First baby due September 2021

Hey ladies,

Just thought it might be a nice idea for any of us first time mums just finding out to have a thread to chat on.

I found out Monday and am now 4+4.

@h3llie oh tell me about it. I wanted cheese and crackers first couple weeks now I've moved onto cheese flavoured things. When it gets to dinnertime I just aren't really hungry...unless it has cheese in it 😂 last night DH made a chicken in black bean sauce and just didn't enjoy it x

@Kirky658 I just have no interest in food at the moment unless its melon or crackers/crisps! I got really upset last night as we had pizza and the look/smell of it just turned my tummy and I even threw the chips up after and I was just like WHYYYYYYY won't you accept anything

@unicornpower lol. I wish I liked melon! I just wanna eat mini cheddars, just had a pack and fancy another.. I'm gonna be huge by the time baby arrives lol

Hey girls. I had a scan the other day to put my mind at ease and found a strong little heartbeat and got dated 6weeks 5days. The day after my scan, I started heavily bleeding (bright red blood) obviously nothing but panic set in, the blood slowed down and the next day almost came to a stop, just like spotting now. Doctor said it's a threatened miscarriage and have booked me in for a scan tomorrow to see if my little peanut is still beating strong. Anyone else experienced this or anything like it? Any reassuring comments welcome LOL! X

@chenellecawthra thats good you saw the heartbeat hun, I dont know if its any help but I had brown spotting yesterday and I panicked and called the midwife who said its quite common to gave a bit of bleeding after an internal ultrasound (did you have an internal?) As it can dislodge old blood, burst blood vessels or irritate your cervix. I hope everything is okay for you love xxxx

@chenellecawthra1 I know it is easy to say but try and stay calm. There are many reasons for bleeding during the first trimester that don't necessarily mean the worst. I hope everything goes OK tomorrow and you see your little peanut is just fine. ❤️🥜

@unicornpower yes I did have an internal, I was very uncomfortable during it, I wondered if it had anything to do with that but the doctors said they wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe! Very blunt with me!

@Kirky658 Thankyou, I'm the worst person for worrying. Just have to get tomorrow over and done with. Fingers crossed everything is okay 🤞🏻

@RadDarwazeh today I tried having no carbs for dinner so just chicken and some potato and the bloat seems to feel much better. Maybe something you want to try to. Hope you feel better soon.

Regarding the flu jab - yes apparently during pregnancy the immune system is weakened which in turn makes us more susceptible to viruses, atleast this is what I read and heard on podcasts which is why they recommend getting the jab. Better to have a conversation with your doctor/ midwife, that is what I will be doing for sure.

@Blessedbutstressed96 so happy you went for your scan and saw your baby... must have been so exciting to hear the heartbeat 💗

@Jay3004 looks like you don't have to think about this decision then.. good on you...

@GJ02 I have my first booking appt with my midwife in week 8 and then a face to face for bloods etc in week 9 and then the 12 week scan in diary as of now.

@ChrAmbaby was amazing to see feel such relief now and excited for the next 6 weeks to see how my babies grew

Hi, congratulations... i am at that dreaded stage of waiting for AF due in 2 days (friday)
And currently having BFN. 3 days ago i think i had implantation bleeding lasted 1 day and a half and now i have brown discharge when i wipe now and then but not huge amount. Felt ill last night withh dizziness/ nausea and tired .. had sore boobs and keep getting twinges in my lower tummy so just waiting for a BFP now x

@Sammy12xx This thread is focused on people due next September. You'll probably get better camaraderie for conception and the TWW on the October thread or the conception forums.

Omg scan is tonight.... So nervous but so excited. So scared something will not be right. Hoping and praying all is OK. X

@Kirky658 oh sending you lots of love and luck! What time is your scan? Can you stay busy? I found waiting was the worst and in the waiting room I was actually trembling so much it was visible haha thinking of you!

@unicornpower it isn't til 5:45 but I've got meetings galore for work today so hoping it will keep my occupied. I think I'll be a wreck later. Will share xx

@Kirky658 fingers crossed for a fab scan. We arrived 30mins early and had to wait in the car, it was the worst part! I was almost holding my breath waiting for the sonographer to tell me everything looked good so far!

Thank you @ChrAmbaby, @Blessedbutstressed96 and @unicornpower. We've not told anyone and won't for a while so it's nice to have others to share with on here. I've left a message with the early pregnancy unit so will see what they say. I'm not expecting much as I know how stretched the NHS is currently.

I was so nervous at mine yesterday but I thought I was so calm on the outside. Then afterwards my partner told me he could see my legs shaking!
