Hey ladies,

Just thought it might be a nice idea for any of us first time mums just finding out to have a thread to chat on.

@Cons33 I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. You may just be one of the lucky ones! Also bear in mind, symptoms go up and down. My boobs are a lot less sore than they were 2 weeks ago at 6wks but everything looked good on my early scan. As for the nausea, the less said the better!

AdventuresAwait · 07/02/2021 16:16

Thinking of you @unicornpower and sending best wishes x

Bubbles1st · 07/02/2021 16:33

@unicornpower hope you're home and feeling better really soon!

@Cons33 this is my first pregnancy too abs I have very minimal symptoms other than being more tired and sore boobs. I do have a weird appetite and some aversions but no nausea with it. I thought it was out of sorts too but I had an early scan at 8 weeks for piece of mind and all is fab so far. So just feeling lucky and hoping it lasts and I don't get knocked for six later on!

Kirky658 · 07/02/2021 16:39

@cons33 hey, I'm 8 weeks now and symptoms very up and down, apparently it's normal to not feel any at your stage too 😊

@unicornpower oh no hun! Hope you start to feel better soon I am glad you're being looked after x

Cons33 · 07/02/2021 17:14

@Kirky658 @Bubbles1st @Taybz
Thankyou girls for your reassurance!! I know I'm overthinking every little thing but makes me feel better that I'm not the only one! Smile

AnitaB83 · 07/02/2021 17:54

@unicornpower I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you start recovering with the IV fluids and that the scan goes well.

@Cons33, I would say, no worries. This is my first pregnancy too, I am 8+3 weeks and no nausea, no headache, no aversions or cravings! only boobs slightly bigger and I am sleeping all the time! I had an scan 6+1 and it was fine so I guess I just have to pray everything keeps on going well and, as others say, consider myself lucky!

NommyChompers · 07/02/2021 18:11

@unicornpower sorry to hear that you’re having a rough time of it! At least you’re in the right place. Sending hugs and support and let us know how you get on xx

Hello hello all,

I've just stumbled across this thread and thought I'd say hi Grin
I'm currently 8+3 and have a booking in appointment tomorrow, then a private scan (so husband can come too!) in the afternoon.

Excited/nervous/terrified - feels like it's been our bubble so far, but looking forward to a grown up telling us it's real!!

Hope you're all doing okay - look forward to chatting to you!xx

AdventuresAwait · 07/02/2021 21:14

Congratulations and welcome @tails89! Exciting that you have your booking appointment and scan tomorrow Smile x

Kirky658 · 07/02/2021 21:53

@tails89 yay exciting day tomorrow 😁 I'm 8+2 so just behind you, we had early scan last week and like you say it's so nice having a grown up confirm it. Lol! Hope all goes well x

CherylLW · 07/02/2021 23:15

Thinking of you @unicornpower, sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time, you’re in the right place now and they can look after you x

I’m now 10+2 and at around 7-9 weeks I had issues sleeping, waking up in the night and not being able to go back!! For the past week or so it’s been so much better, I just sleep more and easily fall back after I wake in the night... hopefully it stays like this for a while now!

Brightspark12 · 08/02/2021 07:09

@Poppysmile I have been getting this too and it’s been keeping me awake.. not sure whether it’s some indigestion or something? X

Chica1990 · 08/02/2021 10:40

@unicornpower I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and have my fingers crossed! A girl on the TTC after ectopic thread is pregnant and was in a massive panic after brown discharge but was ok so sending you positive vibes ❤️

I haven’t been feeling great for a couple of weeks and have tablets to help but I’ve felt noticeably better today and yesterday, I’m 8+3 today. Should I be worried?

ChrAmbaby · 08/02/2021 10:47

@Cons33 - same for me besides the lill bit of fatigue and sore breasts no other symptoms at all. Now struggling with the insomnia that we have discussed below but I am 7+ 4 and no other symptoms. So don't worry you aren't alone.

ChrAmbaby · 08/02/2021 10:49

@unicornpower sorry to hear that you had to go to the hospital. Hope the drip is giving you some strength and that you are feeling better. Take care!

Hopefulmummie · 08/02/2021 11:06

@unicornpower hope you feel better soon Flowers

I have a private scan tomorrow I'll be 8 weeks. I'm really nervous as my symtoms seem to have disappeared. I was completely floored on Saturday but from then feel fine. Has anyone else's just disappeared suddenly?

CherylLW · 08/02/2021 11:42

@Hopefulmummie mine kind of come and go... if I sleep well I’m not as sicky in the day and then some days I feel sick all day! There is always constant sore or tender boobs but that’s the only constant symptom I have.

Hope all goes well for your scan tomorrow xx. I went to mine at 8+3 and it was lovely x

Brightspark12 · 08/02/2021 11:43

@Hopefulmummie I keep worrying cos my symptoms were going on and off- the only symptoms I’ve had is mild cramping and really sore boobs, other than that feeling ok. My boobs are always hurting but will get less so then I’ll worry but I’ll wake up the next morning and back with a vengeance. I read somewhere that you get doses of hormones every couple of days hence the varying strength of symptoms xx

Kirky658 · 08/02/2021 12:14

@hopefulmummie I'm having good days and bad days. Some days, like Saturday, I was just exhausted. Did nothing but nap. Also very tired yesterday. Today I feel OK up to yet. Just telling myself all is OK, as I had my scan last week. Got my booking appt today over the phone x

Hopefulmummie · 08/02/2021 12:32

@CherylLW @Brightspark12 @Kirky658 thanks girls. I dont think worrying ever stops no matter what happens you just can't win lol.

Well I wasn't worrying for long-started feeling a bit nauseas again and had to run to the toilet to throw up. It was the worst it's ever been. Thank god for working from home lol I dunno what I would do if I was in the office full time

Jay3004 · 08/02/2021 13:33

@unicornpower thinking of you and hoping you’re feeling better and get home soon xx

Kirky658 · 08/02/2021 13:55

@hopefulmummie bless you hun! I have also been feeling extra nauseous today, just cant decide what I want to eat!

ChrAmbaby · 08/02/2021 16:08

@Hopefulmummie hope your appt went well, what did you talk about? Any particular questions you asked, I have mine tomo...

Hopefulmummie · 08/02/2021 16:20

@ChrAmbaby I haven't had an appointment yet sorry. Just an early scan a few weeks ago at epu. Have a private scan tomorrow though
