It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

I'm due my first baby on the 3rd (according to online calculator too!) found out in Monday 😊 still doesn't seem real!

Have told out parents but I'm desperate to tell my close friends especially the first couple of days after finding out πŸ™ˆ going to hold out until the 12 week scan though!

ChelseaCat · 29/01/2021 13:12

Ahhh congratulations!! Such an exciting time - It’s so hard not to tell the whole world isn’t it 😊😊😊

Ooh congratulations to you both! I'm due 11/10 I think, I've done so many tests I cant stop! I'm hoping for an early scan after a MMC in July. Have either of you heard from your midwife yet?

XSunflower · 29/01/2021 13:27

I’m due the 8th with my first! Super excited but also terrified at the same time πŸ˜‚ booked an early test for when I’m 7 weeks cause I didn’t realise how long the wait for the nhs one was!

Optimistic2021 · 29/01/2021 13:37

I phoned my gp on the Monday after getting a positive test and they gave me the number to phone to book midwife appointment and scan so have them booked for the start and end of March. Seems like ages away so I might look into an early scan, not sure I can wait that long πŸ˜©πŸ˜‚

ChelseaCat · 29/01/2021 13:41

Congrats @justteaplease and @XSunflower! Welcome to the party!

Blimey, you’re all way ahead of me - I haven’t done anything yet Grin

So exciting! I'll definitely be getting an early scan, hoping towards the end of Feb - that's not long at all! I've self referred to the midwife but not heard back yet. I'm so impatient!

Tryingandhoping2020 · 29/01/2021 13:54

Hi! Got my BFP yesterday, according to my app I’m due 2nd October but I ovulated on the 21st day of my cycle so I suspect the dates are slightly off!

ChelseaCat · 29/01/2021 14:10

Oooo an early scan is such a good idea, such a long wait otherwise

Welcome @Tryingandhoping2020 - congratulations!

Congratulations @Tryingandhoping2020 πŸŽ‰πŸ‘Ά

Anyone know what week you should get an early scan from? I'm really considering it as not sure I can wait until the end of March! I've only known since Monday and it's been the longest week yet! 8 weeks still to go 😭

justteaplease · 29/01/2021 14:38

@Optimistic2021 I think they say from 7w you can see the heartbeat!

W8inray · 29/01/2021 16:22

Hey! I’m due around 8th October I think. Got my BFP on Tuesday, I know what you mean about it being a long week. I’ve told a few people but trying not to tell everyone. I told quite a few people we were TTC because I didn’t expect to get pregnant so fast... now I feel like they’re all bound to ask how it’s going!

I’ve got a phone app with the doc next week. Thinking I’ll go for an early scan too because I’m too impatient to wait until week 12. I think you can get a viability scan from week 6!

XSunflower · 29/01/2021 17:16

@Optimistic2021 we found out on the same day! Took 4 ic throughout my day of work, then a frer and clear blue digital at the end of the day ready to tell my partner when he got home from work!

My first scan is booked for 20th feb snd I’ll be 7+2 then. Part of me wants to delay it for a week but I don’t think I can wait!

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 29/01/2021 20:49

Due the 6th!!

Luna30 · 29/01/2021 21:36

Hey everyone. Long time lurker, first ever post. We found out this evening that I am pregnant (confirmed with 3 bfps!). Think I’m 10 dpo today (confirmed with opks).
Obviously very early days and am extra cautious after a chemical in September 2020. Scary but exciting times ahead.
What symptoms did you all have, if any?

gln1989 · 29/01/2021 21:36

I am so glad to have come across this thread I've been waiting such a long time to finally chat with others about this. First baby due October 11th.

Finally got my BFP 2 days ago and told my OH and he was so shocked and didnt believe the test he said I should go to the doctors for a test and blood test to check that it's real πŸ˜‚. Weve been trying since September.

I've been having twinges in my pelvis but apparently that is just everything stretching to get prepared for baby but I did have one today that did make me take a deep breath, praying everything goes ok 🀞.

Called my doctors who referred me to the midwife centre, spoke to them today and my midwife will give me a call in a couple of weeks as they said I am still really early.

Congratulations all what an exciting time ahead we have 🎊πŸ₯°β€πŸ€°

Falafelwrap · 29/01/2021 22:06

Congratulations all, it is so lovely reading all your posts and seeing we are all in the same boat and having similar thoughts and feelings.

I really did not have any sense that I was pregnant before today as I didnt notice any symptoms but I was due on my period last week, having cramping pains but no bleeding? This morning I was eating breakfast watching Married At First Sight Australia and thought, I'll just go pee on a stick to put my mind at rest... midway through brushing my teeth I noticed the two lines. 4 more positive tests later, here we are. Fucking hell what a day! I dont know what to say really but like others have said, it's just nice to have an anonymous space to tell others without worrying about reactions or jinxing things.
If all goes well from here this will be my first baby, feeling very clueless right now so thank fuck for google lol

Wishing you all happiness and health πŸ’–

ChelseaCat · 29/01/2021 23:04

Congratulations to all the latest posters. What a great little group we have already! And how lovely to have a people to chat with in these early days.

LauEli · 30/01/2021 00:32

We have a bigger group called October 2021 babies there's quite a few of us in there if anyone wanted to join that chat too, also a secret Facebook group 😁

Congratulations for all the bfps such an exciting time!

justteaplease · 30/01/2021 06:43

Hello to all the new posters and congratulations! My husband got my pregnancy pillow down from the loft last night, what a great sleep I had!
@gln1989 I'm due the 11th as well! When is your period due? Mines Sunday - I'm probably going to do another test on Monday just because I'm obsessed!

anothermonthbitesthedust · 30/01/2021 11:06

Hi

Would love to share your journeys
I've got a BFP and hopefully due 7/10
This will be my third pregnancy. Had a MMC in June at 8 weeks. Very nervous and anxious, but I'm trying to relax and enjoy every moment of being pregnant. Even if I have bad indigestion and the worst burps already!

gln1989 · 30/01/2021 16:42

@justteaplease I have two apps and one says today and the other says Monday. I found out on Wednesday but have continued to use the tests that came with my OPK's and the line has got much darker each time. Clearblue digital and FRER both confirmed i was pregnant on Thursday.

This is our first baby so I'm super excited. Have been getting some little twinges and cramps in my abdomen but I assume this is normal.

Congratulations ladies, it is so lovely to see so many ladies getting amazing news in 2021.

I called my midwife centre and they went through questions with me I just have to wait a couple of weeks to see my midwife so I will ask about the early scan as I wasnt aware this was an option.

X

LauEli · 30/01/2021 16:47

@gln1989 it's not usually an option provided by your midwife people have their early scans privately. Unless you feel there is something wrong, pain bleeding etc where you may be offered a scan at your early pregnancy unit

gln1989 · 30/01/2021 18:13

@LauEli

I have been having a few pains on my left side mainly but no bleeding or other symptoms really. I guess this is just my body changing, preparing for baby. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Thanks for the info though

justteaplease · 30/01/2021 18:23

I'd be hoping for an early scan from the NHS after my MMC, I had surgical management and the doctor said I could have an early scan 'next time round'. A friend went through similar though and they said no early scans at the moment due to COVID! If I can't get one with the NHS I'll get one privately.
I've had some serious cramps today. I'm due on tomorrow so hoping they are just normal pregnancy cramps! Anyone else?
