Anyone having problems trying to keep the news quiet? Basically all of my close family and friends know and I have quite a BIG family so there’s a lot of people that know right now. I haven’t announced anything on social media and tbh I don’t know if I will, the people I’m close to know and that’s all that matters to me.

Anyway, a friend, who I only told this early on because she was trying too and said please tell her ASAP when I know because she’ll probably be upset (a bit odd, but I get it, so told her) has inboxed another friend asking if she’s heard my news....without asking me first if I’d told her, and I hadn’t, so that forced my hand to share my news with people I wasn’t ready to share it with yet! I’m only 4 weeks, anything could happen at this point?!

That was a few days ago, I eventually got over it but tbh I’m still a bit mad, because I think she knew what she was doing. ANYWAY, I posted yesterday a picture on FB of me, my dog and DH in the snow, and my great aunt commented ‘Congratulations, 3 soon to become 4! Xxxx’ at about 11pm last night, I was already asleep so I didn’t see it to delete it until 6am this morning and feel like everyone has seen it now and I’m so annoyed!!

Starting to wish I told absolutely no one ☹️

beckyBP · 15/01/2021 08:01

@JenA82 congratulations to you too! 🥳 exact same symptoms as mine! I think it's super normal.

@Olinguita of course you can. Congratulations!! I think we're all in similar boats symptoms wise. Are you wishing time away like me?

@meganlea ah well done very organised!
Oh no what a nightmare for you! I'd be mad too. Also, older people and social media clearly don't work do they 🙈 bless you! I've only told my mum so far but will be telling my dad and my fiancé's parents tonight and then our siblings tomorrow.

My fear is of people not being able to keep their mouths shut though!!

unicornpower · 15/01/2021 08:06

@Olinguita congratulations! I feel the same about celebrating, im very cautious but hopeful. Keep positive! Theres a better chance of all being okay i promise.

@meganlea I joined the group too! Already really helpful and the ladies are lovely.

I cant believe that about your friend?! I would be fuming if someone shared my news! Are you going to say anything? I hope you're okay?

Has anyone else got pretty much zero symptoms? I dont really feel different other than the occasional wave of nausea but I get that before my period usually so I just dont feel pregnant Confused

unicornpower · 15/01/2021 08:21

Sorry, I didnt mean to ignore everyone else, im on my phone so keeping up with posts is hard! Congratulations to all you ladies! Im excited for us all 🥰

meganlea · 15/01/2021 08:24

@beckyBP yes now that is true, she's not the best, I'm just more annoyed my 2 sisters saw it last night and didn't think to message the aunt, knowing I'm asleep, to take it down, instead they just msged me like omg she's gunna be so mad! Yes I am, and with you 2 too now! lol. Ohh well, all I can do is just hope no one saw it and I've had no msgs so I don't think they did!! Aww I bet you're so excited to share the news they'll be over the moon!! We told DHs family and they were jumping up and down with excitement purely because the announcement wasn't coming from his sister, who has had 4 of them now, haha!

@unicornpower Yeah I called her out straight away and she laughed it off at first but then apologised so I can't really say anything else about it just until I've shared it myself, don't speak about it to anyone else. Hope she doesn't. I'm fine, honestly in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter but I was still like arrghhh I will never get this chance to share the news of my first pregnancy again, I want to be the one to to do it and to do it my way!!! lol.

Also I just have usual AF symptoms boobs and weird cramps that don't hurt like cramps? Kinda don't feel pregnant yet!! Which is why I want the scan soooo badly.

unicornpower · 15/01/2021 08:29

@meganlea oh definitely, its your news so not sure why anyone else would want to share it? Very strange!

I have been googling and think its normal at the stage we are at, apparently they don't normally kick in until 6 weeks so let's make the most of it 😉

fa1v17 · 15/01/2021 10:43

Hi I'd love to join :). We found out 27/12/2020, due date should be around 04/09/21. First baby so super excited and nervous too! I'm feeling really quite sick and achy all over and very tired too. Looking forward to the weekend so much! Congratulations everyone x x

bluemagicalsky · 15/01/2021 11:58

I feel you @meganlea I have some friends like this. It seems they just like to be the ones with the next big gossip so they can tell everyone themselves. I'll definitely be avoiding them for a little while!

@unicornpower Totally understand. I always felt like I would really feel some kind of different when pregnant. Turns out, our body's are made for this, aside from a few random symptoms that really could be due to anything, feeling exactly the same! Thought I'd feel like a different person 😂

ErrolFinn · 15/01/2021 14:43

Hello everyone,
Can I join too? My DD from the NHS calculator is 17th September and I'm apparently 5 weeks today going by my last period but I think I ovulated a few days late this month so I think I will be less. I'm 27 and it's my first pregnancy.
I've had to tell work so I could get a risk assessment done. We've not told anyone else yet but might tell my in-laws next weekend. It's so exciting but I'm so worried something's going to go wrong!

unicornpower · 15/01/2021 14:48

@bluemagicalsky its crazy isn't it, except the few cramps I've had and occasional nausea I have nothing 😅 which im trying to think of as positive but pregnancy makes you want all the symptoms 🤣

@ErrolFinn congratulations! How are you feeling? Are you going to have an early scan do you think?

Does anyone else feel erm 'wet' down there? Im wearing a pad but I feel like I'm coming on but then there's nothing there 🤭

ErrolFinn · 15/01/2021 15:11

@unicornpower

Yes!! I am definitely having more discharge than normal! Blush I keep worrying that I'm bleeding and running to the toilet to check.

I am not sure whether to have an early scan or not. I was thinking of booking one at 8 weeks just to confirm there is a heartbeat and it's still progressing. I think I'm more anxious because work knows so I just want to be sure that everything is going to plan. My DH thinks we should just wait until the 12 week scan. Are you having an early scan?

unicornpower · 15/01/2021 15:44

@ErrolFinn phewww I thought it was just me! Ita a really weird feeling isnt it, doctor google says its normal though so im just closing my eyes each time I pee 🤣

Im going to have one as soon as possible haha I want to make sure there's a baby in there and it all looks okay. I don't think ill believe its happening until I see that. Dont worry about having one just so work knows, they will be fine as long as you're okay. You just have to do whats right for you Were! Were they okay with your news? Smile

Dudedudey · 15/01/2021 15:55

Can I join? I have just found I am too! I think I am around 6 weeks but I have a scan next week to find out actual due date.

I am exhausted!! Does anyone else feel like they are walking through treacle?

Chica1990 · 15/01/2021 18:34

@ErrolFinn we are the same! I hit 4 weeks today with estimated due date of 17th sept going by last period!

NommyChompers · 15/01/2021 21:31

I haven’t called the GP yet - too nervous as so early and couldn’t face a receptionist telling me to test again in a week before calling back or something. Will try to psych myself to call tomorrow. So many of us due at the same time! Haven’t told anyone yet - really should tell work for risk assessment but again too nervous - so many maternity discrimination horror stories

NommyChompers · 15/01/2021 21:33

@unicornpower - no symptoms really, I think I need some so it feels real...

beckyBP · 16/01/2021 07:45

Welcome and congratulations to everyone new 🥳

@unicornpower yes to feeling a little wetter!! I have this too!

We told my dad and my fiancé's parents last night (told my mum earlier in the week) which was lush!

I get why people don't tell anyone but for us, these are all people we'd tell if anything was to happen anyway.

Hope we're all ok! X

Morning ladies! I wipe a little bit of brown discharge this morning which has got me freaking out and worrying, has this happened to anyone else? I had a little bit on Monday but then nothing else Confused

Suzim84 · 16/01/2021 08:24

Hi I'm due at the beginning of September with my first.

Been struggling with nausea for a few weeks now, trying not to tell people till the 12 week scan. So it would be great to have people to talk to!

NommyChompers · 16/01/2021 08:43

@unicornpower - yes me too but happening for a few days and small amounts so not AF - apparently normal at this time if small amounts, hopefully as things progress we can relax a bit more eh?

NazyK · 16/01/2021 08:47

@beckyBP

Hey ladies,

Just thought it might be a nice idea for any of us first time mums just finding out to have a thread to chat on.

I found out Monday and am now 4+4.

Hi Becky,

Congratulations, we are in the same boat. My due date is in September as well. First pregnancy :)

unicornpower · 16/01/2021 08:47

@NommyChompers is it still happening now? Iy happened on Monday just before I got my BFP and then I had a little bit on Wednesday and I thought it had gone but its back today Sad I just feel so scared! My MC last time started pink and went to red within 24 hours so I keep trying to hold on that this is different but im in a bit of a state today

beckyBP · 16/01/2021 09:17

@unicornpower isn't brown old blood?? Sorry you're so stressed doll.

Welcome to the new ladies! Defo lovely to have people on here to talk to! ☺️

OP posts:
unicornpower · 16/01/2021 09:58

@beckyBP that's what I've read on Google so im hoping that its right! I just feel so helpless as im only just coming up to 5 weeks (if I go by my first positive last monday) so there's nothing I can do anyway, just have to ride it out! It is only when I wipe so far and is a very pale brown so im hoping its nothing x

showmorekindness · 16/01/2021 12:01

Hi everyone. Congratulations on all your good news

Can I join please? Should be around 4+2 today, so due 23 September!
Missed miscarriage in September last year found at 12wk scan so feeling really anxious this time. Anyone else just dying to get past that 12wk point??

I've had really strong BFPs and 2-3wks on digital clearblue yesterday so all good so far. Does anyone else use the weeks tests to monitor progression in this early period?

Symptoms so far are just some light cramping and starting to feel more tired. Nausea didn't kick in until 6 weeks last time.

@unicornpower 🤞🏻 everything is okay for you
