just seen your last post lovely, your girl is going to be soooooo pleased when you tell her she's going to be a big sis🥰

GummyBear91 · 08/04/2021 20:36

@MyGrassIsBrowner sorry to hear you are having a rough week! Sounds like the burst water main really isn't helping either.

My skin flared up in the first 12 weeks but seems to have settled (on my face anyway). My back gets really dry and spotty so I moisturise it to help with the dryness but don't think that helps the spots! Just going to keep my back covered up but it's very frustrating.

In general I'm actually feeling a whole lot better than the first trimester (16w on Saturday). I can't say I'm back to my normal energy levels or anything like that but everything is currently much more manageable. Enjoying it while it lasts as I know it won't!

Eat that damn Easter egg and enjoy it. This is probably the first week I've even vaguely enjoyed of this pregnancy so can sympathize with you.

CaptainSpirit · 08/04/2021 20:49

@MyGrassIsBrowner Oh bless you, sounds like a rough week. Flowers I agree with @GummyBear91, eat the egg! The amount of chocolate I've eaten this week is horrendous. 😩 But like you said, there's nothing we can do about it just now so may as well enjoy eating all the delicious and bad things we want while we're pregnant!
Did you have hormonal acne with your DD? I had terrible skin when expecting my girls but it seems to be a bit better this time.
The burst water pipe sounds like a huge pain in the arse! Sad I hope they can fix it soon. Eat your chocolate egg and feel better soon. ❤️

@GummyBear91 Great to hear you're feeling a lot better! The first trimester is just awful, hopefully it's on to that lovely second trimester glow for us all soon. Smile
16 weeks, that's so exciting, will you be finding out the sex of your baby or having a surprise?
