@chenellecawthra I hope youre okay and your scan went well ❤

chenellecawthra · 04/02/2021 16:40

@unicornpower scan was perfect. Peanut still beating away. They couldn't find the source of the bleeding but am still bleeding now. So was just told to keep resting now and no stress 😩

MrsMcNtobe · 04/02/2021 17:42

Hey ladies sorry work has been busy and I spend most of my other time snoozing 😂 has anyone suffered with what feels like a bit of shortness or breath and heart rate a bit higher? I’ve had it on and off today, haven’t felt awful but don’t feel 100% wasn’t sure whether to ring NHS for advice or if this is part of growing a little human?

CherylLW · 04/02/2021 18:28

Hey @MrsMcNtobe I sometimes feel like my heart rate is faster... I know it sounds silly but like I can feel it in my chest. I definitely feel like I get out of breath quicker now days!
10 weeks tomorrow! This past week I’ve felt the most drained and exhausted I’ve felt the whole pregnancy... it just kind of hit me!

Kirky658 · 04/02/2021 18:33

Hi ladies!!! So great news, little bub is 1000000% fine, saw the fastest little heartbeat, made me cry, and age of 7w6d which is bang on ❤️

MrsMcNtobe · 04/02/2021 18:34

@CherylLW I think that’s the same as I feel, I can’t feel my heart beating but it just feels like everything’s running a bit faster.. my friend said she remembers it because she was told that’s what happens when everything starts to expand but she can’t remember how far along she was.

10 weeks already that’s so exciting! I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and have my first appointment on Wednesday, have you had yours yet?

CherylLW · 04/02/2021 19:09

@MrsMcNtobe I feel like even even when I’m relaxed things are going faster. I’m sure it’s normal as there is so much going on in there!

I had my booking appointment about 4 weeks ago and I’ve got my blood tests tomorrow afternoon. They were earlier but I was isolating so had to change the date... I’ve got my scan at 11+6 and they have booked me in for my 16 week appointment with the midwife too!

MrsMcNtobe · 04/02/2021 19:13

@CherylLW is it just blood tests they do? I have no idea what to expect from mine and I’m nervous lol! I figured I can just ask any questions I’ve got then and they’d tell me if anything seemed irregular

Wintsgarden · 04/02/2021 19:15

Hello everyone - my first time on mumsnet but thought I better seek out a community of fellow mums-to-be because wow I have been feeling isolated during this lockdown. V lucky to be living with my partner, but just really missing my support network who all live a bit too far across London to see them to walks etc and my Dad and brother live up north and haven’t seen them for a year now ☹️

Anyway I am 9 weeks today and I’ve started feeling a bit better physically after weeks of exhaustion and nausea - although did have a turn last night after eating some curry 🤢🤢🤢. I’ve found on really struggling with my mood though - not sure if it’s hormones or lockdown (poss both) but just feel real sense of ‘bleughhhh’ - very weepy and low and frustrated and zero motivation to work. My mum died when I was 16 (aged 45) and I’ve felt v disconnected from that but think that’s hitting me a bit too this week (as was to be expected). Sorry for the miserable post!! Hoping I feel more positive soon - I am IN THEORY delighted to be pregnant, just finding it hard to engage with the joy right now when everything else is feeling a bit bleak and dreary. Got my 12 week scan March 2nd so holding out for that - abs my 30th birthday in a few weeks too! X

CherylLW · 04/02/2021 19:19

@MrsMcNtobe
When I went last time to have bloods when I had my MMC they did a urine sample (in the smallest thimble of a pot) and took some bloods. They had a general chat about how you’re feeling etc and gave me my maternity notes 😊

So you’ve had your booking appointment and are just waiting on bloods?

AdventuresAwait · 04/02/2021 19:25

Yay! @Chenellecawthra1 and @Kirky658! So pleased to hear your scans went well. Fab news x

Kirky658 · 04/02/2021 19:30

@Chenellecawthra1 omg so happy for you, been worrying about you all day ❤️

@adventuresawait thanks beaut ❤️

Bubbles1st · 04/02/2021 20:08

@chenellecawthra @Kirky658
So pleased for happy scans for you both!!

Bubbles1st · 04/02/2021 20:10

@Wintsgarden
Welcome, sorry to hear this is such an emotional time for you other than just dealing with the pregnancy and nausea with it!

Hopefully you can find support in here.

Lots on the horizon with you turning 30 and becoming a mummy!

Kirky658 · 04/02/2021 20:27

@mrsmcntobe on the heart rate, it is very very normal for it to feel faster and for you to sometimes get palpitations during pregnancy, as your body gets used to the extra bloody flowing through you. Try not to worry. I have the opposite where my heart rate is really low, but the sonographer told me today that it's because I am super fit and bub is too so that was nice 😁

@wintsgarden sorry to hear things are difficult hun, being pregnant in lockdown is not fun, but we are here if you want to lend an ear! Glad the nausea is improving a bit too. X

Taybz · 04/02/2021 20:29

@chenellecawthra @Kirky658 that's wonderful news and I'm so glad you can put your mind at ease now!

@Wintsgarden sorry you're having a rough time. I think the lockdown blues intensifies the weight of all other hardships and I pray it ends soon so we can get back to some kind of normal. Have you got anyone close that you can open to? I don't know about you but I always feel that talking to someone close helps. Thinking of you xx

Taybz · 04/02/2021 20:31

@MrsMcNtobe sometimes I feel my heart is racing like twice it's pace which in a way I guess it is. Apparently it's normal though. Try to close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths when this happens, I find it usually helps.

MrsMcNtobe · 04/02/2021 20:38

@CherylLW no I haven’t had anything at all yet, I phoned the midwife number and the receptionist put me on hold and then just gave me the appointment dates so haven’t spoken to anyone yet.

@Kirky658 @Taybz thanks for the reassurance girls, I wasn’t overly worried just cautious that I didn’t feel 100%, I’ve had dinner and it’s passed a little now but seems like it’s something we’ll need to get used to

CherylLW · 04/02/2021 20:57

@MrsMcNtobe I think it varies all over the country what they do... I’m Hampshire and I think my booking appointment was early at 6 weeks because of my previous loss.

Won’t be long until it’s all on the way, at least the dates are sorted 😊

Taybz · 04/02/2021 21:21

Ladies, when are you planning to tell work? Have you told any close colleagues yet? I'm fairly close to and work closely with one of my colleagues but I'm not sure if I should tell her yet, I'm 7+4 or 8wks according to the W2W scan.

Kirky658 · 04/02/2021 21:32

@taybz I've told my work bestie, because she guessed I was 😂 she knew we were trying and said I looked rough and said she just knew. I'll be telling everyone else after the 12 wk scan.

AdventuresAwait · 05/02/2021 05:36

@Taybz, I've told my manager and a couple of colleagues who I currently have regulsr zoom meetings with. Partly because I couldn't wait to tell them and partly because I thought I might have to suddenly disappear due to the nausea!

Jay3004 · 05/02/2021 05:57

@Chenellecawthra1 @Kirky658 so pleased both your scans went well!

@MrsMcNtobe I’m exactly the same! Sometimes it feels like my heart is racing and I get out of breath doing small tasks. Seems like it’s just another pregnancy thing we’ll need to get used to.

unicornpower · 05/02/2021 07:35

@MrsMcNtobe @Jay3004 I feel the same! I just climbed the stairs and my heart is pounding and im out of breath haha

@Chenellecawthra1 @Kirky658 so pleased your scans went well for you both! Thats fab news! 🥰

@Taybz I told my boss as I needed time off due to the sickness but I havent told anyone else yet, hopefully will after the 12 week scan if all is well!

GWhiteley · 05/02/2021 07:57

I'm slightly concerned. I'm 9+2 & until yesterday during the day I would feel things moving around & happening in my womb (if that makes sense) and although the nausea at certain smells is still there I didnt really felt anything else yesterday. Do you think that's ok & normal or should I talk to someone? I had a mc last June & am so scared something bad is going to happen again I've been super-cautious this time round.
