So this may be a little early to even start a thread. I got a positive digital test at 3 weeks 5 days. Today I am 4 weeks. From the date of my last period (11th January), my due date would be 18th October 2021 I know it's very early days and anything (literally) can happen but I was hoping to find like minded people!

When do people generally contact their GP?

@Ola85 I hope your midwife appointment went ok earlier :)
It's hard not wanting to drink water isn't it because don't want to get dehydrated but then I also just don't really even feel that thirsty compared to normal and yeah water just tastes the worst right now I feel like it makes the horrible taste I constantly have in my mouth even worse aswell

mooloop · 18/03/2021 20:43

Very diluted sugar free vimto is working for me guys, I too can't stand plain water atm!

Kona84 · 18/03/2021 22:36

I have struggled with water and have started adding lemon and lime dilute to it.

I have my 12 week scan on the 7th April.
I’m feeling a bit firmer in the abdomen (but rounder)

joyseddy · 19/03/2021 07:09

Also due on the 17th October. This is my first pregnancy can't believe is this difficult🙄😫 anyways Congrats to all new Mom's

Raggeo · 19/03/2021 07:40

I've also gone off water. Didn't happen my first pregnancy and is weird because normally its all I usually drink. Sugar free 7Up has been my craving but I only let myself have 1 glass a day. Water tastes better in the evening but then I'm up at the toilet all night😂

HappyVibesxo · 19/03/2021 11:17

@jellybean13419 Congratulations on your scan, what a lovely photo! I'm due on the 4th and my dating scan is on the 30th. My anomaly scan is on the 24th May. Excited but nervous.

@pixiedust21Please don't worry this is my 4th pregnancy (BMI of 33) and I've never had any issues at scans. Good luck!

HappyVibesxo · 19/03/2021 11:18

I went off water too. It was awful! Ice, lots of ice! That helped xx

rtz22 · 19/03/2021 15:54

Oh my days, the nausea today is something else but luckily sucking ice cubes has helped! Had bloods done today and afterwards I ate but suddenly felt very unwell 🥴 getting bloods done for me is always a bit awkward as my veins are so faint it takes several attempts and some uncomfortable digging around. Two nurses and 4 goes later, I felt quite light headed!! Nearly 10 weeks now so I'm really fixing on the hope that nausea eases soon...seriously the first trimester makes me so appreciative of all the women who go through this!! Has anyone bought new bras or loose clothes yet ? Any recommendations for comfy gear that can grow with our changing shapes? Thanks 😊🙏

jellybean13419 · 19/03/2021 17:30

Thank you everyone for your lovely words 💖 can't wait to see all the little beans photo shoots in the coming weeks!

jellybean13419 · 19/03/2021 17:33

@rtz22 I'm so sorry it's hitting you hard. The first trimester really is bloody hard work! If it's any consolation, I found weeks 7/8/9/10 the worst and then week 11 was far better. I'm now 12 weeks and nausea seems to pretty much (touch wood) have lifted! And can feel some resemblance of energy creeping back. Hang in there girls, we're getting there! Xx

Cpr12 · 19/03/2021 18:49

@rtz22 I was sick as anything weeks 5-8.5 and have been pretty much fine since. But last time round was sick from 6-15 weeks. You just never know what you will get, so hopefully it eases for you soon!!

@jellybean13419 I have my energy back, 10 weeks tomorrow. Feel so good for it! Glad you are starting to feel better too 😊

HappyVibesxo · 19/03/2021 23:05

Same here, weeks 6.5-10.5 were utterly awful with sickness. 11+5 now and feeling 90% better! Still on the carbs though. Small steps 🤣

jellybean13419 · 20/03/2021 07:26

@HappyVibesxo oh yes, carbs always 😂 definitely salty cravings over chocolate any day. Think legend says salty is a boy and sweet is a girl, if we are really to believe any of that!

Jl2020 · 20/03/2021 07:35

Morning, hope everyone is doing ok?
Yesterday and this morning I have had the worst sickness from the moment I wake up, can't get away from the toilet.
I would like to go back to feeling fine and being worried about the no sickness rather than this feeling 😂

Ola85 · 20/03/2021 08:16

I'm joining the sicky club. I'm fine in the mornings but completely useless after 2pm 🤢

Yesterday we told the family. My younger son (11) was so emotional bless him. He said he's happy but can't help crying as he never experienced becoming an older brother 😍
He asked if he can sleep with me which he rarely does 😍 Parents and my sister were ecstatic 🤩 I'm glad we recorded all the fantastic reactions 🥳

Jl2020 · 20/03/2021 09:26

@Ola85 the sickness is awful isn't it!
aww what a sweet response and so nice that he's excited to be a big brother😍 recording people's reactions is such a good idea for memories in the future aswell! X

mooloop · 20/03/2021 13:37

Hey ladies! Just had my scan today, all looking good and saw the little heartbeat 💓 such an amazing experience! We've told DH's parents who are over the moon, and going to tell my parents this afternoon hope everything stays good from here 🤞🏻🍀

@Ola85 that's so sweet of your DS bless him!! 🥰

jellybean13419 · 20/03/2021 15:25

Congratulations @mooloop that is wonderful news 💖

Jl2020 · 20/03/2021 18:41

Congratulations @mooloop glad everything went well ☺️ x

jades132 · 20/03/2021 19:29

Congratulations @mooloop
I also had a scan today. Measuring exactly what I thought I was at 9 weeks and 5 days.
Still don't quite believe it!
Firstly we had been TTC for 2+years and was on the waiting list for IVF! Suddenly this just happened! And secondly I barely have any symptoms! Sorry to those who are suffering though.
Typically yesterday I got the call saying I was at the top of the list to start the IVF treatment! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Hope everyone is getting on okay. XxX

Ohhh @jades132 what a lovely post to read. So so so happy for you! They say miracles happen when we least expect them. And the little bean looks absolutely perfect 💖 congratulations!

mooloop · 20/03/2021 20:02

Amazing @jades132 you must be so happy!! 🥰 congratulations!

jades132 · 20/03/2021 20:13

@jellybean13419 @mooloop thank you so much 🥰

MeltingSnowflake · 20/03/2021 21:52

Ahhh congrats on all the scans ladies! How wonderful!

Sorry to everyone who's feeling rubbish. I feel wretched this evening and have a killer headache to boot. The midwife said I should avoid paracetamol unless absolutely necessary - any tips on what I should do instead (apart from drinking water, obvs)?

Kona84 · 20/03/2021 22:09

Have you asked her about aspirin?
You could try some reflexology - I find massaging around the base of my big toe helps with headaches.
