It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

@PumpkinEverything not doing anything different really, probably taking it a bit easier on myself and am definitely trying to keep the anxiety at bay! Will absolutely do EPU early scan and then probably quite a few private ones as well as I know I will need a lot of reassurance!

@Jangirl03 I'm so sorry for what's happening. You're not alone! just to agree in that they tell you to wait one cycle only for dating purposes. But it's completely up to you when you try again. I actually didn't get my period again after my surgical procedure but knew I was ovulating 6 weeks after procedure as in terrible ovulation pain (common after d&c) and I felt ready to try, knew I'd be more fertile than normal and was just lucky it worked.

Tilly0756 · 01/02/2021 21:23

@vikmc87 I couldn't not tell my mum and my sisters. Telling them early on last time helped me thru my mmc and d&c. Completely up to you when you tell them. If you want the support it might be helpful? This time I'm being a bit more cautious but mainly because of pandemic and I want to tell my friends in person.

Welcome @Katie1109 lots of nerves all around!

jules5232 · 01/02/2021 21:26

@vikmc87 Congrats!! So did I, I was starting to feel like it was never going to happen so when I told my husband I couldnt stop crying. I'm trying to stay positive about it no matter what the next few months bring, because after this long it's still such a positive.

Aozora13 · 01/02/2021 21:38

Hi can I join the party too please? I’m just squeaking in with an EDD of 1 October! Finally admitting to myself the tests might not be lying after I retched at the bin this morning. I already have 2 DC but I’m neurotic as hell this time around - I blame lockdown for taking away my usual distractions! Here’s to happy and healthy pregnancies all round!

Peachee · 01/02/2021 22:31

Yay! Hiya! I’m due around 15th October.. have just received my BFP tonight. I’m so excited!!!!
This will be my 2nd !!

Dreamingoutloud7 · 02/02/2021 09:16

Hi everyone.
Hope it’s ok to join, I’m due baby #2 on 8/10.
Exhaustion has hot full on over here!

TheFamousMrEd · 02/02/2021 09:59

Am I the only one whose taken a second test a few days later just to make sure?!

It still doesn’t feel real!

justteaplease · 02/02/2021 10:23

@TheFamousMrEd I've taken so many tests! Today I took a clear blue that says 2-3 weeks and it made me so happy Grin

TheFamousMrEd · 02/02/2021 10:30

@justteaplease I’m glad it’s not just me πŸ˜‚

I have so much work to do, but just can’t focus on it today. Too much swirling around in my head

Spillanelle · 02/02/2021 10:42

Congratulations to all of the other newcomers!

How is everyone feeling today?

I feel absolutely exhausted. I’m finding it’s harder to push through the tiredness working from home, wondering if anyone would notice if I just went for a nap for an hour πŸ˜‚

Peachee · 02/02/2021 10:42

Me too I’m testing galore.. have just ordered 25 cheapies to arrive before 7 today and DP has just suggested we go and get a clear blue later to make sure haha. We’ve all got the big! I’m so excited this time!! X

Dreamingoutloud7 · 02/02/2021 10:45

@Spillanelle
So so tired over here! Couldn’t stomach my coffee this morning so that really hasn’t helped!

Katie1109 · 02/02/2021 10:59

Morning ladies! I hope everyone is ok. I just wanted to ask for anyone who is between 5-6 weeks how are you doing symptoms wise? The only symptom I have is sore boobs and period like pressure, nothing else at all and it worries me! I would much rather be floored with nausea and tiredness so at least I know things are progressing 😩 am I just being silly? I have booked a scan for 8 weeks, but 18 days away seems like eternity and I cannot focus on anything at all atm apart from my anxiety πŸ˜₯

PumpkinEverything · 02/02/2021 11:09

Feeling pretty tired today too, but think it’s because I didn’t sleep well more than anything! I’m only 4+1 so not expecting too many symptoms yet I don’t think?! 😳 I was going to test again today but think I’ll maybe do tomorrow instead 😊 think from what I’ve read your levels double every 48 hours so think I’ll end up torturing myself if I compare the lines πŸ˜‚
I have a CB digital that I want to take, but thinking it’ll say im only 1-2 weeks, is that right? I want to save it for saying I’m further πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so silly

Aozora13 · 02/02/2021 11:18

@Katie1109 I’m around 5w5d and currently feeling the beginnings of morning sickness and am a bit tired but otherwise still mostly feel like AF could arrive any day! With my previous 2 the real symptoms didn’t really kick in to 6-8 weeks but everyone is different.

I just got my booking appointment, for 12 March. By which point I’ll be 11 weeks! Good knows when they’ll get around to scanning me, thinking I might go for a private scan at about 7-8 weeks.

gln1989 · 02/02/2021 11:20

@TheFamousMrEd

I found out a week ago and i still continue to test. This will be baby #1 so i am super excited to see the second line, We have been TTC for 5 months. I have been getting cramps but i think this is normal from reading forums and the line is definitely getting darker.

@Dreamingoutloud7 I wasn't feeling too bad but since Sunday i could have gone to bed at 7:30pm and really struggled through the day at work.

Keeping everything crossed for us all ladies :-)

Such an exciting time

gln1989 · 02/02/2021 11:24

@Katie1109 try not to get worked up. Everyone is completely different, i have been very tired and had AF like cramps with slightly tender boobs whilst others are saying they have already felt sick.

Stay positive, and enjoy it. 18 days will be here in no time :-)

Has many told friends or family yet? I am so worried about jinxing it that we have decided to keep it to ourselves for another couple of weeks.

justteaplease · 02/02/2021 11:37

@Dreamingoutloud7 oh god I can't live without coffee! It's been hard enough cutting down to one cup!

@Katie1109 I'm almost 5w and no symptoms yet.. I believe they mostly come around 8 weeks! They did with my first! I have a scan at on 24th, I am counting down the minutes

@gln1989 I have told my 2 closest friends but apart from that keeping it to ourselves as well. Hoping after my early scan I'll tell my dad (if all is well) as it's the day before his birthday!

Fingers crossed for us all!

EveryClaud · 02/02/2021 11:37

Congrats all!

I'd love to join in too. I'm a first time poster and first time mummy to be. I'm due on October 10th! It's a planned pregnancy and we had been trying for about 5 months - although I'll be honest, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly as I know it can take a while (my partner and I are both 30).

Told close family over the weekend and everyone was overjoyed - first grandbaby on both sides. It's all very exciting but overwhelming at the same time! Glad I can speak to all you lovely people about it since I'm the first from my friendship group to have a baby.....a lot of firsts I know! Smile

gln1989 · 02/02/2021 11:43

@EveryClaud

CONGRATULATIONS :-) Exciting times ahead x

Spillanelle · 02/02/2021 11:44

@Katie1109 - I’m only just over 4 weeks so can’t comment on this time, but with my first pregnancy the only symptoms I had were stomach cramps for the first week, and then nothing until about 8 weeks when the morning sickness started. So I don’t think it’s anything to worry about if you aren’t feeling much yet.

This stage is so nerve wracking though isn’t it, not knowing what’s going on in there. I don’t think I properly relaxed last time until after the 20 week scan when I could see everything was okay and could feel her moving around in there. It’s going to be a very long few months!

Spillanelle · 02/02/2021 11:48

@gln1989 - we haven’t told anybody yet and probably won’t tell anyone for a while. I’m quite liking it just being the two of us who know.

Although having said that I’m going for a walk with my best friend next weekend, we’ve both been TTC for a while and often talk about it so I’ll probably tell her if she asks, she’ll see right through me if I try to lie.

MichyP94 · 02/02/2021 11:56

I'm currently roughly 5 weeks (Due very early October) pregnant with my first and have booked an early scan privately for next Wednesday. I'm very anxious with every ache and pain with this being my first time. I've had a dull ache that comes and goes in my pelvis area, desperately hoping it's just growing aches. Symptoms are coming and going but no sickness yet which I'm grateful for!

PumpkinEverything · 02/02/2021 12:03

@gln1989 I think I’m going to tell a few people soon. For these next few days I’m enjoying it for just us. I would like to not tell people and keep it to us, but I had a MMC in November and the only person who knew was one of my best friends. It was awful having to ring my mum the day I found out and tell her in one breath I was pregnant and also miscarrying, and then we just had to tell people within the days after that. I know we weren’t obliged to but I wanted people to understand what was happening in my life as I was devastated and I really needed the support.
Will probably tell my mum and two best friends and that’s all I think I’ll need for now. Would prefer not to tell his parents as I know his mum will tell people πŸ™ˆ

LunaDreams · 02/02/2021 12:05

@Katie1109 I'm about 5 weeks and 3 days. Like you have have mild cramping and slightly sore boobs but nothing else. No super tiredness/nausea/cravings/gone off coffee.

Trying not to worry about it as every pregnancy is different and everyone will feel differently. I have booked in an early scan for when I'm 7 weeks.

I have told my parents and my Dad's advice was to just relax and enjoy it so that's what I'm trying to do Smile
